Mel shakes herself slightly and stands supporting her own weight. Her voice a moment later is a little shaky and slightly confused, It was a close moment, I almost had the whole encampment rushing out to greet us. She give Alaric a odd smile, Apparently your undead disguise was genius, because they didn't believe me when I said we weren't undead, and that is what saved us. Much quieter, And them too for that matter.
We can search the camp, but we might want to deal with Chief Gutwad first.

Hrunndalf Jarlsson |

Hrunndalf mulls over Melinda's account of the events, then shakes his head as if to clear his mind of the matter. It need not make sense to be true.
"The undead took back their treasure? They appear to have retreated into the bog with their heavy load. Does that mean the goblins somehow stole it from them? Out of the swamp?"
"At any rate, we should investigate Gutwad's hut." He briskly walks to the hut so as not to waste the remaining duration of his spell.

Hrunndalf Jarlsson |

Hrunndalf pounds the haft of his spear against the door a few times, and calls out, "Chief Gutwad, we would like a word with you. Your people have not been harmed, and neither will you, lest you take arms against us." Maybe at least the chief knows some Taldane...

The Chief’s house isn’t hard to find – it’s by far the largest building in the village, tucked into a good defensive position in the southeast corner. To get to it, you need to skirt your way around a charred and demolished hut on the east side of the town.
From there, it’s a simple matter of climbing up onto the 5 foot high raised catwalks that crisscross the village. A catwalk takes you up to a set of double doors that front the large building. When you arrive, you discover that the doors are barred from the inside.
There is no response to Hrunndalf’s pounding on the door or words.
Myriana, to cover both the pool and the doors, you will need to stand by the demolished building, on the ground rather than on one of the catwalks. In any other place, other buildings will be in the way. However, the total "horizontal" distance between the double doors and the southern edge of the pool is only about 25 feet.

Melinda Sorn |

After waiting for quite a while after Hrunndalf knocks and calls out. Mel shrugs and steps closer to the door, and speaks in attempt to sound like a goblin, Kap kbar kbar. Kollha ħżiena diżgustanti marret. Inti toħroġ issa, jew tiegħi tikseb kap ġdid. Chiga gone.
Bluff for 'sounding' goblin 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS, DELETED POST:
You certainly do not see any windows on any part of the building you have seen (you haven't been around the back, but it looks like it backs against the palisade); the place was clearly designed with defense in mind.
It is possible to attempt a Disable Device against the door, and also possible to attempt to kick it in with a straight Strength check.

Myriana Bayden |

Myri turns to Hrunndalf, "Sorry, if you don't mind, I've just got to give it a try. If the locks damaged first, my way probably won't work afterwards. On the other hand, I can fail & bashing it in is still an option."
She gets up on the catwalk & kneels at the door.
Hrunndalf might as well do the strength check also, just in case I wasn't able to get it open. That way, next time Kyra posts hopefully one of them worked.

Myriana walks up to the doors and studies them for perhaps two seconds. Then she sticks her finger in the crack between the two doors and lifts the bar off its hooks on the other side. You hear it clatter to the ground, and the doors swing open.
On the other side, you see what is clearly a throne room. The walls are decorated with numerous poorly preserved horse and dog heads, along with other trophies like broken weapons, brine-pickled bodies of brutally slaughtered furry animals, and other bits of grisly ephemera. Against the southern wall is a throne – a rickety, 5-foot-tall wooden chair with a ladder built into the side – and in the throne is a corpulent goblin that it is not hard to guess must be Chief Gutwad. In front of him are a trio of other goblins that you strongly suspect are the goblin equivalent of Sexy Female Bodyguards.
It looks like Gutwad and his bodyguards had been in the act of cowering when the doors swung open, but as he looks up to see what lurks behind them, his expression changes and he unslings a bow.
"Dawk mhumiex bnedmin mejta!” he shrieks. “Dawk huma bnedmin jgħixu! Dawwar il-bnedmin li jgħixu fil-bnedmin mejta! Issa!"
This would be the time to roll initiative and declare actions.

On her turn, Mel lean forward (or move if need be) so that she can catch Chief Gutwad and as many of his guards in the 15' cone of a color spray. Prior to all the action, while everyone was talking, Lio was checking out the strange prints. Myriana can see growing frustration in her elven friend. Try as she might, Lio cannot recognize what made the tracks. This inability to identify creatures is really starting to annoy her, and thus she ignores her companions while she fumes, until they start moving into the village, at which point she follows them. This leaves her nearly last, next to the healer, as door to the Chief's hut is opened.
Action, 5 foot free back, to see if I can get a better shot though the door that way, and cast Aspect of the Falcon on myself.

