Can Urza climb onto the statue? If so, he will.
Climb 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

If not, he'll move to behind Makoa and cast Acid Splash.
Acid Splash: RTouch, fire into melee

Urza can climb onto the statue. However, because wading through the blood slows him down a bit, it will take a double move to do so, so no spell this round.

Urza moves wades through the blood and onto the dais. He circles around Mahjik and climbs onto the statue, using one of the outstretched wings for leverage. Yarzoth hisses in annoyance as he does so.

Pezock stumbles about.

ROUND 8

Active Effects:
Mage armour (Urza, Mahjik, Pezock)
Faerie fire (Yarzoth) -- will end on Makoa's turn in round 11
Summoned snake
Unknown effect on Yarzoth
Poison (Mahjik) -- needs two consecutive saves
Stun (Mahjik and Pezock) -- will end on Yarzoth's turn

Mahjik stumbles about.

Next Up: Douena, Yarzoth, Lorenz, Makoa, Urza, Pezock, Mahjik.

Female Gnome Cleric 4/ Rogue (burglar) 3

Having picked up her light, Douena realizes that she doesn't have her sling either. She knows she had it when she left the alcove because she was going to try to shoot Ieana; then that thing outside the door had made that awful noise; then that snake popped up next to her and she whacked it.... Must be over where she saw the snake, although she doesn't remember dropping it. She retraces her steps from the alcove and does indeed find the sling. Move to -A 20; Pick up sling Looking back up at everyone thronged tightly around Ieana in the corner, she sighs exaggeratedly. "Lorenz can't even shoot with his bow, people! You're all in his way." She turns to Lorenz. "I was going to open the door and see what that thing was outside. You want to come with me?"

Yarzoth concentration to cast defensively: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 -- pass

Mahjik finds his senses returning to him as the stun wears off, but he continues to feel weaker from the poison.

As Urza calls out to Douena, Yarzoth glares up at him and hisses, "FALL!"

Urza Will with Aerys's compulsion bonus: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 = 11 -- fail
On his turn, Urza must fall to the ground and remain prone for 1 round. He may perform other actions, as long as he remains prone while doing them.

Next Up: Lorenz, Makoa, Urza (must fall), Pezock, Mahjik, Douena, Yarzoth.

Sorry, personal disaster involving a pet in an animal hospital undergoing surgery. Long story, don't even want to talk about it.

Lorenz pales. "I think whatever out there should stay out there until we've taken care of Ieana!" He tries to say it quietly but can't quite manage.

In the meantime, he pulls two more arrows from his bow. Unimpressed with the effect of the last arrow, he goes back to using normal arrows.

Lorenz fires off two more arrows. The first flies wide, but the second gets almost there.

Alas the statue will be in the way. Keep in mind that you technically don't fall until your turn, so if an AoO should come up before your turn (unlikely, but you never know), you'll still be on top of the statue and could attack her without difficulty (and get the height advantage for melee attacks). On your turn, you fall, at which point the statue will provide cover between you and her.

Next Up: Makoa, Urza (must fall), Pezock, Mahjik, Douena, Yarzoth, Lorenz.

This is my last round of rage for the day! I hope we can kill her quick(he said as he hopes for a critical hit).

Feeling his strength starting to ebb slightly, Makoa lashes out with bloodied fangs once more!

Round 9, Initiative 24
AC 21; HP 13/32 (?)
Str 10(13)

Mahjik is fighting on the last of his capacities. His fists are lifted almost by unconscious instinct and they propel themselves at Yarzoth through muscle memory - and little else. Still, the attacks show results: the snake woman isn't used to fight combination onslaughts, and again the second attack breaks through her defenses and smashes into her face.

Attack, flurry 1, power attack 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 1 = 13 damage 1d6 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 0 + 2 = 7
Attack, flurry 1, power attack 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 1 = 20 damage 1d6 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 0 + 2 = 6

Makoa lashes out at Yarzoth, but she easily dodges away from him. At that moment, Urza lets go of the statue and falls down to the ground. Luckily, it's not a far enough drop to cause any damage. He does his best to will her dead from the ground.

Pezock grumbles about there being no room. He reaches down and picks up his dagger, which has been lying on the floor since the snake disappeared. He then throws it at Yarzoth.

Pezock dagger at Yarzoth: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 6 - 4 = 8 -- miss

The dagger ricochets off the statue and misses.

Mahjik has taken 4 points of Str damage so far (the last batch did 2 points at once). He should have a -2 penalty to his damage rolls, so the damage from his hit is 1 point lower.

Yarzoth reels from a lucky strike from Mahjik. Her forked tongue flicks in annoyance.

Next Up: Douena, Yarzoth, Lorenz, Makoa, Urza, Pezock, Mahjik.

Map Updated
The blue circle around Urza indicates that he's prone.

Female Gnome Cleric 4/ Rogue (burglar) 3

"Oh, there's a little room up there now," Douena notices, looking back at the space behind the altar. Dropping her light and sling again, she hops up lightly behind Makoa and touches him on the back. Male Human (Andoran) Fighter Lvl 5

This is ridiculous, Lorenz thinks as yet another of his arrows misses the scary serpent lady. There must be something in this fancy quiver worth using!

