Here's our discussion thread. Let's start talking about character advancement and integration into the campaign. Gameplay questions, inventory, etc can go here.
The Campaign site is here.

            Thank you for choosing me!
I've still got to finalize the character sheet. As it stands, I'm a Fighter (Brawler, Gladiator) 3 / Stone Oracle 1, with the full expectation of going up as a Stone Oracle from here on out. One thing I haven't chosen yet is equipment.
So... are you all happy with a Fighter/Oracle, or are you looking for more Oracle? Also, how should I choose equipment?

            Welcome InVino.
I'm leaving that selection up to you entirely. Put your character together in a way that makes you happiest.
From the perspective of your background...

That background looks perfect! I'm keeping the Ftr3/Ora1. My only question is about how I should choose equipment.
Based on the events in the last chapter, he wouldn't have been involved, since he was involved directly in prize-fighting himself. My only concern is whether the PCs would want someone involved with Boss Croat and Clegg Zincher to join them. Now, since his recent rebirth, Gabbro doesn't see himself as belonging to any faction anymore, but as the chosen champion to the prize-fighters who perished in the strike...not that he has any clue what that means, or why he was chosen.
Boss Croat probably brought Gabbro into Riddleport in the first place. His rough, terrifying demeanor made him the perfect candidate to shake up Clegg's stranglehold on prize-fighting. However, when it became time for the two groups to work together, they did, and Clegg was willing to let Gabbro join in the games--but he couldn't join in operations--too much chance for him not to be loyal. So they sidelined him to the games, and thought about getting rid of him.
But something had other ideas.

            One more question:
Are you interested in using the Performace Combat rules from Ultimate Combat? I've been looking them over and thinking about them, and although they're interesting, it just seems to be extra complexity for the sake of complexity. If you would rather not use them, let me know and I'll design accordingly.
Most of the character won't change in either case; he'll still be a scizore-wielding-prize-fighter-turned-stone-oracle.

I haven't read the performance combat stuff yet, so I'm ok ruling them out or in based solely on your reaction to them. Your character sheet has already sent me to the bookshelf! :)
I have the same opinion of the addiction rules I cited earlier for Dorian (though I have read those). If you'd rather RP these things, I'm happy.
Gabbro has invested in background and abilities enough to justify killing with a flourish from time to time - particularly when the rolls agree. A half orc with a 17 charisma! You take your intimidating dance seriously.
On the subject of equipment, you're entitled to 6,000 gp worth of equipment as a 4th level character. I'm not stripping any of the old characters of their possessions due to the calamities, so I'm not inclined to punish Gabbro either. One thing occured to me in looking at your character is that a magical scizore is likely hard to come by :/

Chris, the armor is still yours, though the Gasworks was heavily damaged by the flood. We'll work it into the intro to the next adventure. Your movement should be 30' and your Armor Check Penalty should be -2 (that's the mithral's effect). Armor bonus to AC should be 7 (that's the +1 effect).

Cool. I put the armor in the sheet and it calculated everything for me. I had to manually change the movement back to 30'. I had to call it a +1 instead of MW to get the +7 bonus instead of +6. It said my Armor Check should be -3 however. I had to actually edit the formula to get this to -2. Make sure those values are correct before I forget how to get it all back. :) Sheet is so dang complicated.

I've rejiggered the feats and removed the Gladiator archetype. I get access to heavy armor again, and change out the performance combat feats for Power Attack and Gory Finish (make a free Dazzling Display when you send an opponent to the negatives).
It turns out I really like the scizore for a haunted oracle! +10 vs. disarm, +1 AC when I'm casting instead of fighting. Much more thematic than a weapon cord! It also prevents the rules from screeching when a haunted oracle drops a weapon corded item. So, yes, I'm well aware that magic scizores are horrendously rare. If it gets to that point, I might just take Craft Arms & Armor and make the magic scizore myself, if that will work for you.
I love the +3 class bonus to Perform(Dance), but I might not care. It matches the theme quite well.

Of course crafting is fine. And if you're in an urban environment I think you should be able to get just about anything. I just mean rare among the things you're likely to lift off a defeated enemy.
I'm starting to think our mad scientist isn't showing.

So we'll move on without Dorian. I think we stick with 4 for now if everyone's comfy with it. You have 2 henchmen after all. I'll try to finish up the opening post and get us kicked off.
I think we either make you allies by necessity somehow immediately after the disasters, or your relationship with your previous patron sours somehow.
How active is the voice of the Oracle's mystery? Are you driven by that inspiration to join them somehow?

Chose equipment. Might choose new avatar based on shiny, silvery spiked armor.
How about this? After emerging from his erstwhile tomb, he, driven by the voices of the unfortunate, realizes that he can no longer side with either Boss Croat or Clegg Zincher. The audience calls out for revenge against them, and follows him onward to destiny. He feels the need to do what he can for his new audience.

Gabbro looks like a melee combat terror. :)
We're kicked off on the main thread.

I do it level-by-level. Assuming favored class of fighter, your first three levels would have entitled you to one bonus point each - did you spend these as skill points or hit points? If as hit points:
10 (1st HD max) + 8 (CON 4 times) + 3 (3 levels of favored class) + 2d10 (HD for level 2 & 3 of fighter) + d8 (HD for level 1 of Oracle).
(This also assumes CON has been 14 all along, and was not the ability you bumped at 4th).
As an aside, I'm an honor system kind of guy. The dice are part of the appeal of the game to me. You can feel free to use the online rollers or whatever.

By the way people, just to warn you...Brenin is now able to cast spells, one a day to be precise. For those who have never had the unfortunate experience to be at the table with a spell casting character of mine, all I can say is stay back. For my first hat trick, I've went with Entangle. Can't wait to find myself rooted firmly to the ground and surrounded by the enemy.

Happy birthday Andy. You beat the Florida crew to the 40 mark by a couple of months (well, except Melissa, she's a spring chicken).
We're actually meeting Chris at his house today - first meet up in person in a very long time. No Pathfinder today, but we do have several years of table-talk to catch up on!

Nice. I had to play with it myself before we put in the mail. :) Great gift to pass on, assuming she didn't break down and use the hammer option to open it. Kayla did well. iPod Touch. She's barely spoken a word since.

My apologies for the interruption in service. The boy child turned 9 and the party is now past. It was soccer team meets drum circle party. The neighborhood has something new to talk about.
I've done some maps this morning. Post is forthcoming. Get yer dice out.

Hey ladies and gents. I'm suspending us - right in the middle of combat! Hopefully just for an intermission. Between Gabbro's absence and the need for three of us to pack for and take a vacation, post rate would be unbearable.
I have the state of the combat preserved. We'll pick up discussion here when we return some time after 4/2 and figure out how to move forward.

Gabbro, it's been a long while (3/14) since we heard from you. Give us a post if you're still in the game. Otherwise, Chris has agreed to pick up duties for this character.
I'll move us along tomorrow evening.

Haunted. We played with this a little bit in the character's opening posts. The fact that you can do 0-level spells at will gives you alot of leeway to make odd things happen in your posts. Mage Hand, light, ghost sound, etc. Plus the haunted curse effect.
I don't think InVino has posted here under any alias since around March 10. Hopefully our gaming partner is upright out there somewhere.

Ladies and Gent, I'm suspending the game for now on account of workload and mental exhaustion. This game has been alot of fun for a long time and I want to thank all my players, who also happen to be all my best friends. I'm very sure that we will roll again together soon in one form or another. :)
