Zathan raises the chain shirt and inspects it for a moment before working his way inside. He then hefts the shield, affixes it to his arm, and swings it around a bit, feeling its weight. He then picks up the slender spear in his other hand and practices swinging it around and thrusting it a couple of times. It is a bit awkward using such a long weapon one-handed, but he decides that it will suit his needs.

Brayden kneels down at the pile of equipment that has been arranged for him. He draws the sword from its scabbard and carefully inspects the weapon, from pommel to blade tip, checking its balance, weight, speed, and edge. Satisfied, he resheathes it then runs the morningstar through a similar, if a bit simpler, process. Comfortable with his arms, he traces his fingers across the leather scales and pauldrons of his armor. "This will do nicely, I think..." he mutters out loud, though to no apparent target. Donning the armor, he hangs the sword sheath as a baldric across his back, from right shoulder to left hip, with his morningstar tucked into its straps as well. On his right hip, Brayden secures the the hand axe and dagger he had acquired the day before.
Then he pauses. Looking at the empty space before him, then across at the possessions of his companions, he sees a problem. No ranged weapons.
"Pardon me, General, but if we are to seize these shipments in transit, would it not be wise to grant us some ranged weapons that would allow us to bring the fight to our targets as we are closing to melee combat?'

Runt is still not totally giving up on her idea that this might be heaven, but just in case it's not, she plays along.
"So... do you have a plan or are we, and when I say we, I mean the unit leaders, supposed to come up with one? Do we have any info on the shipment such as who, what, when, and where? Or should I just shut up and listen. I can be good at that if I need to."
Impressive team.

General shares the following information with the group. The people transporting the goods are local bandits, possibly Wolves. They will be passing through the forest, a 1 day trip away, in about... 1 day. Little is known about their defences. The Blaze unit is to draw the guards out to the front of the transport, with the help of the Fire unit, while the Inferno unit is to sneak in and secure the goods.

Brayden looks about their unit, then to the General, a little perplexed. Finally, he clears his throat. "Sir, if the three units are to launch a unified attack on the same target, would it perhaps make more sense for us to plan the assault together, so we could act in unison and have a better chance of success?"

Runt PbP |

Sure, if you cared whether your troops survived and just watned to slaughter the enemy. If your objective were to steal an artifact, however, this plan is better. The man is a bit slow, or trusting, I guess.
