It staggers as it takes the flame fully in its face and roars in anger, stepping back again as it tears and bites at Vexras and Isabella. The former avoids the fangs again, but Isabella isn't so lucky, and it rips her flesh with its claws 24 damage total!.
Meanwhile, above, as Arryn slips away, the troll follows, calling out "Nashgra!," a call that brings another troll -- a woman wearing a bandolier of wooden wands and large gloves -- out onto the parapet. She looks over the scene below and pulls out a wand!

"Could use some healing, here," Isabella remarks without turning away from the teal-nosed troll.
If someone can top my hp up a bit before I engage teal again, I'd really appreciate it. ^^;

Garrivek Runebuckle |

Garrivek hears Aramis behind him and calls back. "You heal Isabella, I've got a big old ball of flame with their name on it!" Hearing Aramis give affirmation, she says she'll heal you, Isabella Garrivek hustles forward Up two spaces and diagonally up and left one space. His gloves turn red with heat. In the courtyard, Aramis heals Isabella and Vexras finishes off the troll, before everyone turns their attention to the trolls on the parapet. The wand-bearing troll easily avoids the worst of the fire, though the other one isn't so lucky.
The last of the original three trolls rushes down the stairs -- apparently not willing to leap from the heights -- and threatens Arryn as the other one pulls another wand and casts it, catching everyone but Aramis in a cloud of stinking vapor. The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target). In addition, anyone caught inside must make a DC Fort save or be nauseated. As she uses the wand, Arryn hits her with his own magic; it's not enough to disrupt her, but she does cry out in pain. Unfortunately for him, he also gets bitten by the troll, but he trusts his force ward to protect him 8 hp.

I’m not sure if that means the fog is thin enough to see, but if it is, he flings more junk at Wanda. Best to take her down and worry about regeneration later. Those are the abilities, but do you gain the elemental type? Not breathing, like their immunity to crits, is a function of the type.

Later versions of the spell specifically add the immunity to crits so I’m guessing not.

Aramis Ekerton |

Nope, I only get what it says. It's a polymorph spell; under the rules for polymorphs it specifies "A polymorph spell transforms your physical body to take on the shape of another creature. While these spells make you appear to be the creature, granting you a +10 bonus on Disguise skill checks, they do not grant you all of the abilities and powers of the creature." I'm an elemental, but not REALLY an elemental. I just get what the spell specifically grants me.

Vexras groans and shakes his head as he grunts away the last of the nausea. "I must admit, that was one of the most abhorrent odors I have ever had the misfortune of encountering." As its luster fades, he looks up and coos softly when Arryn holds up a number of wands. "Oh my, what have we here? This one has promise, I think. If none of you mind?" Breaking open the statue of the human woman with her arms outstretched, you discover a small cache of goods: a pouch of 150 gp, 30 days’ worth of rations, a disguise kit, 10 masterwork alchemical silver arrows, and a potion of gaseous form.
A search of the exterior barracks built into the walls reveals wooden interior walls and furniture have been smashed, leaving only cave-like stone rooms and a floor lined with straw, splinters, and stinking feces. Several large beds have been dug out through the floorboards and lined with ponchos and animal furs. A few odds and ends have survived, possibly because they were overlooked, including a set of masterwork sewing tools, a leatherbound book on Chelish history worth 150 gp, several bolts of fine cloth worth 300 gp all together, a mithral dagger, a pot of stone salve, a scroll of baleful polymorph, and two potions of delay poison. The southwestern barracks still contain maintenance supplies -- including hammers, lumber, nails, bolts of oilcloth, and two dozen pots of paint. Garrivek, poking around, notices a sealed jar of marvelous pigments stored in one of the paint pots.
In the room where the female troll emerged from, which appears to have once been a bedroom and office, seems to have been transformed into a comfortable den, straw and expensive bedding heaped together into a nest and lined with attractive pieces of shattered darkwood furniture. A skull still lies in the corner, now painted with arcane symbols. It does not radiate magic
The symbols appear to be fake, as if the artist wanted them to seem magical, but didn't really know what they were doing.
A hidden door built into the stone wall, which Cirieo mentioned, leads into the true treasure of Fort Nunder: the vault built into the Nunder Scarp. It appears locked, but your search of an old desk -- one of the few pieces of furniture left intact -- reveals a key that can open it.

Vexras Voltagian |

Vexras insists that Garrivek keep the wand and the pair descend into a brief argument of politeness as each continues to insist the other take the implement. After a few volleys, Vexras admits defeat and takes the wand with a humble nod, ”If you insist, my finely bearded friend.”

Later, as the troll matriarch’s chambers are searched, he takes up the skull in one hand. ”Alas, poor whatever your name might have been, we never knew you.” He frowns and tosses the skull to Garrivek, ”Don’t fret. These markings are just decorative. Whoever made them, if they were genuinely trying to put magical tunes upon a skull, did not have the slightest idea what they were doing. These are little more than colorful scribbles on a rather macabre canvas.”

FROM GARRIVEK:
Catching the skull, Garrivek shakes his head. ”Such a shame,” he remarks, turning the skill over in his hands. ”Poor fellow.” He places the skull down carefully, then searches through the rooms, shoving loot and salvage into his bags. ”Does anyone want some of these treasures? A few are quite handy.”
While the others sift through the gear he examines the door for traps or other defences…
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
When everyone’s ready and equipped, Garrivek pulls out the key from the desk and places it into the vault door.
FROM ARAMIS:
She shakes her head. ”I’ve got plenty.” She gestures at Isabella, Arryn, and Vexras. ”You should take what you like first.”
Since we can’t sign in right now and update our character sheets, we won’t take anything until we can. You should all help yourselves. We might take something that’s leftover down the line.
Aramis examines the door for a time, curious if it has any interesting markings. When it’s time to open the vault, she holds her handy wand of magic missile in hand.
FROM THE GM:
The door doesn't appear to be trapped as far as Garrivek can tell, a belief borne out by the lack of anything happening as you open it. A short east-west corridor leads to a larger one that runs north and south. Two iron plaques are mounted into the stone of the east wall, each three feet above the flagstone floor. The northern and southern halls both curve to the east.
The southern plaque reads, “A whirlwind of blows assures victory. —Dargrit Foehewer,” while the northern plaque reads “Strike safely, strike quietly. —Ekaterin Fletcher.”
