Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Fair enough, had to ask.
Ulrich points to the rugged outfit covered in pockets.
"I'd like that as well, these rags smell too much of the sea and irreversible fate."
I'll take an explorer's outfit. And I'm all set unless anyone else wants something.

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Yes, I'd like to return to the Corporal, leave my heavy armor with him and continue toward the Throne.

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

"Verily. Let us proceed to the Throne."
Ulrich takes point, leading the party in the direction Matt indicated. Down the stairs at the end of the hallway where we saw the praying figure, right?

GM MG |

Indeed.
The party leaves the blood-stained room, moving forward in the cell row. The raving lunatic halfling is still there ("Lots... lots of it! Wives and daughters, all for the illusion to fight war! ...") as is the sleeping feline humanoid.
As they pass by cell number 8 they notice a massive, gaping empty space on their right. Instead of a wall, there is a railing on the right side, preventing anyone from carelessly falling to their death.
The view is quite awe-inspiring. It is as if a gargantuan hole was carved inside the Labyrinth, yet its edges are made of brickwork. It is a hole that goes so deep one cannot see the bottom and so high one has to question whether it was made by hands of people. From this ledge, a wide platform can be seen about 20 feet down. In the middle of this platform, which resembles a bridge from one end of the hole to another, is a humanoid figure in robes, kneeling in a position of prayer.
The gargantuan vertical tunnel is still there, and so is the platform (bridge?). There is not sign of the praying figure.
The prisoner in cell 11 is, a bit amusingly, still there, despite his confidence in finding someone to set him free. The short half-orc does not seem pleased to see the party. "...Hello."

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

"Hello. And goodbye once more.", Ulrich says, briskly passing the prisoner on the way to the staircase.

Araden the Wanderer |

"What misfortune, that you're captured here. What brought you this fate, friend?" Araden pauses by the half-orc, torn between his companions' nonchalance and his own desire to help others. But there must be some good reason for another soul to be imprisoned, even within this larger dungeon.

GM MG |

With mild amusement (and some healthy and justified schadenfreude), the party moves past the shady prisoner. "That's it! When I get out of here I'll tear you idiots to pieces!" the half-orc curses to the party's backs. "Come on! I have something you want! Let's make a deal!..."
The party descends the stairs, and arrives to a relatively small space. The way forward takes a tight turn to the 5 o'clock direction. Numerous candles on the floor and torches on the walls illuminate the entire area. (Normal lighting)
The words "TRAP AHEAD" can be made out in the stone floor, written in chalk of some kind.
The way forward is a long hallway, with large stone statues depicting dragons alongside its walls. In the middle of this hallway stands a towering fiend and a young human in red and gray robes. (Everyone roll Stealth, otherwise they notice you. And what's your marching order?)
Current location is B16F CW37.

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

What you have on the map looks pretty good so far- Myself and Araden, followed by Pahleg and Kekkle, then Elyna and Tannan. By all means revise, comrades, if this is not to your liking.
Stealth: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (19) - 5 = 14
Ulrich hustles into the nearby alcove to a muted clanking.

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Yes! Follow the man with the 7 wisdom! What could possiblie go wrong? PossibLY go wrong. That's... the first thing that's ever gone wrong.
Also- stealth check, Pahleg! Unless you want to give diplomacy a try.

Tannan Valdri |

Tannan does his best to be stealthy, but upon hearing the lack of silence around him, he realizes any sneaky attempt will be futile. Instead he keeps his eyes out for any potential traps that are around, seeing there is a notice for such a thing. He doesn't see anything out of the ordinary, so he keeps going.
Per: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Unless you are giving me the auto-spot, here is a DD check DD: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Elyna |

"I GOT A 4!"
Thanks to her small size Elyna slips out of sight adequately, but the clap as the palm of her hand hits her forehead in reaction to Pahleg, Araden and Kekkle's efforts might yet give her away to an attentive listener.
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

I like to think that everyone in metal armor just crashed into each other in the hallway while they were trying to get into the same hiding spot.

GM MG |

Noticing a probable enemy nearby, the party attempts to stay unseen and withdraws out of the line of sight. Some members succeeded better than others in staying quiet, and the towering fiend in the distance moves around. In response to the fiend's behavior, the mage turns to the party's direction.
"O-hoy! There you aaaare!" the person in red shouts a greeting. "Come on in! Welcome to the Dragon Cathedral! We have been-"
The mage is interrupted when the fiend punches him. "Ow! Oh, right!"
...The two make no other actions.
Tannan looks around for possible traps, but nothing in the area sticks out on a quick glance. (If I understand the rules correctly looking for traps is a Perception check, move action, that can be retried. You can use that DD check later if you find a trap, or can reroll.)
(Elyna, Kekkle, Pahleg, Ulrich: You may make an untrained Knowledge (planes) check about the fiend. Lore bonus is possible.)

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

"We'll stay where we are at the moment... Who are you two? And with whom are you affiliated?", Ulrich calls out from his position.

GM MG |

The two figures in the hallway do not respond to Ulrich. "This is bad, isn't it?" the mage says almost whispering to the fiend, but the ambiance echoes it so that the party can hear.
Ulrich thinks back about the situation, and remembers the Liar and his company. The fiend in the distance bears a striking resemblance to the fiend that accompanied the Liar and the Prince. The Prince had called it, "Amon".
Kekkle casts detect magic, and detects a presence of magic.
GMPC Tannan looks for traps... move 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
move 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Eh, let's say Pahleg gives him a guidance.
Tannan spots a magical trap in the statue right in front of the party.