He reaches for another arrow as he moves closer, pulling out one of the set of two special arrows, focusing on steadying his aim rather than firing rapidly.

Move to B18.
Point Blank Shot on Yarzoth: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 = 23

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Yarzoth Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

"You are only delaying your inevitable deaths," Yarzoth hisses as Douena encourages Makoa. The snake woman reaches out and leaps up, opening herself up to attack from Makoa and Mahjik. She grabs the wings of the statue, and pulls herself up onto the base. She then wipes her hand across the wound in neck from where Makoa bit her and smears the blood across the lips of the statue. In the blink of an eye, her body seems to dissolve away into smoke and mist.

Next Up: AoO for Mahjik and Makoa, Lorenz, Makoa, Urza, Pezock, Mahjik, Douena.
Lorenz may revise his action if desired.

Map Updated
The yellow spots over the statue indicate the position of the mist.

Oops, forgot Mahjik's Fortitude save against the poison!

Mahjik Fortitude DC 19: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 -- fail

5 points of Str damage taken in total.

Aren't I glad that Mahjik has finesse...

Male Human (Andoran) Fighter Lvl 5

Lorenz will, indeed, revise his action. Though he also cries bitter tears in the night over the loss of a decent combat roll.

Lorenz watches with amazement as the snake lady disappears. "Cayden's breath," he murmurs. "We actually managed to drive her off!"

He'll still move to B18, one of the same arrows he'd chosen before nocked and ready to loose but that's all for now.

Fortitude vs poison 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Mahjik leans against the statue, heavily, looking up to where the serpent woman had dissipated. "She's got magic, she'll be healing herself or calling upon her god for other aid. We need to hurry."

With a grimace he adds, "Obviously the statue needs to be fed blood - perhaps serpent blood."

I'll presume that Makoa takes the AoO...

Makoa bite, Power Attack, raging: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 1 = 14

Makoa and Mahjik both go for Yarzoth when she momentarily turns her back to them, but even as she jumps onto the statue, she is too quick for them.

Lorenz moves forward with an arrow nocked, ready for Yarzoth to resolidify or some other threat.

Next Up: Makoa, Urza, Pezock, Mahjik, Douena, Yarzoth, Lorenz (subject to readied action).

Ha! My mistake, sorry about that.

Makoa manages to bite Yarzoth in the side as she jumps onto the statue. She screams as she she wipes her blood across the statue's lips.

Urza caster level check versus spell resistance: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 -- fail
Makoa Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 -- pass
Makoa Will reroll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 -- pass
Note: I completely forgot the spell resistance check when Makoa cast faerie fire on her earlier, and realized it a round or so later. I didn't want to go back and possibly change a whole round of events so just assumed Makoa succeeded. I also should point out, the mist still has the glow on it, making it pretty clear that the mist is still Yarzoth. :)

Urza sends out a spray of colour which envelops the top of the statue along with Makoa and the misty Yarzoth. Unfortunately, it has no effect on Yarzoth, and luckily, Makoa resists it. Urza stands up.

Urza:
Yarzoth didn't actually cast a spell. She seems to have activated a property of the statue. Its effects seem to match that of a gaseous form spell.

"How do we stop her like this?" Pezock asks. "Big Teeth, can you swallow her?" He delays.

ROUND 10

Active Effects:
Mage armour (Urza, Mahjik, Pezock)
Faerie fire (Yarzoth) -- will end on Makoa's turn in round 11
Unknown effect on Yarzoth
Probable gaseous form (Yarzoth)
Poison (Mahjik) -- needs two consecutive saves or final save will be in round 13; the save he made just above will count as a pass for this coming round's save on Yarzoth's turn.

Next Up: Mahjik, Douena, Yarzoth, Lorenz (subject to readied action), Makoa, Urza, Pezock (subject to delayed action).

Female Gnome Cleric 4/ Rogue (burglar) 3

"See?" Douena demands. "She is a snake-person-vampire. Vampires turn into mist. Is Mahjik the only one who got bit? We may have to cut his head off or put a stake through his heart or something."

Hop back over the blood to re-pick up her sling in -A 20: Acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

I assume that was a delay from Mahjik.

As Douena hops back over to her sling, the newly formed mist begins floating away from the statue and upwards. Watching it go, you see it reach the ceiling 25 ft above Mahjik. Now that they look, Makoa, Mahjik, Urza, and Pezock can see that there is a tiny hole in the ceiling there and the mist is quite clearly heading into it.

Mahjik Fortitude: Success! If he makes the next one, it will be over.

Either the board ate my post or I didn't hit submit.
Urza calls out. "She used the statue to become ghost-like. Weapons will be less effective, but we can still hurt her and there's little she can do to strike back at us."

Mahjik cocks his head doubtfully. "Really? ...guess I'll try it then..." He swings at the swirls of gas that he can reach; though to little effect.

Attack, flurry 2, power attack 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 1 = 7 damage 1d6 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) - 1 + 2 = 3

Lorenz wades through the blood and onto the dais, while Makoa smears blood over the statue's lips. Instantly, his body dissolves into a smoky mist.

Makoa is now gaseous and has all the traits given under the gaseous form spell. As it was only a standard action to smear the blood, he still has a move action left. He has a fly speed of 10, which is not enough to reach Yarzoth, but it can take him part of the way.
