Here we can finalize our normal characters, figure out character sheets, and talk about team theme (or at least call dibs on colors and themes.) You don't have to make two aliases for this game, but if you can that would be appreciated.

Alaina is the "companion" mentioned in the spoiler. I wasn't sure what name to give. Sound and music are close enough, and some artists may argue it's a distinction without a difference. All praise be to Bjork.

The long flowery name is the eternal past lives name. It's entirely possible for your normal character to be named after your magical girl, especially with such a common name as Sakura. It would be like being named Mary. Alaina has the same name for both characters, but I think they are a special case.

Anyone with an approved character who has not posted yet can introduce their character, describe how they are getting to the mall, why they are there, what they are bringing, and which entry they are picking. I guess only the entryway is required. I'll describe what you see when you get there. The exceptions are the two homeless characters who start inside as described at the top of gameplay.

Yey! Posted in gameplay for the first time! I decided to go through the Southern entrance... but I guess I should have asked first since it may disrupt both Fleur's and Kiyomi's exchange (which is rather interesting if I may add) so if any of you see this just let me know if you'd like for me to take a different approach I guess I could edit the post quietly...

Korak: Alex and Sakura have both been making a beeline for the balcony. Sakura scaled the outside and came through the clothing store, and Alex came in through the bookstore and climbed the spiral ramp-case. Aliana has been running through the back end of the mall, and is in the shoe store on the same floor.

As her former teacher and elder I don't have to use an honorific right? and I should refer to her as Kurosawa correct? or Kurosawa-san? it doesn't feel right... the -san that is.

The suffix -chan indicates child if I recall correctly. Or you could get away with simply keeping it in English with a formal tone as, to my knowledge, none of us are native Japanese speakers.

Okay. I'm gonna do this for boredom reasons. This is everything I know about honorifics but isn't perfec .
Chan is used for children it becomes socially less acceptable for boys several years before girls. It is also fairly acceptable for friends to refer to female friends and girlfriends with it. It can also be used condescendingly.
San is respectful and used mostly formally or with non friends.
Sama is very respectful and acknowledges someone as greater than you.
Baka is insulting and equivalent to idiot or stupid. Its also a word on its own.
Senpai acknowledges someone as senior to you like a higher grade OE someone with seniority
Kouhai is the opposite of senpai.
Surname is the preferred form of address unless your with your friends. For instance You'd call me mika san on first meeting after awhile you might call me mika chan if we're friends. Then sakura chan. If we're very close you might call me sakura. Without permission or a long history not using honorifics is not just rude but extremely insulting.
Teme is a rude form of you.
Setting is definitely Japan as understood by thirteen otakus. I'm not going to call any of you on cultural eccentricities. My general policy is, whatever your character is, they are the go-to person on that field of information. If Alex tells me the American Navy has gold, blue, and red shirts and their boats carry photon torpedoes, I'll probably nod along, even knowing that's a Star Trek reference.
