Check the "How to format your Text" spoiler (where it says "show" click on dat ting (below the box where you are typing in your post).
It explains a lot of formatting tips,
also there are some great Play By Post guides, laying about, here, somewhere (I'll try to find you some link-y type things to help you out).

Thanks I updated my first post with those format options.
Those format option are very powerfull, I made some primitive status to include in my posts during game

Okay, here's Jelani's alias. Had all the crunch typed out late last night, but didn't save it often enough and the site ate it. So I need to redo it when I have the time.

Godwin Everlin |

Please don't overlook the Campaign Information section of this game and a very important house rule regarding Perception and Intuition.
I thought that just looking around for factual things following militia procedure would be int and thus perception based? While having a feeling that something is wrong would be wisdom and thus intuition based

I am ready to proceed.

Surtessh Ssaann |
What do we need to roll to make the dungeon?

Terquem |
The Dungeon will be created using a modified version of the tables that appeared in the old Dungeon master's Guide. Mostly it is d20 and d100 rolls (d6 for a few). I would like to see players take turns rolling, but if things slow down you might see me make several rolls in a row
You can skim through here
to get a feel for how it works
This is the SAME dungeon that two other groups are already in, so there is a small possibility of running into other groups of Player Characters.
When we have all the players ready to go I will open the game thread with a description of the Starting Area, and lay out the first options.

Surtessh Ssaann |
Maptool isn't too bad to learn, I taught myself. There are lots of tutorials on Youtube. If you're just making pretty standard dungeon stuff it shouldn't be very difficult at all :) Good luck!

Olwyn Unseelie |

Olwyn here, and ready to go. All info and gear in the alias. My faithful donkey, Llywelyn, is piled on with my witch's kit, while I have my trusty blackthorn staff and crossbow at hand.
On person: Hedgehog, spell components (both in pouches), heavy crossbow with 20 bolts, Harrow deck, two ioun torches (stones I can light up and have orbit and object), quarter staff, backpack, ink/ink pen, parchment, chalk (10), trail rations (1 day)
In saddlebags of donkey: bit, harness, feed (5 days), a bedroll, candles (10), a flint and steel, an iron pot, a mess kit, soap, torches (10), trail rations (4 days), and a waterskin.
Level 0: Dancing Lights, Daze, Detect Magic
Level 1: Ear-Piercing Scream, Enlarge Person, Cure Light Wounds

Surtessh Ssaann |
Hope this gets started soon...who else are we waiting on?

Surtessh Ssaann |
Hey, the maps don't have to be pretty. That's what our imaginations are for. The maps are just to know where enemies/terrain features are. Good on you for taking the leap into maptools. My #1 tip on that is download all the stuff in the File->add resource to library->RPTools gallery. That should give you a lot of dungeon tiles and basic stuff to work with.
MapTool Resources, the large Torrent file listed partway down that page has virtually every object you could possibly need in a fantasy game in it.
Here's another good page with tutorials.

Surtessh Ssaann |
You can just right click and save the image I linked to, and then use TokenTool to make a token out of it. Then save the token somewhere, and add the file to your MapTool resource library. I just made a folder called PC Tokens and added the folder to my resource library, then whenever I make a new token put it in one easy to find place.
Edit:Changed my revelation because I realized I had misread the one I had before.

Surtessh Ssaann |
No, it does not belong to me. It belongs to the guy who's page it's on on Deviantart. I don't think anyone will make a fuss though, you modified the image into something else, and we're only using it privately.

I would like to see everyone get a chance to roll on the Appendix "A" tables as we create the Dungeon, so, borrowing from the order in which people were ready, I would like to see players follow this
Goodwin
Surtessh
Yurian
Olwyn
Chyrri
Felicia
when I ask for someone to go to the discussion thread and roll a die (I'll always tell you what you are rolling for, and what kind of die to roll).
If a player doesn't make the roll in a reasonable amount of time (ten minutes, jk, how about two hours?) I will make it for them, and we'll skip to the next player for the next roll.
any questions?

GMT+8 :P Africa or Eastern Europe is only halfway on the "wrong" side of the world. Whatever that means. *I* am on the opposite side of the world from 'Murrica.

Terquem |
Here is a crude map showing the party (not the bodies discovered)and the various doors (green doors are wood, yellow doors are stone)and Olwyn's Donkey
And if anyone is curious here is a sample of the Document I am working on Appendix "A", it is unfinished (hey! I'm working on it)- feedback is always appreciated

Godwin Everlin |

you sir, are on the wrong side of the planet
In summer time am I GMT+2 otherwise GMT+1.
And if anyone is curious here is a sample of the Document I am working on Appendix "A", it is unfinished (hey! I'm working on it)- feedback is always appreciated
So I shall need to roll on a d20, I shall maybe already roll on the unexplored area so you don't have to wait later:
Appendix A: 1d20 ⇒ 9 There is a Door.

Terquem |
Well that's the general idea, but right now your group is in an area where some things have already been defined, so I'll keep that roll for the next unknown thing, which will be, "What's on the other side of the door your party decides to open?"
So for instance a roll of “9” on Table II. C. (Space beyond Door is,) indicates a Stair, so that takes us to Table III. B. and the next available player should roll a d20 on that table to determine where the stair goes, and a second d20 on Table III. A. to determine the width (then I will roll a d12, to determine if it is a “trick” stair)
Got it?
Normally I will tell you what it is you are rolling for, so be expecting that.

Terquem |
Okay Adventurers!
The Magical Door you are facing is a "Stone Door". From the guidelines of Appendix "A", all doors that are not locked, are stuck, and require a Strength Check to open. From the Pathfinder PRD a Stone Door requires a Strength Check of 28 to open. Now I don't think any of you have a +8 Strength Bonus, so that means it is going to take at least two of you to open this door. As soon as two players declare their intention of working together to open the door, we can proceed.

Terquem |
Table I. A.
Doors?: 1d20 ⇒ 15
There is only one door, is it on the left, the right, or ahead?
Door location: 1d20 ⇒ 15
It is straight ahead, at the end of the 30 extra feet of the passage, and the passage ends.
What kind of door is it?: 1d20 ⇒ 9
It is a Good Wooden Door
Is it locked?: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Is it Trapped: 1d20 ⇒ 12
You will have to examine the door, to find out if it is Locked or Trapped

Surtessh Ssaann |
Well the fact that you guys are all online while I'm sleeping pretty much means I'll never get to roll :P

Surtessh Ssaann |
Cool 1d20 ⇒ 14
