I’ve always wanted to enter the Magaambyan Arcanist whatever prestige class. I’m thinking about what might be the best entry point. I’ve been thinking quite a bit about maybe using a Transmuter for five levels to gain entry.

Then, I’ve been thinking about an Evoker as well, but that is probably my last choice as Alie was so evocation/disintegrate focused in the other campaign.

Do you all have any thoughts? I’m pretty sure I want to play a wizard as the base.

The eldritch archer (magus archetype) looks cool, but since it’s not a pure wizard, it may not be what you are looking for.


The more I think about it, the more I am thinking to just run a basic transmuter. We have some Melee monsters, more buffing I do to you all, the better, I think. I’ll take some enchantments as a secondary focus, if my plans don’t change.

Here is my rough draft of a Transmuter Wizard. I’m taking suggestions on my Spell choices.

Amiya is in town to find her fortune. She’s heard of artifacts, but isn’t completely driven by them like Eli was.

Generally looks good and useful! Only spell that strikes me as possibly unnecessary is enlarge person -- since Bar and I both have artifacts with similar abilities (and Falric I think generally likes staying small?) you might be able to free up a slot there?

GM, are you thinking to pause while Falric's out of town/touch, or continue for now?

Yeah, I was thinking that there are 2 more encounters before you reach the end of this scene and can meet Amyia and Falric with his +11 or +12 to initiative will go first anyway, so was holding off until he came back. Thoughts?

Question, DM. Uskroth's Armor's description says "...Once per day on command, the armor can bestow upon its wearer the effects of righteous might for 5 rounds..."

Since it's "on command", would it be a free action to invoke? Or does it cost some other type of action to use the ability?

Is an "ironwood breastplate" a permanent casting of the ironwood spell? Or some separate thing? If nobody else wants, I'll take that!

I wouldn’t think the group would be willing to share their well earned treasure with an unknown just yet.

If so, I’d take some of the Arcane gear, but I figure it wouldn’t be right just yet.

Sorry for being so silent the last week guys! Just been considering all the loot that we've found I guess.

I'm tempted to claim the keen scythe, but I've already spent several feats getting Bar good with the dorn dergar, so it feels like it would be a waste to switch over to a different weapon. Though it wouldn't hurt to have the scythe as a backup I guess.

As far as everything else goes, Barundar could use the orc-bane arrows, the orc-slaying arrow, and the ring of protection.

What range is the giant at to me? Since I've I made the dorn dergar a reach weapon I can five-foot and full attack without provoking if she's within 15'.

Right now, the giant, after the 5' step, is 20' away from Bar and 15' away from Falric. The giant has 10' reach as does Bar, so Bar can move up 10' and attack without provoking but will get only one attack.
