Ok, we'll move things along tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!

Petra Gritstone |

Just wanted to say I've really been enjoying this game and the commitment of my fellow players and GM. I've tried several APs via PBP and so often we're lucky to get past level 1 before the party falls apart or the GM loses interest. So I appreciate that we've got a solid crew and a great GM, that we make steady progress, and that we're actually getting through the AP. :)
--also now that I've buttered you up ;), did we say something about doing PFS credit with this in discussion? If it's a serious headache for you, Bauers, don't worry about it, but I'm a PFS junkie and it's nice to be able to do a few more level-ups on my stable of twenty-three-some characters, haha.

Mirri Massadeq |

Agree with Petra RE: commitment to the game. I forget if it was for this PbP or not, but I've started recommending to GM's to vet applications when recruiting for new games by history of commitment to prior games. Some folks are good at putting together amazing PC concepts but not with the perseverance that a long PbP requires.

I'm up for PFS credit - although I have only the haziest idea of how it works. If you ever feel like explaining Petra please do! :D

GM Bauers |

I had lots of fun with PFS in the past. Got my skald to level 6 or 7. I'm just really into Ashes now and that takes up a lot of my time (if you're into MTG, you should check it out). Assuming PFS reporting hasn't changed much over the last year, I should be able to report it.
Had a super busy weekend, but I'll keep things moving tomorrow and look into PFS stuff this week.
And thank you guys for sticking with us! I'm excited about book 2. In 3 weeks I'm done with school until August, so I can probably pick up the pace more then.

Suhweet. The Book 1 Chronicle sheets are available here, if you look for the little text that says 'free download.' Since you can run in campaign mode the rules aren't annoying, but let me know if you have any questions. The reporting interface DID change recently, but if you have any problems with it I can always report the game with you as the GM for it (i.e., GMs don't need to be the ones to report it).
Say'ri- basically, most APs have some content that is 'sanctioned' for PFS play. You can play through the campaign (so-called "campaign mode") using whatever homerules you want (i.e., the game does not need to follow Pathfinder Society rules or use your Pathfinder Society characters), and then at certain points, usually after completing the various books of an AP, you can choose to assign the chronicle sheet for that AP to one of your PFS characters that is of the appropriate level range for the AP in question.
The chronicle sheet for book 1 of Mummy's Mask, for instance, would give 3 XP and 4 Prestige to any level 1 or level 2 Pathfinder Society character-- the equivalent of a full level up. So I can choose to apply the chronicle sheet to, idk, my level 2 PFS summoner I have sitting around as a concept right now, and boom, he is now level 3.
Aside from getting the XP, the chronicle sheet usually also has various boons available that can then be used by the PFS character you apply the sheet to, in PFS play.
Make sense?
---
If you're down to report, Bauers, I think I will stick that credit on my summoner, so that'd be PFS #30341-22 (or let me know if you want me to report, I don't mind, I've got like two to three games to report every week, haha). If anyone else wants the PFS credit and you have a PFS number, that will help the reporting. I can also PDF up the chronicle sheets individually to make it simpler for you, Bauers.
---
Skalds are a fun class! Very effective buffers in a melee-heavy party. I don't play Magic as I have some vague interest in keeping my money-flow positive, alas. ;)

So I take this chronicle sheet and apply it one of my many PFS characters (which I kept making before I knew the difference between them and aliases... :/) so that, should I ever play an actual PFS game, I can play them as a lvl 2 Cavalier (for example) rather than a level 1 one?
And if we get through book 2 then I can probably have a level 3-4?
If I do that do I have to never use the character here on the boards for risk of restats and messing things up? I.e. could I play Say-ri in an IRL game as a 'proper level 2 PFS fighter' and still use her in this game as she is now? Or do I need to give it to Sarianna, or one of my other currently unoccupied aliases?

