GM blunder: that burning hands was supposed to be 4d4+5. Retconning: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 The attack did 12 damage, which Elyna's ref halved to 6. Elyna took 6 damage, not 5.
edit: wow, this is such an embarrassing page-top post. Now we can look at my blunder for a few days straight every time we come to this thread.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"Kekkle- leave Pahleg to me for now; at the moment you'll be able to help more in these tight confines than I."
Ulrich sheathes his blade, ready to shoulder Pahleg.
I'll grab the cleric if Kekkle drops him and take a move action toward the combat.
Kekkle Smoughbon
Round 1
Kekkle catches sight of the tail-end of the blast. More importantly he feels the air pressure in the room drop instantly as the oxygen is gobbled up for fuel by the hungry flames.
Taking 10 on Spellcraft for a 16
He shakes his head vigorously at Ulrich's suggestion. Was he scared? Doesn't matter, only a fool could feel brave in this situation.
"No, no, no." he says "That blast was more powerful than anything I could produce by at least four times. We need to retreat to somewhere safe. A bottleneck like these tunnels is a deathwish. We can't even press our advantage of numbers!"
Elyna
"Agh!", after dodging the fire Elyna reflexively throws her hands up in the direction of the attacker and a flame blast springs back at the attacker.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Then she retreats towards the others.

Ushio Takei
Ushio sees the flames erupt from the crack down the hall as Elyna narrowly escapes a burning hell. Ushio quickly picks up a head and moves down the hall 4 squares from his starting.
Can Ushio stealth? his opponent is around a corner.
If so, Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14. Inspired Trait reroll:
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Rilian Sol
Round 1
Rilian seems lost amidst the battles, things seem to be only getting worse and this is more combat than she felt like she had ever seen.
"Get help you insolent child! I'll do it if I have to... The breathy voice scolds her. Feeling an odd calming sensation as she holds her hands out with palms open towards the ground. "Venient Canis" she mumbles absent-mindedly and her eyes seem to lose focus. On the ground in front of her a circle of runes inscribes itself in a firey script and a dog-like creature begins to claw itself out of the ground from inside the circle. It stands there, looking like a devilish hound with large fangs dripping a dark ichor.
Rilian holds a hand up, pointing loosely towards the creature that had just unleashed a blast of hell-fire against Elyna. "Attack." Rilian mutters as her eyes begin to refocus. She shakes her head and looks fearfully at the creature she has summoned - as though seeing it for the first time.

Round 1
Kekkle identifies the blast of flame as a burning hands spell. He can feel its power is tremendous, and tries to warn his comrades of the danger... with little success.
In response to the man's fire attack, Elyna blasts her own flames at the target. The blast is sloppily aimed, and hits the wall. She then retreats a little.
Ushio sneaks to the tunnel in order to catch the enemy off-guard. You can use stealth, moving half your normal speed. Double move and that's 6 squares, but you can move 4 if you want.
Moritat dashes towards the sound of battle, followed by Goramar a bit behind. The square in front of Rilian got taken by Ushio, so I'm moving Moritat behind Rilian.
Ulrich takes hold of Pahleg and moves towards combat.
Rilian summons a fiendish dog in front of Elyna. Summon monster SLA is a standard action, you can move if you want and the summoned creature acts immediately after your turn.
The freshly conjured hell hound barks and dashes towards the crack and bites the man in hiding.
Melee attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Melee damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
The man curses in pain.
Round 2
You see another blast of fire in the tunnel, directed at Rilian's hound.
Concentration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 success!
Dog's Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 success!
burning hands: 4d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 4) + 5 = 15
The dog takes 2 damage.
The blast barely damages the hound, who continues to bark furiously.
Goramar Midur
The battle-map only shows me moving 30 feet. If I moved 60 feet for my full round action I should be behind Ulrich, unless I'm looking at things wrong.
Round 2
Sensing that the fighting was still off in the distance, Goramar takes a deep breath, and takes off down the hallway towards everyone. The half-orc comes to a stop behind Moritat assuming my previous OOC was correct.
