Half-Elf Male Cleric (Pharasma) 5 - HP: 34/34; AC17, T10, FF17; F+5,R+1,W+8; Per +9; Init +4

Valen does his best to follow to the site. Seeing Madeline's somewhat awkward attempt to make her way, he offers to take her book and pencil for the walk/travel to free up her hands.

Not sure - based on Lazne's description - if we are walking; riding a boat; etc.

Madeline:
Fair enough. Smith will be weaker for the experience, however. Depending on the actual distance you travel, that is.

Lazne leads you to a pair of set of boats. He calls for several more boatmen, each who come armed with a long spear and some rope. When he has enough men, they lead you down into the boats. The boats are small and barely fit two men. It takes as many boats as there are members in your group, but once the logistics are hammered out, you depart.

The Boneyard is about a mile north of the small village and it takes an hour or so of navigating the strange, smelly swamps to reach it.

A tiny, miserable island rises from the swamp, a tangle of trees covering its dour, reed-choked surface. Hundreds of fetishes hang from the trees—simple, roughly humanoid figures made of sticks and bound with twine. Larger fetishes are planted in the ground on various parts of the island, leaning drunkenly in the soft mud. A large nest built of sodden swamp wood sits high in the boughs of a trio of tangled trees on the northwest side of the isle.

Madeline will offer an arm to Valen's wonderful, gentlemanly offer of helping her to the boats.

Madeline steps delicately into the small wooden coracle on offer and sits primly, if a little stiffly, in the very center. Hardy seeming even to breath as the group makes its way to the 'Boneyard'.

Once there, she can't but help to begin taking notes again,

"Fascinating..." She points with the end of her pencil,

"I say? What's that? Over there?" She indicates the,

"Large nest built of sodden swamp wood sits high in the boughs of a trio of tangled trees on the northwest side of the isle."

She looks about for Alexa..

Male Varisian (Ustalavic) Archivist 5; hp 33/33; AC 16; TAC 12; FF 14; F +2; R +6; W +3; Perc +5; Init +2

Vaghn excitedly watches the strange landscape go by, seemingly oblivious to the rank smells and annoying bugs. When they arrive at their destination and Madeline asks her question, he peers in the direction she is pointing to see what caught her interest.

Just how large is large? Like, whooping crane's nest large? Or dragon's nest large?

Also, Knowledge (local) 19 and (religion) 21; do these fetishes all seem to be normal for burial grounds of the region?

Perception1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6...and completely fails to notice the giant leach eating the boatman right beside him... :P

Female Human (Varisian(Ustalav)) Druid(Menhir Savant)/4 - Monk/1 HP: 33/36; AC16, T15, FF15; F+7,R+5,W+11; Per +13; Init +3

Knowledge(nature): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

Survival: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Alexa looks at the nest, but does not really know what it is. Nonetheless, she continues to watch the shore to see if there is anything there or if there are any tracks or other sign of what might live in the next.

Not sure which skills are necessary, so figured I would toss up all three.