GM Bauers |

@dien, if you want to report it, that'd be awesome! My GM number is: 100025
Just let me know what else I need to do (if I need to sign chronicle sheets or anything).
Maybe I'll get back into PFS this summer. Hmm...

dien RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16 |

Mirri: Do you have a PFS number, and do you have a level 1 or 2 character with that specific number? (I.e., the 'dash' number)
Say'ri: Haha I hear ya on having made a whole bunch of PFS registereds, woops. And yes, you can stick it on a level 1 PFS cav and boom, now they are level 2, and you can play them. And that character can be functionally identical to level 1 (or 2) Say'ri if you like, in everything*, including name, but still counts as a separate character than "our" Say'ri, so won't impact your ability to play Say'ri at all in our campaign.
(*Well, except for loot gained, etc. You get the gold listed on the chronicle sheet, and access to the items on the sheet to buy them, but you don't get to just automatically own anything we found in Mummy's Mask.)
Bauers, do you know what number that'll be? Dash-two maybe, if your skald is your only other PFS character? And yeah, I'll get sheets done up later today and dropbox them to you or something so you can sign them.

GM Bauers |

I think it would actually be number 5 or 6. Let's say 6. Thanks!

dien RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16 |

Bauers, here's the chronicle sheets, which you'll need to initial and sign appropriately (in PBP lots of GMs just type their name where it's for signature), and then they're good to go for everyone.
Don't worry about it not being your 'real names' or whatever for the player field, as long as the PFS# field is correct that's all that will really matter. :P
I'll wait to log until that's all sorted/to give Ibrahim a chance in if he wants.

Mirri Massadeq |

Regarding the wands, I was hoping to have Mirri hold onto the Scorching Ray wand, as it would give her an SA-eligible ray attack. She has ranks in UMD and her sling is really pretty useless.

GM Bauers |

I should be able to do chronicle sheets tonight. If Ibrahim doesn't take a move by them, I'll bot him.

GM Bauers |

Happy 4th, everyone! The huecuva is still alive and Ibrahim killed one of the zombies. Just waiting on Petra's action (no rush, it's s holiday and all)

GM Bauers |

Heads up, I'm on vacation for a few days. I should be able to keep up with the RP when I get some moments, but I won't be able to do anything that requires the book or computer. So feel free to talk things out and consider your next course of action!

Hi everyone, this is going to be my last post for a while as I’m going to Italy to get married! I’ll be back around the 16th August, please bot as necessary to keep things going! :)

GM Bauers |

Congratulations! Seconding gelato.
I will try to update tonight. Heads up that me and Ibrahim are going to gencon the 16th, so we'll have a little break around when Say'ri returns.
Dien, is there a way to change the number that credit was assigned to? Because now Kara is #6 (because of my character creation snafu), so id need this credit to be assigned to number 5). Is that doable?

GM Bauers |

Congratulations! Take your time, though. Me and Ibrahim are headed to gencon tomorrow, so the game will be paused for a few days

GM Bauers |

Apologies for the delay! I'll try to get us back online this week.

Hey Everyone
I'm starting a Ruins of Azlant game here on the boards.
http://paizo.com/campaigns/TheRuinsOfAnEmpire/recruiting#1 if you're interested - would be great to have some of you along!

One good thing about doing a complete re-read of the game - I just found a bunch of loot we've missed. Loot tracker updated! :D

Petra Gritstone |

I may not get a chance to post again until Monday, going on a short camping trip. I might be able to before then, but if you wind up waiting on me, feel free to bot.

GM Bauers |

Hey guys, first let me apologize for my absence. I didn't mean to leave you hanging, I've just been super busy at work and home and I can never find the time to update. I feel like I can't do it justice right now, so I think I have to regrettably put the game on hold. I really appreciate the time and effort you've all put into this game, and I hope when I have more availability we can pick this back up. But I don't want to keep people coming back looking for updates. Sorry again and I hope you all understand!

Bummer, this is a good group with regular posters. Appreciate you letting us know though GM. I'm going to stop checking this page, but if things pick back up shoot me a PM.

Aww... been really loving the game with all you guys! Much like Mirri I'll put this game in my 'look-at-occasionally' pile. Please do PM if you can come back Bauers - we'll be glad to see you if you can!
