Sounds like a plan. Let's stock up on fire and acid.
Orin, I'm giving you a gold bracelet to wear before we leave. It's a focus for my sacred bond spell.

Sorry, guys, I'm hitting peak Superstar/real life craziness right now. I'm trying to finish up my encounter's first draft before Tuesday, but I've also got my folks visiting all weekend and a Super Bowl party I have to go to (at least that one's with my gaming group, so I can multitask!). I'm still going to try to keep posting but there may definitely be a lull.
Orin Ro
Can everyone PLEASE look over the loot list and let me know who wants what. Whatever is unclaimed by Monday or Tuesday I'm going to sell off.
Orin Ro
Prazil should get the ring. Orin already has a quasi sneak attack usable in his favored terrain or against his favored enemies.
Prazil
I don't know how often the ring will get used by Prazil and I'd be fine with selling it if no one else wants it. You'll have lots more opportunities to flank with your cat, Orin. You sure you don't want to be able to pump your sneak attack by an exta 1d6 twice a day?
And as far as the rest of the gear is concerned, it's not small so it's no real use to Prazil anyhow.
Orin Ro
Okay, I've gone ahead and started divvying up the magic items and selling off the unwanted loot.
Agnar-Scroll of Sound Burst, Pearl of Power (2nd level)
Patrick has stated that Treshiell already has a 1st level Pearl, so the 2nd level one goes to Agnar.
Kereek-Potion of Cure Light Wounds
Orin-+1 arrows x20, caltrops
Prazil-Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds
Treshiell-Scroll of Scare
Although both Kereek and Treshiell can use this, it seemed more her "thing" than Kereek's.
Sold: +1 buckler, +1 chain shirt, +1 rapier, Potion of Undetectable Alignment x3, Ring of Swarming Stabs, Short bow, masterwork
Everyone gets 1228 gp's and 5 sp's from the sale of the loot.
Orin Ro
Okay, before we head out Orin is going to send the warhammer from the warlord's tomb to Restov along with some of his own cash to sell it and have a +1 fey bane cold iron falchion created.
Anyone have any objections?
Prazil
Orin Ro
Well, never mind then. If I had remembered that I would have done this months ago.
That's one of the rule changes I keep forgetting about. We've house ruled that out in my RL campaign.
Alrighty, then. Orin will send the warhammer north and everyone gets 156 gp's and 2 sp's from the difference.

Before we can annex Tatzlford we need to annex the hexes between us and them. I can't check the map right now because it appears flickr is down right now.
Orin Ro
If we are going to spend another month in town Orin is also going to get his bow magicked as well.
I've been scrimping and saving for months now to get the sword made, now that I don't have to spend the money for the cold iron part of it I've got money to burn.
And with that Orin will give up the magic arrows to anyone who doesn't have a magic bow.
Orin Ro
But how come I'm the one he's always trying to pimp out? I should at least get a cut of the action.

Hey guys, we're starting to near the end of Book 2 and I wanted to see where everyone's heads were at. I feel like we're slowing down a little bit. I realize that includes me, but I really tend to feed off posting rates, I think -- some of you can attest that I post more frequently in my other games, for example.
I think part of it is it's such a sandbox, which I've come to realize is not really optimal for PBP, but I don't know if that's the only thing slowing us down.
I'm wondering if there's a way to speed up some of the sandboxy elements of the AP, or if that really loses most of its charm.
Orin Ro
Sorry about the slow posting recently, Mott. Been busy this week trying to get hings done before I go on vacation with my wife and daughter for spring break. I'll get a post up soon and if need be go ahead and 'bot me while I'm gone next week.

Re: Sandboxes
I've enjoyed the reactivity we've seen so far, our encounters with Grigori and our impromptu visit to Hargulka's castle chiefest among them. I don't think that's a kind of dynamism we'd see in a different AP like Curse of the Crimson Throne or Council of Thieves, for instance. It seems to me that we slow down more when it's time to explore some hexes, as any direction is as good as another for the most part. Maybe if we just picked a general goal (i.e. let's explore all the hexes north of Thronehold) and then just assumed we'd approach it in the most efficient way possible in terms of travel, that might speed things up perhaps?
I know I get jazzed and into it whenever we have an encounter or event in any of the hexes.
The only part of the AP I'm not super keen on is the kingdom building aspect. It strikes me as just more bookkeeping, which I already don't really care for. I think it's a cool system and I sincerely hope others are enjoying it, but if it were only me playing, that's the part I'd most want to hand wave past.
Kereek!
I agree with Prazil. I like the kingdom building so long as it doesn't take away from the gaming parts, which we've managed so far! I think perhaps us having a set plan, for example "We're going to explore West of the city" would speed up the hexploration.
But other than that? I'm having a ball! I do love my little kobold and have a lot of fun with him.
