Ingrid Van der Geist |

"She only wants the peace that has escaped her for so long." Ingrid whispers back. Words fail her as Vesorianna confirms every suspicion he had about Petros' death.
The Paladin's expression becomes a mask of determination and focused anger seeking a target. "Yes we will help you Vesorianna. We will stop them and help yu find peace."

Terrance Foehammer |

Terrance shudders slightly at the story the ghost gave.
We will do what we can to put them down, and allow you the rest that you so deserve.
Torag, give me the strength to maintain everyone against the evil in this place.

DM Twilight |

Looking relieved, Vesorianna smiles. "Thank you, guards. Thank you."
Uklod, I've marked the approximate area of sight with blue lines, and then marked them on the grounds map as well for reference.

Ioann Vilescu |

Ioann is filled with anger as the ghost relates the demise of professsor Lorrimor. As soon as he hears about the inscribing of magical runes on the outside of the building, Ioann forgets his fear of the specter and races to the window with Uklod (almost shoving the inquisitor out of the way).
Unable to see any clear runes inscribed on the ground, he strikes the wall with his fist in anger.
"You murder my mentor and then reanimate him... you will suffer. I will spite your, destroy what you have destroyed ... down with these runes first!" he says in a whisper barely audible to Uklod.

Terrance Foehammer |

Lady Vesorianna, do you have an idea where the other bad ones are, or where they might be?

DM Twilight |

Vesorianna is quiet for a moment as she feels out the prison, "The Piper is in the western cell block... Father Charlatan is in the eastern... Lopper is in the oubliette... The Marauder is in Captain Vortch's office... and The Splatterman is in The Nevermore. He wears at my resistance the most. There will be many other spirits that stand in your way, but those are the worst you will face. If you find something of theirs, you can use it to help defeat them. Look in the property room, but be warned, anything belonging to these vile ghosts is likely cursed. I believe that if you bring me my husband's remains, or perhaps even just his badge or another symbol of his authority, I will be able to keep them contained until they are all defeated. Then, with his strength and authority over this prison, I can finally rid this place of everything that haunts Harrowstone and take my rest as well."

Terrance Foehammer |

I cannot speak for the others, but I will do what I can Lady Vesorianna.
Terrance then looks at the others
I don't know about you, but I do not feel comfortable with letting the possibility of hostile spirits out into the world.
Shall we stop them, and then go hunting for those robed people and make them pay for the professor

Ioann Vilescu |

Ioann slowly turns around and, as slowly, lifts his head to be able to look into the specters eyes.
"We will help you. We will bring you your husbands belongings. We will defeat these murderous souls. We will destroy everythingsessions these necromancers have created." he says, his voice harsh and filled with anger.
And we will watch then as they despair and then strike them!
"Where is the way to the basement?"

DM Twilight |

"Thank you, guards, thank you. The stairs will be of no use, not with the deadfall lock. They are blocked off now. The lift is broken, but I think that it was the only other way below. It was in the room that they guards used for training. It is on the other side of the building."

Terrance Foehammer |

Lady, where is or was the property room ?

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"You've done more than enough, we will take care of things," Ingrid says with a small bow.

Terrance Foehammer |

I am thinking the property room. If there is materials that can help us, then we should make every effort to get them.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"Makes as much sense as anything else." Ingrid chimes in Let's get moving.

Terrance Foehammer |

Continue to stay strong lady, we will deal with this
Terrances voice then gets low and angry.
And then we will deal with the professors killers
He then starts to stump towards the door.

Uklod was beginning to think that Ioann had been locked in his room often as a child. He didnt argue not exploring the courtyard despite his desire to investigate any and all clues...it will be important to get Vesorianna's departed husband's belongings if it will result in her nulifying the other ghost's powers...

DM Twilight |

Which way are we going from here, folks?
Uklod, I don't think you were present yet when it was first mentioned so fyi, all doors in the prison unless specifically stated otherwise are rotted and stuck requiring a DC 13 Strength check if you want to open any yourself.

Haha! I did miss that. I've just been thinking Ioann likes smashing them.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"We may as well continue the sweep in the same manner, and go for the property room. Ready to proceed?" Ingrid asks, a look of focus on her face.

Ioann Vilescu |

Ioann quickly steps into the corridor, apparently in a hurry to get to the property room. He looks up and down the corridor, and, judging that the door in front AD22 of him is the most likely to lead to the other side of the building tries to smash it (after trying to open it using the handle).
Door destruction: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
If nothing of obvious importance is in the room:
Ioann curses, turns to the door on his left AC23 and smashes it without even trying to turn the handle.
Angry door destruction: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Not sure what you meant Ingrid. BTW everyone, if Twilight agrees and if I ever delay in posting, do not hesitate to make Ioann open any door you want. Just roll for him! He will be pleased with the increased in door wrecking!

DM Twilight |

AD22 is the door you already rolled for that leads into the hallway, so I'm thinking you meant the door at AD23-24
The first door Ioann smashes down leads to a small storage closet, it appears to have been well picked over throughout the years. The second door he smashes leads into a large room filled with moldy cots strewn about. There are three doors on the west wall that hang askew, and another door to the northeast. It would appear, looking in from the doorway, that this was once the prison's infirmary.
They could roll for Ioann to go all Ioann Smash! Or they could just roll their own check, it doesn't have to be Ioann to break the doors lol.

Terrance Foehammer |

I am perfectly happy to let Ioann do the door smash. :)
Terrance looks into the rooms as he placidly follows in the wake of the door destroyer.
Let us look through here
waving his hand at the room to the north.

Ioann Vilescu |

Ioann stands at the threshold of the room, barely able to stop himself from walking directly to the northern door z28, his desire to take revenge only slightly weaker than his fear of being attacked by invisible spirits. Without turning, he asks, most likelty to Ingrid:
"Is it safe?"
Yes, I misread the map, but these were the doors Ioann wanted to vent his anger on.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

Bracing herself for another unpleasant experience, Ingid agian shidt her vision into the supernatural spectrum.
Detect Undead

Ingrid Van der Geist |

"There is a presence, undead, of moderate strength. It seems centered in the middle of the room." Ingrid says in response.

Terrance Foehammer |

Shall we put this one to rest then, or continue to look for the property room ?

"Let us go through, the door over there z28 may lead to the property room. Now, pray your goddess and god that they may protect us." Ioann says, stepping inside the room with his sword lifted.
"Spirits, let us pass. We have no quarrel with you, only with those foul necromancers who seek to enslave you." the man continues slowly moving toward the center of the room.

Terrance Foehammer |

Goddess. . Torag is NO GODDESS!!
Terrance storms into the room behind Ioann
The maker protects us, but he is not a goddess.

"Her was referring to the Lady Pharasma Terrance." Ingrid replies striding into the room.

DM Twilight |

After a few of you have crossed the threshold, there is a movement in the center of the room as the figure of a twisted, nearly skeletal ghost shows itself.
The Poltergeist uses it's frightener ability as it shows itself, a DC14 Will save is required to avoid becoming frightened.
Frightened for # of rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Poltergeist 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Ingrid 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Ioann 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Terrance 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12
Ravel 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Uklod 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Ake 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Add 4 more if Spell, SLA due to steel soul, and 1 more due to glory of old trait
Will post my action in the proper initiative order, just getting this out of the way.

Ingrid Van der Geist |

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 +2 if necromancy based
Ugh!
