Sorry I have been absentee. Real Life interference. Let's assume Durielle just froze up that last round as she was frightened by the giant pest.
After recovering from her uncertainty, Durielle decides that she can hesitate no longer. Seeing how valiantly her companions attempt to free Gonzo from the grip of the monstrosity before them, she knows she must act just as strongly. First a huge centipede from the Abyss descends upon them, and now a tick probably just off its suckle of the demonic arthropod attempts to suck the life from one of their own.
Stepping up next to Vladimir, Durielle raises the sword she wields in a high arc and swings. In the light of the glow of Vladimir's own blade, Durielle's steel glitters as if sparking in the dark before connecting with the giant tick's exoskeleton.

Sugua looks at the Cleric oddly as if questioning his 'friendliness' before simply allowing the man to do his will. The majority of the burn wounds dissipate but the jagged stones that bruised and dug into him remained. His reaction time however increased and Sugua seemed less tired. He grasped at his fingers a bit, testing their maneuverability before shouldering his Greatsword again and slamming his freehand as a friendly gesture into Donovan's back. " HAHA! It could also lead to fever and chills, along with aching muscles and joints, that could be a serious problem. Okay I'm going to move us along here, however feel free to spoiler anything you wanted to add between the Mite Den and the Kobolds Lair.
The statue returned to Chief Sootscale, he looks at it with a look of triumph.
"Chief Sootscale says Chief Sootscale, very good Clousuk, you do Chief Sootscale proud. Your scaleless slaves serve you well. We let them live, their devotion to Chief Sootscale is proved.
Turning to one of his guards, "Chief Sootscale says Chief Sootscale, go and fetch Tartuk."
Returning after a minute or so, the guard is escorting a dark purple kobold who looks very agitated.
"Sootscale, why have you brought me here. Your antics have beleaguered me long enough, I've grown weary of - - -"
Tartuk just now seems to notice the party.
"You even are now recruiting the help of humans? You are truly pathetic Sootscale. Killing you will be a mercy."
Chief Sootscale shakes his head, "Chief Sootscale says Chief Sootscale, Chief Sootscale not understand Tartuk's big stupid words, but he kill you now until you die."
Instantly the room is filled with an explosion of fire where Sootscale stands. When the fireball clears, no sign of Chief Sootscale remains.
Tartuk lets out a loud laugh, "What a weak fool."
Turning to the party, "Now I think I'll kill you annoying little helpers."
Just then however Chief Sootscale appears suddenly behind Tartuk.
"Glory to Sootscale" , he whispers before the small warrior turns into a whirl of blades.
Dagger Slice: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33

Crit Dagger Slice : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Damage: 1d3 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Tartuk takes 87 damage. He dead.
The fight is over instantly as Tartuk is rended into pieces.
Two of Chief Sootscale's guard who had sprung into action as their Lord reappeared attempt to stab Chief Sootscale from behind.
But the kobold dances around their attacks, even when caught from behind.
He steps inside the slash of the first attacker and dives sideways, catching the guard under the shoulder, separating his arm and head from his body in one motion.
Then Chief Sootscale pirouettes through the air to catch the other kobold in the side of the head with his other blade.
The more dexterous fighters amongst you might find it hard not to be struck with envy. The small warrior king uses his body in such a way that you've never seen, throwing all his speed and body weight into jarring and abrupt movements that see his attack inflict horrendous damage. Indeed, we're you to come across the carnage he left of the three kobolds you might presume it to be the work of a warrior the likes of Sugua instead of the small chieftain.
This is something to be emulated.
The fight won, Chief Sootscale let's out a cry of victory as the cavern is filled with chants of "Ibahalii Vuthaternock" and the kobolds fall to their knees in devotion of their Lord.
The party is now LEVEL 3