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Ulrich glowers as he is ignored.
"'Amon' was it?", he calls out. "Where are your other friends? The Liar, the Prince? Did they leave you on the wrong side of the dragon?"

GM MG |

Tannan attempts to disable the trap he found (using the 24). Something goes wrong, and the trap remains functional, but it does not activate. (Failed by 4 or less.)
Ulrich calls out the fiend by its name. This seems to upset the fiend, causing it to fly into rage.
Kekkle: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Pahleg: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3
Elyna: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Tannan: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Araden: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
---
Amon: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
Mage: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Elyna, Kekkle,
then the fiend,
then the rest of the party,
then the mage
Round 1

Kekkle Smoughbon |

Sorry guys, kept forgetting to post
Kekkle moves to a position of cover, unwilling to cross the trapped the path of the trapped statue. From there he waits, ready to blast the fiend a second time should he approach.
Move to CU 40. Readying action to cast color spray if the fiend or mage get within range

GM MG |

Kekkle 17
Fiend 14
Tannan 10
Araden 9
Ulrich 6
Pahleg 3

Round 1
Elyna delays.
Kekkle moves to cover and prepares to blast the approaching fiend with magic.
The fiend rushes forward, drool dripping from its jaws, but slows its pace when near the statue. It eyes the party, especially Kekkle, and slams its elongated arms together menacingly.

Tannan Valdri |

Is there any way I can tell what the statue does in terms of the trap? Is it triggered by "moving" past it or is there a pressure plate as a trigger? Could someone "jump past the statue without triggering it per se?
Tannan will look at the statue, than look at the fiend bearing down on them.
Hmm, it appear whatever the trap does, the enemy doesn't want the effects to happen to them as well. If only we could get this to work in our favor. Once it is disabled, all hell will break loose
Guys, whatever this damn thing does, it is also keeping them at bay. Still want me to try and disarm it?
if yes
Tannan will try to carefully and precisely disarm the trap.
DD: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

GM MG |

As it is a magical trap, I think it'd require either Spellcraft or Knowledge (arcana) to identify (though I'm not sure which one, and how long that would take). Let's say it's either Knowledge (arcana) DC 20 + spell level, or Spellcraft DC 15 + spell level that requires the application of detect magic.

Elyna |

Elyna steps forward and unleases a blast of flame.
Move to CU 38
Ranged Touch Attack (Elemental Overflow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage (Elemental Overflow): 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 5) + 5 = 12

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Ulrich steps into the hallway CT39, pulling the longbow from the quiver on his back. He knocks an arrow and keeps a bead on the mage.
"Your move, knave."
I'm going to ready an action to attack the mage if he starts casting a spell.
MWK longbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 181d8 ⇒ 4

Araden the Wanderer |

Araden isn't certain of what's occurring now, or why the party seems so standoffish, but he recognizes a threat when he sees one. The knight steps forward and plants his feet, raising his bardiche and ready to meet any danger. Move to CT 38, ready an attack if the fiend moves close enough.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

GM MG |

Mage 1
Round 1
Elyna steps forward and unleashes a blast of flame at the fiend. The attack connects, but the fiend seems to resist the flames to some degree. (Fire resistance.)
Tannan eyes the statue and looks for a way to disable the trap in it. Something goes wrong, and the trap remains functional, but it does not activate. (Failed by 4 or less. I also just realised that you don't have Trapfinding, so you can't disable it.)
Araden steps forward and raises his bardiche, ready to strike the fiend.
Ulrich steps right next to him and aims his bow at the mage.
GMPC Pahleg offers guidance to Elyna.
The mage in the hallway reacts to the action sluggishly. He raises his arm, starting to cast something, which is Ulrich's cue to shoot him. The arrow flies into his knee.
Concentration: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Despite the injury, he finishes casting the spell. A searing beam of fire flies straight at Ulrich. "To crisps with you chickens! That's how I do it!"
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Conf: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 (Nah.)
Fire damage: 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 4) + 4 = 22
Round 2

Kekkle Smoughbon |

Round 2
"Leave it for now, Tannan. I'd say it's helping us more than harming us."
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Kekkle stays hunkered behind the wall, hesitating. Both the fiend and the mage were beyond his only ranged spell and attempting to get closer meant risking the trap. With options running out Kekkle draws the flask of holy water from his hip and chucks it at the Fiend.
Ranged: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Pahleg |

Pahleg raises his hand as electricity crackles in his yes. With a jolt he lunges his palm forward, firing a bolt of lightning at the mage!
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ulrich of Ravensmount |

Ulrich grits his teeth after taking the searing of a lifetime.
"I will not... go gently..."
He fires another arrow at the mage before falling back behind Kekkle to recover. Move to CV40.
MWK longbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 81d8 ⇒ 6

Araden the Wanderer |

Unsure of what more he can do, Araden draws the dagger from his belt and hurls it forward at the fiend, realizing the monster is hesitant to cross the statue's place. Move action to draw dagger, standard to throw, free to grab the bardiche again. -2 to the attack roll for range. EDIT: Adding on a use of spirit surge, less because I think it'll make a difference, and more to drop Araden's Influence to 2, meaning his penalties go away.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 4 - 2 + (3) = 10
Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Elyna |

I didn't get moved last turn. Anyway move to CV 39 this time. I'll keep the guidance in case I'll need to make a save.
Shuffling to get a better view, Elyna hurls another fire bolt at the fiend.
Ranged Touch Attack (Elemental Overflow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage (Elemental Overflow): 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 4) + 5 = 13
