The men attacking your shield wall realize their ambush has failed and turn to retreat. They all run (160 ft per round for 3 rounds) toward Skjoldmur. You have lost only 3 men.You also have the three people who surrendered as prisoners.

Olaf Snow |

Did any of them provoke as they blindly moved through my threatened reach. Also are those men coming out of the water heading towards Skjoldmur or appear to be fighting on?Also is Skjoldmur 430 feet away?

"Komm and fight you damn'ed hrafnasueltir! (Raven-starvers/cowards) Let my beard drip red with your thin blod!"
The big skald swings viciously hoping to bring a retreating beserk down;

As he completes his butchery Hálvr eyes the battlements of the fortress ahead; scanning for any banners or shield markings that may catch his eye as worthy foes;
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Knowledge: Nobility (Bildt): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

GM Calvus |

Halvr you notice the fort and even that the men who are retreating seem to be getting the doors open for them. Now is the time to run to make it. In addition the fortress seems to be empty of any noticeable flag, which is cause for concern.
Alfred your bow twangs and an arrow pierces a retreating enemy in the thigh, but he doesn't seem to notice.

Hiiram Melech |

How far is the fort? Can I reach it with Send Senses (100 ft range)?

Olaf Snow |

Olaf finishes his spell and jumps on his newly formed horse. "C'mon boys, no time to waste. I'll keep the gate open!"
Ride;fast mount : 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 1 = 24
He then rides the entire round on his running horse towards the gate. Horses have run, so 5*50 feet, 250 feet

GM Calvus |

It is exactly 250 feet away at this point.
Olaf, you get there and find yourself in the middle of a group of 45 people. They are definitely different from the other men you fought, and you know you have fought people with similar skill sets. They are surprised at your sudden arrival.
You have a surprise round to act.The ones who fled are now behind you Olaf, a round from catching up.
The men you are allied with also run after the cowards, so they are only 6 seconds behind the ambush party.
This is going better than I thought. Olaf You know these men are significantly weaker and should pose no threat if they were in smaller numbers.

Olaf Snow |

Olaf smiles "Today is a good day to die." He plunges his blade into the first target he sees.

Aubheroene |

With forces retreating from them, Aubheroene (Ō-vər-ōn) follows the crew to the fort. It's his first mass battle and keeps going without thinking too much. With humans fleeing from blades, there doesn't seem to be much need for magic.
Mage Armor 10? round of 4 hours

Hiiram Melech |

Hiiram bolts out after the others, worried about getting left behind. "This ain't my style!" he complains as he rushes towards the fort.
Double move action (60 ft.) for as many rounds as it takes to get to the fort.

J'Larky |

J'Larky continues to follow the group, but as his life is in no immediate danger, he sees no reason to run. As he gets closer he uses Ghost sound to distract the enemy, and telekinetic Fist a couple of times to distract those same soldiers from making telling blows.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Telekinetic Fist
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Telekinetic Fist.

Aubheroene keeps up with the raiders saving his magic for the right moment.
Honestly, I'm quite lost in this battle but think conserving resources seems like a fair strategy. Happy new year.
