”Thanks, Nigel. It’s very appreciated. I hope everyone’s okay, I think Ringo and I are feeling the effects of that room - there was something wrong with the air.” He and Ringo both cough and try to breathe deeply to recover but no no avail.

He then hugs the elk’s neck.
Now
Visibly tired, Gren and Ringo maneuvered through the tunnel to the north to the other side of Hedran. As he went, he briefly has a set of translucent bull’s horns appear on his head, and he looks a little stronger. He takes a Glaive swing at the serpentfolk past Hedran, some of his strength having returned to him through his determination (and connection to the wild).

Hedran swings the sword in both hands, aiming at the serpent's midsection. Weasel whimpers.

Grenwold knows that the creature is a gibbering mouther.
As a free action, a gibbering mouther can emit a cacophony of maddening sound. All creatures other than gibbering mouthers within 60 feet must succeed on a Will save or be confused for 1 round. This is a mind-affecting compulsion insanity effect. A creature that saves cannot be affected by the same mouther’s gibbering for 24 hours. The save DC is Constitution-based.
It has 5 DR/Bludgeoning.

Urgh, forgot heightened awareness would have worn out after 30 min. Lets get to gibbering mouthers turn, then

Gren says, ”Use bludgeoning, never piercing, don’t get engobbled!” and then, ensuring he’s not within gibberish reach, casts bless on the party. He also says something in gnomish:
And a spectral turtle shell appears briefly before disappearing.
Yeah, awareness wore off - I adjusted my alias to reflect this. Fixing up the alias for the turtle focus now.

The following morning, they decide to check out the western fork.

A partial collapse mars the symmetry of this large, circular chamber. Crude carvings of reptilian heads and bodies cover the wall, snaking around empty sockets in the stone walls. A thin, bluish mist hovers in the air, swirling gently. The mist rises about halfway up the walls, like a diaphanous ocean. An animated cluster of translucent crystals shaped disturbingly like a gemstone scorpion scuttles along the floor, and wags its tail excitedly at the party while making a rumbling noise.
