OR, maybe we can do that retroactively.

TRO, I've got a question concerning whether Relas is actually banished from the damage he just took or not; I posted it in the Discussion Thread since Fijit was curious about it too.

jean:
There is some strong necromantic energy here. And I mean really strong. You have no clue what sort of spell was cast here because power of the spell is way out of your league, but it is most certainly ancient and from a source more powerful than you or any of your instructors have ever encountered. The creature that was just killed seems to radiate the energy, and with that much ancient energy you can be certain of this: Hetulath cannot be slain by mere physical or even magical means. It's only a matter of time before he regenerates and comes for you all.

Askra finds two odd looking blades that are effectively Masterwork Short Swords, two javelin, 40gp, and a magical cloak!

She grunts at Jean, who is studying the corpse as well with shaking hands and a furrowed brow. She let Askra know that it's a Cloak of Resistance +1.

Retcon: The party remembers a door in area B14 with a black glowing panel near the door. The hallway in that area leads to a dead end. Refer to the battle map for reference.

With great care Ask removes the cloak and coin and lays them on the ground for the group to decide on.

So how do we "divide" the cloak? Tear it into strips to wear as Rambo headbands? Ask killed the creature, but she isn't one to the the spoils alone…after all, we're a team right?

Then, cross legged she sets about very carefully removing the creature's head.

Yup. Ask is one of those.

Palomia carefully drags Relas a bit out of the way of the spreading pool of blood. She looks up and gives Askra a dirty look...

GM FOC Battle Map | | CTHX Battle Map | | GGWW Battle Map

sorry guys, it looks like we're a bit stuck so i'm going to move us right along.

Jean stands up and calls out to Askra and Kaad.

"Askra, if you take part of that creature with us you are risking our lives. This is not the kind of magic that you can just toy with. Kaad, stop wasting your breath, it doesn't matter if you grind that thing's bones to dust. Whats worse is that that device on the ceiling means someone knows exactly where we are. And Fijit, I've studied plenty about magic with Khonnir, and even some things he wasn't willing to study, trust me, we need to leave until we can find out more about this."

Figit cringes looking at the corpse as she listens to Jean.

"Well how about that! Ya know, I just remembered we DID pass by a door with a black panel. Oh, sorry Palo. Here I'll fix Relas up for ye."

Figit hits Relas with the Wand of Cure Light Wounds.

Relas slowly rises and shakes his head.

@Jean please note the gold spent for the wand, we havent done that yet, I believe everyone pitched in. Also, someone please keep track of the charges.

Askra gives Jean a dirty look, then looks down at her blood soaked head.
"Welp, it's not too pretty anyway is it?"
Askra drops the head and pats some blood off her clothes.
"By the way, is anyone else hungry?"

Kaad looks at Jean then back down at the corpse. He smashes it one more time before hefting his hammer over his shoulder and grumbling as he heads towards the exit. The party leaves the room and takes a left down the hallway past the room with the lightly humming purple rectangle and the glowing table. Fidget leads them to a doorway with a black panel.

"Black panel, black card."
She says then swipes the card and the door quickly slides open.

A large metal desk with blinking lights and strange glowing panels sits atop a raised area on the east side of this room near a circular table. Two couches covered with black material sit to the south a pair of black metal pillars. Splatters of dried blood stain the floor and walls near a pair of doors to the north, while here and there patches of rust-red mold and fungus cling to the southern wall. The room itself is brightly lit by glowing panels on the ceiling.
