Haskyll Blesses the party.

Round Three

Grenseldek steps back, drawing out another Handaxe, and cuts into Ulfgard.

Anga targets the second Giant Orc with a pair of Scorching Rays. Both rays burns the big female Orc. She screams out in pain.

Ragnir will likely do something.

Leira gains a little height and launches a pair of arrows at the last standing Dire Wolf. The first arrow fits solidly, followed by the second arrow. The Dire Wolf dies on the oversized bed.

Ulfgard takes a step up and clobbers Grenseldek with Agrimmosh. The second strike glances off the Hill Giantess' armor.

With the second Dire Wolf dead, Kaos charges the last Giant Orc. The ferocious Giant Orc takes a swing at the puny Human, but its greataxe is deflected by Kaos' invisible shield. The Blessed human hacks with his own oversized Greataxe, killing the big female Orc.

Ingrahild drops her offhand axe, uses a two hand grip on her Dwarven Waraxe and goes after the Giant Orc. But when Kaos drops it, she stops opposite the table from Grenseldek.

Ragnir insults the Giantess, then misses with his Waraxe.

Ulfgard gets a late Hasted pounding in on Grenseldek.

Haskyll asks for and provides the Dwarf Warpriest the additional strength of a bull.

Round Four

Grenseldek becomes determined to get Agrimmosh, ignoring Ragnir's taunts. The Hill Giantess cuts into Ulfgard.

Anga burns Grenseldek with a pair of Scorching Rays. Grenseldek screams in pain.

Ragnir's attacks miss the big ugly Hill Giantess.

Leira climbs another five feet up the wall. Her first arrow misses Grenseldek, but her second arrow does not.

Ulfgard then gets all Agrimmoshi on the Hill Giant Chieftess, pounding with quick and punishing strikes on one ugly female.

Grenseldek is killed by the overall combination of arrow, rays, and hammer. She tumbles over with a loud thud, knocking over the round table. The geode goes flying and gently lands on the bed next to a dead Dire Wolf.

She descends from the wall and looks through the room with detect magic.

Leira will find on the Giant Orcs, two potions of cure serious wounds, a potion of haste, two potions of aid, two thunderstones, two sets of +1 studded leather, two mwk greataxes, four throwing axes, and 96 gp.

On Grenseldek, she finds a potion of cure serious wounds, a suit of giant sized +1 scale mail, a +2 handaxe, a mwk handaxe, a mwk composite longbow (+9 Str) standing in the corner, and a quiver with 20 arrows.

Behind the broken wall is a dust filled alcove. Cobwebs are everywhere. And hundreds of small harmless spider fill this space. The observant Leira finds a curious skull. When Ingrahild sees the skull she begins to weep.

Then there is the geode, remarkably similar to the geode found with Agrimmosh.

After helping pack the found objects and observing Ingrahild's reaction Leira taps her back understanding. She let her weep, knowledgeable of the toll the war against the orcs and the giants is bringing to the civilized races of the valley.

"It is time to end the job. We all have seen the structure of the fort, if we break the dikes to the river the orcish tribe will be done forever" says the girl in a stern tone strange for her age. She still holds Ingrahild by the back.

Ragnir wipes at his eyes, Durned wolves be stinkin' s'much that me eyes are waterin' He turns towards the door with a choked back word, and as he leaves the room says, "I'm needin' t'get out a here.


@Ragnir, unless I missed something you accidentally did two Round Four post. Your Round Three included Round Four (Monday post). If it had gone to Round Five, I would have used your Wednesday post for that.

Kaos, and Leira too, would detect a slight magic aura on the skull.

Does anyone know what to do with this it's cursed? Should we just throw it at the enemy and watch that break down in tears or can we get rid of the curse?

I have a feeling this is not over. I will take the throwing axes and the bow unless someone else can use them. I suggest we give people the magic item now so they can be used.
Smashing it? Is that a good idea couldn't it exploded or something?


The despair doesn't leave Ragnir or Ingrahild. Ingrahild tries to shatter the skull with her Dwarven Waraxe. But her blow was deflected as if by an outside force.

Ragnir and Ingrahild keep the -2 penalties until you can find a way to break the curse.