Elyna
I don't know if I can see the enemy from where I am now, but he would probably at least get cover.
Elyna holds out her left hand palm facing upwards a flame igniting in it as she gets ready to hurl it at the assailant.
If I can see him, I attack now, if not, I will call it a readied attack for if he comes into view
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Nevermind, dice bot hates me anyway.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Ulrich puts Pahleg down in a corner and takes up a position around the corner from the combat.
I will be next to Moritat's position, next to the wall.
Ushio Takei
Ushio keeps his stealth up and moves another four squares down the passage.
Kekkle Smoughbon
Round 2
Kekkle follows after Ulrich as the man runs towards the battle without hesitation. He immediately picks up Pahleg after he ends up on the ground and takes cover at the corner (especially if a certain corpse decides to make a reappearance). The scarecrow merely waits and hopes his companions may listen this time.
"What now then, Mr. Hero?" he chides "Some grand scheme perhaps? Because our foe has quite the advantage, and likely no shortage of spells to cast."
"If you want to go rushing in there I hope you're wearing a spice rub; you'll end up a roast by the end!"
The scarecrow is clearly not pleased by how the group is proceeding.

Round 2
Kekkle runs next to Ulrich and their unconscious comrade and picks the poor cleric up. He then scolds his companions for their recklessness... words that once again go unheard.
Elyna shoots another blast of fire, hitting the same wall again. Can't see from where you are, but because loldice it didn't matter.
Ushio sneaks forward in the tunnel. He's now right next to the hell hound and the crack on the wall.
Moritat delays.
Despite his scarecrow friend's warnings, Ulrich bravely marches towards the mouth of the tunnel. He is followed by the half-orc slayer. My bad, I moved you first 30 feet and forgot to move you the second time. But since you used this round to move behind Moritat it didn't matter.
Rilian delays.
Rilian's infernal dog jumps at the man.
Melee attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Melee damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The dog takes another bite of whoever is hiding in the crack. You witness blood splattering from the crack.
Round 3
Yet another burst of fire fills the tunnel.
Concentration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 success!
Dog's Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
burning hands: 4d4 + 5 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 1) + 5 = 11
The dog takes 6 damage.
The summoned dog yelps in pain as it is caught in the blast. In seconds, the dog is no more, having been banished to whence it came.
Rilian Sol
Sorry I had thought I read that it functioned the same as the Spell. Rilian would have used a Move action to retreat back towards Kekkle and Pahleg. So at the start of Round 2 she would be near Ulrich / The Mouth of the corridor.
Round 2
Rilian stares wide-eyed as the creature she had ripped forth takes a blast of fire and manages to stay standing, baring it's teeth at the thing in the wall.
"I agree with Sir Kekkle here. I don't know how much longer that hell-hound can keep it distracted!" She manages to call out, swallowing her fear.
"Not much longer girl - it is time to go..." The voice has a biting tone to it, much different than it's usual teasing. Rilian shakes her head, now was not the time to succumb to insanity, as she falls back further to the relative safety of the southern tunnel.
Double Move action to place Rilian next to Kekkle and Pahleg. [I would need more than just 30ft. to get there]
Goramar Midur
No worries. I suppose if I would've paid attention as well I would've noticed it all evened out.
Round 3
Goramar watches as the girl goes running by in retreat still unable to work his way through the group of people in front of him. Pretty sure I can't get through. Let me know if I'm wrong and I will post a move action to get within range, otherwise going to ready an attack.
Readied Attack
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

"Reckless bravery has its time and place, Sir Scarecrow. You, with your deck of cards, can attack from range- and since you seem reluctant to reach a position to do so, I shall remain at the ready to bring battle to our enemy- or to drag our comrades of the moment from harm's way. As it stands, the situation will have to play out despite our bickering."
Looks like I'm staying around the corner from the mouth of the corridor, from what I can tell.
Moritat
Well, last I checked Goramar is our ally, and you can move through an ally's space. So go stab a dude, man. Also delaying. Again. Also, for shits and giggles, seeing what would happen if I had a clear line to charge him with a Power Attack/Bloodrage going.
