Round 1
Kekkle steps inside the secret room whilst gathering magical energy. (It's been about 2 minutes since the fight ended, so if your shield lasts 3 minutes, yeah. BTW, it just occurred to me that magi are not proficient in medium armor, and that's what you've been wearing. How should we resolve this?)
Tannan moves forward and throws a dagger at Prince. (Daggers have a range increment of 10 feet, and Prince is within the third increment, so you take a -4 on the attack roll.) The dagger sticks to the table.
Araden moves forward and swings his axe at the Liar. The Liar evades the hit. (Missed, even with the spirit surge. The Liar is quite evasive.)
Elyna takes cover at the entrance.
The Prince, as he is called, casts a spell. His body vanishes into thin air.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Common sense: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11
Ulrich narrows his eye.
"The pissant is invisible. Stay together!"
The knight advances to stand abreast to Araden, maintaining a line. Much as he wishes to drive his blade into the Liar's chest at this moment, he has no desire to overextend and be surrounded. I see Araden as sort of between lines on the map- if he's at CQ30, I'll step up to CR30.
"Did you think you could escape us for long, Liar? The wonderful thing about this Labyrinth is that we'll always be back. Over and over, I'll be here waiting to run you through. Even if you kill me, it's only a moment in time before we do this all. Over. Again.", he says.
Intimidate to demoralize: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Sorry for the hold up.
Pahleg rushes into the room, spear in hand. He takes a position next to Araden and readies his longspear to attack anyone that enters his reach.
Moving to CP30, readying to attack anyone that comes within range.
Longspear: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Elyna
Elyna runs into the room and with no ther target inside unloads the fire she's been gathering at the Liar.
Move to CQ 31
Ranged Touch Attack (Elemental Overflow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Round 1
Ulrich steps forward and intimidates the Liar with piercing and frightening words. The enemy is visibly shaken, but puts on a fragile grin. "H-hah! I know what you mean. And... we're... Hm...!" (Shaken for 3 rounds, you beat the DC by 10 or more.)
Pahleg enters the room, spear in hand, ready to strike an enemy. (Araden was at CP30, so Pahleg is at one square south.)
Round 2
The Liar slowly walks towards the back of the room, keeping up his fighting stance. (Araden, you get an AoO.)
Tannan Valdri
Perception to know which way Prince went?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Diagonal up to CT-27, then directly "right" to CW-27. 2 acrobatics checks to avoid AOOs, and hopefully prevent "liar" from retreating. If the "prince" attacks me during my move, then my actions my change
Tannan looks around, and decides to go all out. This place has pissed hi off, and he plans on taking his frustration out of whomever wats to get in his way.

Araden swings at the Liar as he backs up into the room, not wanting to let the man escape this time. He presses his own assault, charging forward with another vicious swing of his axe. "No escape today, scoundrel."

