”Sarenrae grants me some protection against such enchantments. That protection extends to those who stand close to me, albeit in a lesser form. It will only strengthen your own resolve, not make you immune. Magic to artificially befriend will not work on me. I enjoy no extra protection against magic that effects thoughts and implants ideas.”

Unable to take it anymore, Khaz bends down to address Kyson in his bonds, "Im so sorry it has to be this way, Kyson. I hope that there will be a way to make you better, and you will understand why we have to do this."
Her lavender eyes soften as she reaches out to brush the hair out of Kyson's eyes that he cannot do for himself just now.
"Try to remember that we are your friends, and we would never do something if we didn't think it was very very important."

As you near, a flying reptile with two huge wings and a distinctive backward-sweeping crest decorating its head suddenly swoops down out of nowhere. It bites at Linah, but can't penetrate her armor.

Khazmia quickly casts, a pair of scorching rays flying toward the dinosaur, though only one hits, a blast quickly followed by a shot from Sekathral's pistol. The thing begins to spiral into the water, but then suddenly disappears, blinking out of sight.
It was likely summoned.
Linah lands on the deck, splashing as her feet end up in a foot of water on the tilting deck. It's considered difficult terrain, with movement to the right on the map being considered uphill.
Zstelian avoids the water, staying five feet up as he looks around for any threat. As he nears the deck, he notices a creature standing in the stairway. It's humanoid from the torso up, but its lower body is serpentine, with a tail consisting of three powerful flukes, each ending in a cruel hook. Its taloned hands are webbed and its head is that of a horrible large-eyed fish with facial tentacles surrounding a pucker-like maw filled with tiny sharp teeth.
It casts and a bolt of lightning suddenly comes streaking down, slamming into Linah before it retreats down into the bowels of the ship. 7 pts. electrical damage; DC 16 Reflex save for half

Not able to take to the water like the others Linah moves into the cabin until the surface reaches her waist. She holds her scimitar just below the surface and looks for another way out of the cabin..

Khazmia wades into the depths and, trying not to let any water into her lungs, casts a spell, force missiles hissing through the water past Zstelian into the strange foe.
Linah wades into the water and notices a door behind the creature, which is opens and moves through as it releases Kayle, despite taking grevious wounds from Sekathral and Zstelian. It moves past the sea creature you saw earlier, which seems to pay it no attention, eyes fixed on the door.
