"Well I guess we know what happened to Nox." Flynt draws his bow and scans the surroundings. Perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
"Wait where's his? They dragged her off somewhere that way." He points. "Well you're a healer right? You might have a new patient if we're lucky, doc."Initiative? Cuz I'm gonna start firing.
After confirming that Pharnox and the others were indeed dead Jin wraps his body with whatever happens to be on hand and carries the deceased elf to the carriage.
"As much as we all hated him, even he didn't deserve this. But I guess it's not a surprise." Flynt shakes his head and helps with the body and/or his stuff.
Well.....that certainly was surprising to wake up to. I guess I have a bunch of stuff to write down now. Is the horse still alive? If so...I guess we have another mode of transportation.
Taking in all the carnage, it would appear that parts of her nightmares were coming true. It was true, like the others she hadn't really cared for Nox....but, she couldn't condone what was done to him.
With a dark look in her eye she turns to the others, her fists clenched at her side. "I agree, they didn't deserve this and we are gonna make those sons of b%+@!es pay."
Since it's a holiday and all, are we gonna wait on the following bit? More people might be around tomorrow, and I don't wanna make any major decisions without the majority of the party around. Just thought I'd ask to see what everyone else's opinion was.
Christophe shakes at the sight of the scene, even though he was detached from those involved. "Such senseless death..."
He moves to the side and retches. No matter the circumstances, Chris had no taste for brutal death. Things like this were what he strove to avoid. C'est la vie.
He wipes his mouth on his sleeve and rejoins the others. "I can take the wagon once we're done here. If there's someone who needs help, let's get to it."
He takes a scrap of clothing from one the dead assailants and passes it under Renard's nose.
Flynt, Christophe, and anyone else that comes along:
Between Flynt and Christophe's fox, you managed to follow the trail with ease. It doesn't take long to get to where it leads. Which was to a tree just out of sight of the road. There you see Pharnox's mate, hands tied above her head and to the tree. Getting closer, you notice her clothes are torn and barely hanging on her body, and three stab wounds in her lower belly. Around her neck is tied a note that reads, Two little elves, travel in a marsh. One was dealt with and rather harsh. Once again, the Shadow Hand insignia is imprinted in the lower corner of the note.
Gashka looks almost enraged at the sight, "Why are they doing this? I swear on my life that when we catch up to them....they're gonna pay." The last three words come out of her in a growl.
Since I have to go to work, I'll let everyone else decide what to do...but, we probably need to get her to Tarth as soon as possible.
Looking at the young woman Gashka hands Christophe a couple of the healing potions they found in Nox's wagon. "Here, if you need them...they might help her. I don't think we're gonna find anything else around here, as soon as we're able we should load everyone back up and get to Tarth. She needs a bed and lots of rest now."
"She's right I just want to go over the area quickly to see if there's any sign of where the ones that did this went to." Anyka nods at Gashka's assessment. "You should get her to the carraige Christophe.
Chris nods and takes the potions. While he wasn't the strongest of people, he hoisted the woman on his back and headed back to the dead elf's wagon. Renard trots alongside him and barks.
"She'll live...but not a full life," Chris sighs. He lays the woman down in the wagon after setting out his bedroll and blanket. He covers her up, sits at the edge and sighs. What are these people involved with?
"That larger wagon should have a place inside to lay her down for now. As soon as everyone's ready, Christophe and I will take the larger wagon with her in it. We can either go in front, or follow behind you Anyka."
"Let's get moving, they knew we were coming otherwise they wouldn't have set her up like that. Which could mean there is another orb around..." Jin advises.
Gashka looks at Anyka and nods, "That's probably a good idea....maybe I should see about just staying awake for the next couple of nights.....doubt I'm gonna wanna see this in my dreams as well." She shakes her head a frown on her face, "I really really hate these guys."
As everyone begins packing up the carriage and wagon, Flynt could feel a sensation in his ears. Remembering what Lady Talia said, he closed his eyes and concentrated. Pulling an arrow and aiming quickly, he let loose towards an area above the carriage. There came a distinctive sound of the arrow striking metal. Moments later the Observer became visible and fell on top of the carriage.