Round 2
Araden seizes the situation and whacks the Liar, hitting him with considerable force.
Kekkle delays. Thanks.
Tannan looks around, but can't find a clue about the Prince's movement. He then dashes forward, hoping to block the enemy's exit while avoiding danger. He slides in a way that avoid's the Liar's reach, but the Liar was prepared to counterattack. (No AoO, but Liar had readied an attack.)
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Evading the counterattack, Tannan moves to block the exit, but bumps into something on his way.
Araden charges forward, with another vicious swing of his axe. His fierce assault knocks the Liar down, unconscious and bloody. (His body some things worth looting, if you want to spend actions inspecting it.)
Elyna, check your action.
Elyna
shoot where Tannan bumped into something instead. I can make a new roll if you want
Ranged Touch Attack (Elemental Overflow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Ulrich of Ravensmount
For when it gets to me.
Ulrich runs into the narrow passageway after the Liar, assuming that the invisible foe will have run that way.
Double moving into the narrow passage until I hit something.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
"Pahleg, stop the Liar's bleeding- there's a vacant cell with his name on it."
Unless Pahleg would like to do differently....
The cleric steps over to the Liar's slumped form and attempts to stabilize him.
Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Round 2
Kekkle rushes to close off the exit.
Elyna runs into the room and unloads the fire she's been gathering at the empty space Tannan bumped into. Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 45 (Miss. Wouldn't have hit anyway because of cover.)
Tannan, Kekkle and Araden can hear a quiet crack in the empty space Tannan bumped into.
Ulrich, check your action. It can go retroactively here.
Pahleg steps over to the Liar's slumped form and provides first care to him. He seems stable, and genuinely unconscious.
Round 3
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Adjusted action- if no one is at CU28, Ulrich will get in there and attack the space that everyone hates because there's an invisible guy in it.
Longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Araden the Wanderer
Araden decides to take a more proactive approach to stopping the invisible enemy, and moves into the hallway, turning as he does so to regard the group. Move into CW 25 to cut off the escape. "Someone block the other entrance--we'll keep the enemy from escape!"
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Elyna will continue trying to set the invisible Prince on fire, tossing flame into the square he is believed to occupy:
Ranged touch (elemental overflow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3) + 5 = 10
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Sorry, maybe I'm waiting too long to NPC people.
Tannan shanks the space in front of him, seeking out the Prince with the tip of a blade.
Dagger: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 151d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Kekkle likewise attacks the space where the knife fighter had bumped into something, hoping that he can at least confirm where the knave is.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Round 2
Adjusted Ulrich moves next to his companions and hits the space that Tannan bumped into. Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 9 His sword cuts nothing but air.
Round 3
Tannan shanks the same space. Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 23 His dagger, likewise, does not hit anything.
Araden moves to the exit passageway, to prevent anyone from leaving. Even though the exit is sealed in the same was as the entrance, it could be easy for someone to leave when no one is guarding the exit. (If it ever comes to it, the secret wall can be opened as a standard action and closed as a full-round action.)
Kekkle, while also standing guard at the exit, attacks the same space. Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 68 Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 15 His swords do not cut anything either. Even though the scimitar definitely should have at least touched something... It is becoming evident that the enemy is not in that space any longer.
Elyna is not in on that discovery yet, however, and she attacks the space nonetheless. Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 87 The fire passes through, almost becoming friendly fire.
...
Pahleg
I don't even know where we are on the map anymore haha. I'll try to cover the most area possible, including his last known location if I can. At the very least I can follow the lingering aura if I miss him.
Ulrich of Ravensmount
With Elyna blocking the door, Ulrich stands over the prone form of the Liar.
"We can wait you out, Prince. I'd offer a surrender condition, but frankly I don't give a damn. Your death or your surrender will both be agreeable to me."
Intimidation: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
He turns to the rest of the party.
"Do any of you have rope- or a length of chain?"
Araden the Wanderer
"Sadly, I've nothing of that kind," Araden says, resting his axe down to the ground and maintaining his guard. He can't hope to pinpoint the location of an invisible foe, but he can maintain his position and ready to swing if anything brushes against him.
Readied Cestus Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Ulrich of Ravensmount
So Pahleg is casting detect magic; I'd assume that Tannan and Elyna will go on total defense until the Prince shows his face again.

Ulrich declares threatening words to intimidate the invisible Prince. (It worked. Not that Ulrich can see it, of course.)
Pahleg walks the corner and scans the area for magic. (The scanned area is marked in lighter shade grey.) (1st round) There is a presence of magical auras.
Round 4
Elyna steps to block the entrance and takes total defense.
...
Pahleg concentrates on the scanning. (2nd round) There is 1 aura, which is a dim (lingering) aura.
Round 5
Anything you'd like to do at this point?

Round 6
Elyna
"You stay away from me!" Elyna takes a step back gathering fire between her hand and thrusts them forward in an arc unleashing a spray of flames.

Hey guys, I'm back! Did I take any damage? (just making sure I didn't miss anything)
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Nope, just hunting down an invisible guy.
If Elyna's fan of flames draws a reaction, Ulrich tries to grab the invisible Prince once a rough location is known.

Elyna, who takes a step back and unleashes an arc of flames. Ref: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 Ref: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 ...The flames engulf the area momentarily, and not much else seem to happen.
...
Ulrich, not noticing a reaction from Elyna's flames, stays put.
Pahleg follows the lingering aura. (Double move. And if you want to get technical, you don't know the aura is that of an illusion effect.)
(In the interest of keeping this not-boring-to-death, unless anyone comes with a plan, the next post has Pahleg scan for 3 more rounds.)
(Elyna, and/or anyone with a good plan: if possible, try to submit actions for the next 3 rounds.)
Araden the Wanderer
Araden simply remains on the defensive at his exit. He draws his morningstar when it becomes apparent that he has time to, and continues to ready himself to strike anything that he feels near him.
Tannan Valdri
Tannan will guard the secret door. He just doesn't want the slippery bastard to get out the way they came in.
readied action to attack if he tries to get past me: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Ulrich of Ravensmount
Long day at work, my apologies.
Elyna tosses flames around where Pahleg is pointing.
So, she'll throw flames at CQ 30, CP31 and CO 30 to see if she can flush this character out.
CQ 30: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 72d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 4) + 3 = 12