Liothonae moves first, with lightning swiftness. She mutters mystic words to herself, then her eyes become wide and raptor-like, and she grows feathers on the sides of her head. She hops off of the catwalk and maneuvers near the destroyed hut, unslinging her bow as she does.
Liothonae, since your stated intent was to move to get a good angle for a shot, I used Most Advantageous Substitution to put you in a position where you could get one next turn, rather than having you take a five foot step, which would not have done so.
Hrunndalf stays where he is and swings his gusiarme in a crushing blow against the bodyguard in the middle of the room. He staves her head in before she even has a chance to move, and she drops to the ground. He readies his polearm against any other foes who might approach.
Gutwad, however, disdains to approach the northerner. Instead, he sneers at the human with at sneering sneer, and fires an arrow at Hrunndalf. Despite the shimmering field of energy protecting Hrunndalf, the arrow slams into his shoulder with a sickening crunch.
Hrunndalf takes 8 hp damage.
Hrunndalf, your Shield of Faith will continue to be up for this round and 2 subsequent rounds.
From the back, Alaric shouts, "Believe in your skills. Your blades and arrows will strike true. We fight them as one!" His words fill you with courage.
All of you gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.
Alaric, your initiative is 18.
On her turn, Melinda leans forward and says Enough, already. Just take a nap, okay? A A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from her hand, catching all three of the remaining goblins. Both of the bodyguards instantly fall unconscious, but Gutwad merely continues to sneer his sneer. Apparently, he is one of the “resistant goblins” Melinda was warned about.
Kalimac moves past his comrades and enters the room, weapon drawn, ready to enter the fray.
Myri flattens herself against the wall, allowing the others to pass. She then uses one side of the door as partial cover and tries to tag Gutwad with an arrow. However, her shot misses the goblin chieftain, even with the benefits of Alaric’s secular blessing.

Which should be a 20' move. She shouldn't provoke an attack of opportunity from Gutwad because bows don't threaten, but if she will use acrobatics for the five foot movement that would provoke (she should still be good movement wise). She is then going to use a attack action (while fighting defensively, -4 to hit, +2 dodge bonus to AC) to aid Kalimac's attack roll.
She will use her quarterstaff for the aiding attack. If Gutwad fires using his bow and provokes an attack (when she is next to him she will take it ~ assuming she is still alive at that point).
So in order,
Movement Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 vs Gutwad's CMD (if applicable)

Liothonae fires a shot at the goblin chieftain, her magically sharpened eyes aiding her arrow in its flight. But in the end, the press of people at the door makes it just a hair too difficult for her shot to strike true, and her arrow thunks into the wall just about Chief Gutwad’s head.
Hrunndalf knows he cannot take a second such arrow, but decides to be proactive about it. He closes the distance to Gutwad, dropping his greatspear and drawing his warhammer at the same time. Swinging a mighty blow at the goblin, he stands ready to follow up with a second one, should he let his guard down. He intends to lock him against the wall and prevent him from firing more arrows.
His attack connects, a mighty blow that smashes into the goblins jaw, and leaves his mouth bleeding and lacking a few teeth.
Gutwad snarls at the northerner, and pulls a firework into his lap from the side of his throne. It is much, MUCH bigger than the ones you saw the other goblins fire earlier. Gutwad spends his entire precious time lighting it, and the fuse catches and begins burning down. The wooden tube begins to shake and emit a handful of white sparks, shedding light like a torch.
Hrunndalf takes Gutwad’s lack of a defensive posture as an opportunity to attack again, but the swift goblin ducks beneath the blow as he fiddles with the fuse, and the blow fails to strike home.
Gutwad spits words at Melinda along with a fair bit of blood: “Inti taf xejn! Il-sigriet tal-qliezet ta 'taħt pjuttost kienet misruqa mill bniedem.”
Alaric moves to the door to take Hrunndalf’s newly vacated place. He unslings his crossbow, loads it and fires at Gutwad. But trying to hit Gutwad while avoiding Hrunndalf proves to be too difficult, and his shot flies wide in his effort to avoid impaling his comrade.
Melinda dashes into the room, taking a position next to Gutwad. He has no weapon ready with which to hit her, so she does not risk taking a blow. She readies her quarterstaff, but does not yet strike.
Suddenly, a booming voice is heard. "Chief Gutwad! Defend yourself! For I, Kalimac Proudfoot, am coming for you!" bellows Kalimac, issuing his Challenge at the goblin chief.
Allies of Kalimac will now receive a +1 circumstance bonus to melee attack rolls against Gutwad whenever he is threatening Gutwad.
Kalimac closes in on Gutwad and swings his sword at the fat chieftain. At that moment, Melinda brings her quarterstaff into play, attempting to distract Gutwad and aid Kalimac’s attack. But even with Melinda’s aid, magical enhancement, and flanking, the cunning goblin is able to avoid Kalimac’s strike.
Myri attempts to hit Gutwad with her bow one more time. But yet again, the press of the melee makes it impossible to aim, and the shot thuds into the throne instead of into the goblin.