CHARGE!!!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damn cocktease: 8d4 + 40 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 3) + 40 = 58
.... Y'all need to move. Like, seriously. At the very least force him to move towards us, so more of us can actually have a chance to hit him. As it stands, he has the advantage thanks to that hall. Bottlenecking is no ones friend, especially with as many maritals as we have. And, you know. I can debuff people with a charge. Or as previously demonstrated, annihilate them.
Kekkle Smoughbon
Round 3
"Cards of which I only have so many, master Ulrich, and I am hardly apt to hit him in his guarded position - let alone survive the wave of hellfire I would have to face to get there. You think to let actions as they may, but have you considered the consequences? Master Ushio and Lady Elyna are wounded both, and the health of Master Pahleg is hardly any better." he adjusts the cleric on his back for effect. Meanwhile down the hall there is another burst of heat and the yelping of the dog as it dies. "If it were one of us to be caught in the blast there are none here with the ability to save them from their fate. You'd be dragging a corpse, as it were."
Kekkle raises his voice and calls out down the hall towards their assailant. "You there!" he says, disguising the trepidation in his heart. "We have you surrounded and outnumbered, and you have nowhere to go! Submit to parlay before more blood must be spilled! What say you, sir?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17
Kekkle: Talking and total/partial defense for that round. I'm still off to the side of the hallway and hopefully out of the way if anyone is looking to come out.
Ushio Takei
After Elyna's turn...
Ushio either:
A) Readies the skull as a thrown attack when he has line of sight (when the man decides to leave the corner).
OR
B) Throws the skull at the guy if he can immediately see him.
Either way, The skull is an improvised ranged weapon and the closest thing I can find is the StingChuck. The dice will be:
ThrownAttack against ??Flat-Footed??: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16 If hit: 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (6) = 9
If not sneak attack then just 3 damage.
Rilian Sol
[Round 3]
Rilian sees the dog vanish, the smell of fire now permeating the stale air of the Labrynth. Her breath catches when Kekkle starts to call for a parlay. She wondered if the creature even had enough sense left to recognize the situation.
Will post actions depending on if Ushio or anyone else can kill it before my initiative order. I'd rather not summon a second creature in the third fight of what looks to be a long day.

Kekkle offers one last words of wisdom for his comrades before offering parlay for whoever is hiding in there. "..." There is no response from the enemy.
Elyna delays.
Ushio throws a severed head at the man. It hits him in the chest, and the man grunts. You can see him, he got cover but hit anyway, he saw you so no sneak attack, the head did nonlethal damage. I'd have told you earlier that the head would deal nonlethal damage had I known you would use it as a weapon.
Moritat delays.
Ulrich speaks with Kekkle.
Goramar readies an attack.
Rilian delays.
Round 4
The man steps out of the crack on the wall. You can now see that he's a tall half-orc, wearing corpse rags. He runs towards you and raises his hands, preparing another fire blast.
Elyna reacts to the threat and shoots a fire blast of her own before the man can.
ranged attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
ranged damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The blast kills the man before he can harm you any more.
Combat over.
Loot coming later.
Goramar Midur
"If you all want to die let me know, I don't need to continue trying to come to your aid. The human" Goramar growls while pointing at Ulrich "made a suggestion for the order in which we should move together. If you want to go off on your own, don't expect any more help from me." The half-orc casts a stern gaze over the rest of the group. "I have no intentions of dying and I won't do so trying to come rescue some little girl because she can't realize how over her head she is. QUIT WANDERING OFF, or I'll leave you to die!" With the finality of Goramar's statement, he walks off as he continues to mutter to himself. "I'm not dying for these people, especially when one of their own makes a suggestion to keep us all alive and they blatantly ignore it."
Goramar will work with parties but only when it is in his best interest. At the moment, the group has split up twice resulting in injuries/death which is angering him. If anyone has any issues with the way he is being played let me know.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Ulrich clears his throat, somewhat awkwardly.
