Put myself in the seating. As for the debt for Sam, Willaim volunteers at the school library and maybe he forgave some fines he saw as a legitimate reason to be forgiven.

Nick: Awhile back, Nick had the dumb idea for him to spike his hair up in a Mohawk and dye it purple. Matthew assisted him in this endeavor and kept a lock of hair. It was sort of instinctual for Nick, and sometimes Matt needs a test subject for a few spells and such he's been working on. Harmless of course.
Tyler:The usual. Kid gets drunk from a party, has a stupid idea to drive. Kid meets tree face first. School is having a whole campaign and using Tyler's death as example along with the mourning. Doesn't feel right though. Felt like he was running away from something.
Lisa has become more reclusive and less cheerful these days. Word is her mother past away and she is grieving.

Kai's craziest stunt was a rail grind down the mall steps and into the busy parking lot. He snagged a truck and rode it out. It was a pretty sick stunt, but he's never come to her directly. Carrie's seen the videos, but hasn't realized he has a crush.
Alexis's reaction to being called Allan depends on how they're doing it. If they seem genuinely forgetful, she's okay with reminding people. She can joke about it. If they are doing it on purpose, she goes full snark. She treats them like they are mentally challenged five-year-olds.
Patrick is new and a bit awkward and skittish. The cruelest thing going around about him is that he moved because he was raped by a football player back at his old school.
Sarah hasn't shown up because she was murdered. They haven't yet found her carefully-posed body.
We haven't even started and NPCs are already dropping like flies! How will any of us survive this! This is looking like the beginning of some supernatural teen drama on the CW! Oh wait, that last one's kind of the intended result...
Seriously though, a homeroom class of thirty and we're already down to twenty-eight, I'd hate to be an NPC in this school. Will we get a higher body count per episode than Hemlock Grove?

Never seen hemlock grove, but honestly, two dead at the start (actually, three) isn't a death sentance for everyone. I killed off tyler to see how this community acts towards death, and sarah is great fuel for the rumour mill.

I know, that was mostly joking. Hemlock Grove is basically just Monsterhearts on Netflix. It's pretty good. Really dark. Someone dies just about every episode.

Eric got his girlfriend of approximately 1 month, Kate, pregnant. Thing is, she's still deciding whether to get an abortion or even tell him. Poor guy doesn't even know.

Holly and Will met during freshman year, and they hit it off pretty well. It all turned sour when Will, ever the romantic, decided this friendship could evolve into a romance. It didn't. Though there's no bad blood between them, they don't really hang out any more from awkwardness.

so yes. Of my 3 gang members from start, Alice is one. Rachel the other. Thinking Rachel is a senior. Shes a tomboy. Hockey. Pretty. Rich. Alice is more of a shy girl. But her looks gives her popularity. Smart too. Very smart. Deviously smart.
Then there is Al. Its short for something. But he never tells anyone why. Or what for. Even the teachers calls him Al. Silent. He does what hes told. But those eyes. Those eyes tells her there is something more to him. He is so far the only boy from the 'jock' sqaud she managed to claim. Hes fast. And he does martial arts. Those two together make him quite a spectical when he is at the club
