Anga peers up the tunnel and fires an Acid Arrow, and though this creature secretes an acid itself, it is not immune to acid attacks. The slimy substance becomes inert and begins to quickly dry out.

Ragnir steps through the now dead mass of goo, and slashes bits and pieces off the second slippery slimy mass.

The slippery slimy mass tries to envelope the well-armored Warpriest, but can't adhere to the Dwarf's Righteous Half-Plate.

Slime 2 slam on Ragnir: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 151d6 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + (5) = 14

Anga sloshes along the tunnel, and targets the next ooze. A green dart spits out of the wand.

acid arrow: 1d20 + 6 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 6 - 4 - 4 = 2 sigh cover and in combat
But the dart strikes the roof, eating away at the rock.

Ragnir plows forward still swinging his weapon, "Get out o' me way, ye quivering block o' goo! Seeing the arrow from Anga deliver its acid, Ragnir calls on Torag again, and draws forth the strength of the mountains again to add acid to his weapon's blows.

if the axe breaks, he'll drop the axe and shield and use the dwarven longhammer from range, damage below. AC drops to 19

Round Four

With pain in her heart, Leira drops the Hopeknife and draws her shortbow. She divides the nearly invisible substance.

Anga fires another Acid Arrow at the blob. The arrow of acid, instead, helps to shiny up the stone in a spot.

Ragnir further divides the the final slithering slimy creature. It stops moving and begins to dry out.

Victory!

Again, the tunnel leads to a chamber three feet deep in a filthy cesspool. The water from the pool slowly seeps into the four-foot wide tunnel. A skeleton slumps awkwardly against the wall, halfsubmerged in the cesspool. Its twisted neck and smashed skull hint at its demise. Ten feet up at the center of the ceiling in a shaft up to a narrow hole. Leira can see a leather boot stuck in a crack in the stone up in the shaft. Ragnir is able to look up into the room; and will determine that the hole above is likely a latrine on the upper level of the Fort.

Leira would have had to cross the cesspool in order to escape the slimy creature. She must make a DC12 Fort Save. Anyone else crossing the cesspool will need to do the same.

I forgot about your summons. Let's say you elected to not bring it in with the tight tunnel. Since Haskyll never identified what was being summoned, this makes sense. You still have the spell.

Edit: In the future, go ahead and tell me what you plan to summon. I can put a token on the map. This may help me to remember that your Summoned Monsters have actions.

Haskyll will not see any other way from this location. There are a number of other ways into the Fort. The front barbican could make for a fun time. It is a good thing you can't see my malevolent grin.

Haskyll does need to make a Fort Save.

Kaos will spot the Hopeknife and pick it up.

Leira looks at the whole then endures her face "You know, those orcs killed my father, my mother and my grandmother. They sieged Trunau. If burning them in their houses requires me to get some filth in my skin, then I say... Go there and if some of them are s&~~ting all the better the opportunity to break their filthy asses!"

She then lets herself after Kaos in a fury and through the whole to the other side.

Leira takes the hopeknife from Kaos knife without avoiding the contact of her hand with the proven warrior "Thanks Kaos. This means plenty to me"

"We can perhaps go north into this room drawn with beds. If we cover all you with some hood we might perhaps pass unnoticed while we cross the battlements, then take any orc still sleeping and start decimating the fort without raising a general alarm" she looks at the dwarfs hopping killing orcs convince them for a prudent approach.


Haskyll is unaffected by the cesspool. Leira on the otherhand...

Leira does not see any traps. With her Spider Climbing ability, she can easily climb the rough hewn stone walls and up through the whole in the ceiling.

"Sure!" the orc-disguised girl climbs up, and upon making sure there is no menace she locates a robust placement for the hook and sets it. "Ok, it is clear" she whispers through her message spell connection.

Leira climbs up past the worn leather boot wedged in the rough hewn stone shaft that leads to the cesspool below. She finds no traps along the shaft or in the room; and is able to secure the grappling hook and rope to make the climb for the rest of the party easier.

Alternating tiles of pale blue and white, several of which are cracked or missing, cover the walls and floor of this circular chamber. It looks like a loo. At present, no one is using the loo. There is a closed door. (Upper Level Room 30)

Kaos shimmies up the rope. Ulfgard struggles making the climb.

With the rope it is now a DC5 Climb check.

Remember, everyone needs to make a DC12 Fort Save coming into the fort via the cesspool.

Leira nods to Kaos "Ok, make sure you shroud your faces with the hood or something, so they cannot tell who are we from afar"

She then opens the door and checks if there is anyone. If the corridor is clean, Leira whispers for the others to come and opens the door to the north entering the battlements. She checks if someone is looking, and whispers through the message connection for the group to move ahead when any guard is distracted and not looking in that direction.

She leads the group to the north, into the room marked in the map with beds.

Anga and Ragnir wade through the cesspool. Anga easily climbs the rope. Ragnir struggles, but makes it up as well.

Leira opens the door and sees that the corridor is clear. She heads to the north door and opens it. It was a good thing this door wasn't trapped. The door leads to the battlements noted on the map. It too is clear. The Rogue Arcanist is briefly distracted by the commotion going into the ward below. Four ogres are tormenting an orc. The ogres are in the process of tearing the arms off their plaything amid horrible screams and rowdy laughter. It is quite a sight.

Leira acts normally, as it would do an orc with right to be there, but whispers to hold on through message.

If possible she hides behind some column on the northern tower. The door hole perhaps.
Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

She opens the northern door, unless the ogres turn aggressive. Once the place is calm and the ogre once again turns to beat the orc Leira whispers "Now!"


The tortured Orc screams again. The one Ogre that noticed movement on the battlements, looks back toward its plaything. When it looks back toward the battlements, he does not notice Leira.

Whew! That was close.

Leira opens the northern door to see several decrepit bunks rotting in this neglected room. The tracks of numerous footprints have cleared a visible path between the room’s three doors in the thick layer of dust coating the floor. There is nothing else in the room, except the two other doors.