"I'm certainly one to talk, of course, as Kekkle has pointed out in the heat of the moment. But Goramar is correct, if... brusque. We're all fragmented a bit, having died and woken up here, but let's try to work together a bit better- myself included."
He looks over at the unconscious Pahleg.
"Say, that fire-slinging fellow doesn't have a healing draught or anything of that nature, does he?"
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"Kekkle has kept him stable, but it seems he'll be out for some time. A knife in the ribs will do that to you..."
Kekkle Smoughbon
"Our priority now should be to find some way between floors. A ladder, stairs, elevator - something. Ulrich said that there could be a healer on B14, wherever that is."
"So what'll it be? the hall I was in earlier was larger, could go somewhere. Though I suppose the same could be said of this one here. Perhaps, by the grace of Auorink, this man'll have a map of some sort on him."
Ushio Takei
"Perhaps Kekkle; Perahps."
Ushio's voice trails off as he draws the priests book (labyrinthika), a tome of which he has taken to. He puts it back and looks back at the party, "So, where to now? We need to continue to B14F it seems. But first we must figure out where we are to find out where to go. And so, Where to?"
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"We're groping blindly in the dark, until we know more. Let us try heading in the direction of our latest ambusher, the fire thrower. Perhaps a left turn at the end of that passage, unless a scouting sortie tells us otherwise?"
GM MG
Correction to earlier hastily-written sentence: The blast incapacitated the enemy, didn't kill.
The half-orc fire-user didn't fade to ashes and dust, so you suspect he's still alive. A single coup de grace kills, or you can attempt to revive him if you want.
You examine the half-orc fire-user's person and find nothing valuable apart from the sweaty clothes he was wearing.
You examine the nearby area. You take a peek into the hole the attacker was hiding in. There, you see a rusty pickaxe.
Pickaxe (Broken)
A mining tool, used for breaking up hard ground or rock.Standard pickaxe with broken condition. Worth 0 souls.
Many have attempted to mine their way out of the Labyrinth. None have succeeded thus far, and the tunnels they've mined have only expanded the already-complex maze.
The hidey-hole is very small, barely having enough room for two people. It amazes you how the tall half-orc managed to fit there comfortably. Nothing else in the small hole catches your attention.
Next, you examine the end of the tunnel. The left side seems to lead to another chamber. The right side tunnel continues for about 30 feet before a wall of white mist or fog blocks your view completely.
Where would you like to go, or would you like to examine the other tunnel (where the sparkly thing and barrels were)?
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"Or... perhaps we stay put a moment and assess. Give good Pahleg a chance to awaken and we can consider our options? We can head back to where we arrived and take a defensive position."
As per the rule cited in the ooc thread, I think taking a chance on Pahleg regaining consciousness is the best bet as A. it gets him back in the game more actively, which is more fun and B. it provides an excuse to memorize spells and check those labyrinth books.
"And we can interrogate our attacker, this time.", he adds, nodding to where the unconscious half-orc lies.
We have plentiful rags and blood as well if someone wanted to Mad Max it up and start making crude maps in-character using blood in lieu of ink.
Elyna
"Maybe we should take a closer look at that room at the end of the tunnel." Elyna interjects, "Before we let our guard down we should make sure there are no more nasty surprises nearby."
After a moment she adds "But all of us going together would be advisable."
She walks over to the incapacitated half-orc: "Also let's take care of this", as glowing embers gather in the heat-distorted air around her she puts her fist into the palm of her other hand and as she pulls the hands apart a flame stretches out between them like a blade that stays attached to her fist. She jabs the flaming blade into the half-orc's neck to end it.
Using a move action with both hands to reduce burn cost for kinetic blade from 1 to 0
Coup de Grace with Kinetic blade: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11
Elyna
"He wasn't even lucid enough to notice he was completely outnumbered. I doubt he would have given us any useful information. Or said words." the flames dissipate as Elyna unclenches her fist.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"Very well, let's clear this next room then. But I would ask that we at least try to question our next foe, even if their hostility suggests otherwise."
GM MG
The group, led by Goramar and Ulrich, turn to the left and go investigate the chamber.