Lio moves to her right in an attempt to get a better shot. However, there are simply too many people in the way, and hitting Gutwad without hitting them is a nearly impossible shot. Her arrow misses. Her expression is grim as the fight continues. She doesn't say anything, but rather just lines up another shot to try again ...
After his incomprehensible shout, Hrunndalf looks for a way to flank his foe, but the only two possible flanking positions are already occupied by Kalimac and Melinda. He opts to simply slam his warhammer into his foe another time, inflicting another dire wound with a crunch of the goblin’s bones.
Then the firework launches and slams directly into Hrunndalf. It explodes in a massive cascade of fire and sparks. Everyone except Liothonae is caught in the enormous fireball.
Gutwad’s save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27. Successful. He takes 2 hp of damage and is deafened.
Melinda’s save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20. Successful. She takes 2 hp of damage and is deafened.
Hrunndalf’s save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16. Successful (barely). He takes 2 hp of damage and is blinded. He is also at exactly 0 hp and is disabled.
Kalimac’s save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18. Successful. He takes 2 hp of damage and is deafened.
Alaric’s save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21. Successful. He takes 2 hp of damage and is deafened.
Myriana’s save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17. Successful. She takes 2 hp of damage and is deafened.
Gutwad himself tosses his bow to the ground and draws forth a spear. ”MEWT GĦALL-BNEDMIN!” he shouts.
He quickly glances at the foes around him. Hrunndalf, he decides, looks like he is about to topple over on his own. The unarmored teen girl to his left has not even tried to strike him, and he dismisses her with a glance. With a shrug, he turns and plunges his spear into Kalimac’s belly.
”Jew simpatizzanti tal-bniedem,” he says. ”Dan kollu tajjeb.”
Kalimac takes 7 hp damage.
Alaric, a hair too late, moves to put a wall between himself and any further fireworks. Since at least one more is clearly visible next to Gutwad’s throne, the tactic is entirely sensible. You get the uneasy sense that if that firework had been just a bit more tightly packed with explosives, or all of you had not been quite so light on your feet, it very well could have been Liothonae facing Gutwad alone right now. With, admittedly, a much clearer field of fire for her bow.
Kalimac clutches at the wound in his stomach. Although he is better off than the tottering Hrunndalf, he is not far from slipping unconscious either. Rather than attacking, he calls out in a voice he cannot himself hear, "Friends! If we surround Gutwad we shall more effectively take him down!" says Kalimac.
Kalimac use his Tactician extraordinary ability to grant Precise Strike to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear him, granting an extra 1d6 points of precision damage when flanking, with each successful melee attack.
Unfortunately, Kalimac has no way of knowing that those who can see him right now cannot hear him, and those who can hear him cannot see him. Only Liothonae can potentially benefit from Kalimac’s tactical genius until their eyes clear or the ringing in their ears stops.
Melinda looks at the massive wounds that Gutwad's arrow caused to Hrunndalf, and that his spear caused to Kalimac. No this wouldn't do. Mewt inti regħba Żrinġ ftit, she says. Int u qliezet ta 'taħt tiegħek tkun kkritikat.
Mel throws caution to the wind and ceases to fight in a manner that protects herself, instead exposing her unarmored torso to a potentially deadly spear thrust should Gutwad choose to turn his attentions to her next round. She swings her quarterstaff at him ...
And connects! Without the aid of both Alaric's secular blessing and Kalimac’s Challenge made the round previous, she surely would have missed, but the Halfing and cleric's decision to benefit their allies has a stunning result – and Gutwad has paid dearly for his decision to ignore the flanker on his left. An expression of surprise crosses his face as the heavy wood impacts the back of his neck. There is a crunch, and Gutwad tumbles off of his throne.
Myriana, who had just finally lined up a perfect shot with her bow that she feels certain would have dramatically arced across the room and hit Gutwad right in the eye, may perhaps feel the faintest flicker of disappointment as she lowers her bow.
(A natural 20 that was not to be.)
Combat rounds are over. Non-initiative time begins again.