As they arrive, they notice the chamber is quite spacious, measuring approximately 40 feet by 30 feet. Wooden shelves decorate the chamber all around. You wonder if this room has once been used as a library or a storage or something. The shelves are now empty, having been robbed of their former glory, whatever it was.
On the backside of the chamber, there is a large chest.
Ushio Takei
"Agreed, Kekkle! But first.... is that a chest.... I advise we don't touch it yet.... the last few 'shinies' were lures and almost killed us all."
Ushio looks at Goramar and Moritat and grins. "Well... almost everyone..."
Goramar Midur
Goramar senses a presence nearby and approaches it quietly.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Effectively hidden from sight, Goramar stabs at the enemy as it is watching the rest of the party go by.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Not good attack roll at all for being sneaky
As the half-orc's rapier misses slightly to the side, he shouts out "Might want to take care of this before you all settle in for rest!"
If I didn't have to move to get within range of the target, I would like to take a moment to study them. Grants me +1 attack/dmg (won't matter for this attack).
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Ulrich walks forward into the room. He looks over and is genuinely surprised that Goramar isn't next to him.
"Eh? Take care of- where are you?"
GM MG
Goramar casually but carefully walks to the enemy he noticed earlier and stabs them. Unfortunately for him, the enemy swiftly blocks the attack with a small shield of sorts.
Ulrich: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15

Goramar notices there are two humans in the room, wearing corpse rags over some kind of armor. One of them, a western female human, is holding a small shield and a sword. The other human, who seems to be from the south, is a male holding a spear.
Without a word they approach you with malevolent sparks on their vacant eyes.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
I'm assuming the woman with the shield is the one Goramar has cornered?
Ulrich hustles around the bookshelf to his left and takes up a position on Goramar's flank.
Moving thirty feet to be on the square diagonal from Goramar on the left side.
The knight squares his feet and sets his sword ready to parry.
Total defense- +4 AC, AC 15 until next round.
Goramar Midur
Goramar studies the opponent in front of him and lunges again, hoping this time to strike true. Move action to study target +1 atk/dmg
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4
Finally, the rapier strikes through as intended. The half-orc takes a 5' step back, working his way towards the chest on the other side of the room. Someone thinks they can hide, I'm going to go pay them a visit
Of course this is all on my turn

Round 1
Rilian and Ushio delay. Rilian might have been able to affect the flow of the battle but seeing her irregular posting rhythm I'm going to keep things flow smoothly.
Elyna scoffs sarcastically while walking forward, gathering flames around her hands, ready to burn anyone who'd dare to bring harm.
Ulrich bravely dashes forward to help defend his half-orc companion. Correctly assumed. I hope I moved you to the right square?
The cornered woman swings her sword at Goramar's green face.
Melee attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Melee damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
She wounds the half-orc, managing to cut a deep scar on the half-orc's shoulder. Her expression becomes delighted for a brief second before turning back to vacancy.
The spear-wielding man behind a shelf steps forward and lunges his spear at Ulrich. Just as he's about to hit the knight, Elyna calls flames at her target. The spear bearer is hit with a blast of fire, but continues his attack regardless.
Melee attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Melee damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
The spear goes straight to Ulrich's side. The man grins at his bloodied victim.
Suddenly, you can hear a bow string being stretched and an arrow whistling by.
Ranged attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Ranged damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
The arrow hits Elyna in her left leg. She looks around and sees a third enemy, wielding a bow, covering behind the large chest. When the gnome's and his eyes meet, the human bowman flashes a friendly smile: an act that is contradicted when the bowman nocks another arrow.
Kekkle delays.
Despite the chaos around him, Goramar focuses on the enemy in front of him. He finds a weak spot on the woman's defense and mercilessly abuses it by stabbing her. The enemy howls in pain, but continues to fight. Goramar turns back while the woman is in pain, working his way closer to the bowman.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Exactly correct positioning, thanks.
Ulrich grits his teeth and steps forward into the spearman's space, hoping to force him into changing tactics.
Five foot step toward the spearman, taking a swing at him.
