Y'all may post out of order if you like =)
Jean Antonio
Before they attack, maybe TRO should do the reflex save first since the creature being prone is potentially a direct effect of my Grease spell. That could help a lot for combat.
OR, maybe we can do that retroactively.
Askra Taw
Askra thinks momentarily about her gruh-nayd, but is unsure about what exactly it does, or how big the supposed blast would be. She merely moves to reposition, hoping to gain an advantage…
Move Action: Move to flank with Kaad or anyone else.
Standard Action Attack!!
Chokk!!!: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 21 [+2 BAB, +2 Str, +1 studied target, +2 flank]
Shikk!!!: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 + 1 = 10 [two handed Str, studied target]
TheRiverOcean
ref save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Hetulath falls prone. Askra and Kaad hit him hard, splitting skin and cracking bone.
Hetulath stands up, snarls, and attacks Kaad ferociously.
sword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
sword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
slam: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (3) + 4 = 15
Relas
Having been unceremoniously tossed aside after receiving grievous injuries from the four-armed creature, Relas' form lies still and unmoving except for a shallow breath here and there.
Stabilize: 1d20 - 10 ⇒ (20) - 10 = 10
Perhaps as a result of how he landed or maybe just purely from luck, his wounds seem to slow their bleeding.
Holy crap, didn't think he'd actually make his roll.
Palomia Kasic
Palomia lets out a yell of rage and frustration at seeing first Relas and then Kaad both fall under the creature's onslaught. "G********! I hope Askra gives you enough new holes to go with those arms, you FREAK!"
Gambling on the monstrosity turning it's attention to Askra as the next immediate threat, Palomia shifts behind her and does her best to help the Kellid woman by trying to distract the thing.
Aid Another: Askra (AC): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Jean Antonio
I think you guys can just roll the AoO attacks either way.
Try and stop this! Jean waves her hand in front of the creature as she throws a piece of cotton at its head. The cotton explodes in a puff of smoke which the creature inhales, trying to lull it into a Daze.
Will save to negate (DC14).

Kadd is right
Relas clutches to the material plane with incredible constitution!
Kadd misses his chance to slay the creature, but Askra, with the help of Palomia, takes her swing.
Swing: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6) + 3 + 1 = 11
Askra lays out the creature before it has the chance to assail Kaad. The creature's eyes glow green as it falls, just as the skeletons from the previous excursion.
@Jean you may take back your spent spell.
@everyone you may perception the room and if you like, you may Kn Arcana or Kn Religion
Palomia Kasic
"Whew..." Palomia gasps with relief as the creature finally falls to Askra's blade. She slumps down on the floor next to Relas, still unconscious and badly wounded, but still clinging to existence. Even though the logical part of her brain knew that Relas couldn't truly 'die', it was still traumatic to witness him take such a vicious beating. "Okay, let's see if we can get you back on your feet..." she murmurs as she begins to channel a spell. Anyone who happens to be watching observes as Relas' wounds begin to mend and knit...while at the same time, Palomia grows paler.
Life Conduit: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Though he looks some improved by Palomia's actions, the giant cat creature still remains unconscious.
Casting Life Conduit, transferring some of Palo's HPs to Relas.
TheRiverOcean
Fijit discovers a smooth card with a black stripe among the rubble on a glass table. Relas' wounds close, but he still struggles to wake.
Jean Antonio
It's a level 0, so no worries. :)
Wow Askra, that how did you do that? Jean stares wonderingly. Suddenly shaking her head she looks around the place. Thinking that the danger has passed, she takes her time looking around.
Taking 10 on Knowledge checks for 19 (Arcana/Engineering/Local)
Askra Taw
Askra is momentarily shocked by her own skill, but doesn't let it show. She nods to Kaad, and all-business now sheathes her blade. She rummages around in the creature's rags/clothing, and examines its blades - commenting matter of factly to Jean's question.
"I saw it rise, and…mashed it."
@TRO - Go team Askra! Fantastic roll!!!! But by my count it should have been +9 not +12*…Is that still a hit?
*[+2 BAB, +2 Str, +1 studied target, +2 flank, +2 Aid Another]
If the creature is down, does Askra find anything interesting in its gear/swords/weapons etc?
Fijit Doohickey
Fijit examines both sides of the black striped card and then places it in her pouch with the other ones. Drawing the cure light wand, she ministers Kaad's injuries.
Cure Light Wounds Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"There you go Kaad. We haven't passed any black paneled doors have we?"
TheRiverOcean
Askra finds two odd looking blades that are effectively Masterwork Short Swords, two javelin, 40gp, and a magical cloak!
She grunts at Jean, who is studying the corpse as well with shaking hands and a furrowed brow. She let Askra know that it's a Cloak of Resistance +1.
Retcon: The party remembers a door in area B14 with a black glowing panel near the door. The hallway in that area leads to a dead end. Refer to the battle map for reference.
@Askra +2 prone target, -4 to target's AC. You're fine =]
Askra Taw
Ask regards the blades with a critical eye, balancing them and giving them each an experimental swing. She shrugs and stows them and the javelins.
Can never have enough pigstickers….
With great care Ask removes the cloak and coin and lays them on the ground for the group to decide on.
So how do we "divide" the cloak? Tear it into strips to wear as Rambo headbands? Ask killed the creature, but she isn't one to the the spoils alone…after all, we're a team right?
Then, cross legged she sets about very carefully removing the creature's head.
Yup. Ask is one of those.
Jean Antonio
Jean's eyes widen when she feels the strong necromantic energies around her. Uh... guys. I think this creature is going to come back alive soon. He's regenerating and no magic or weapon can stop it. We'd better get out of here fast!
Palomia Kasic
Palomia, still kneeling next to Relas, looks up, surprised at Jean's sudden alarm. She's scared...she's telling the truth, no way she's got it wrong!
"Then either help me get Relas on his feet again, or...or I can send him away for now. But he'll still be in this shape the next time I call on him," she says, shaking her head.
TheRiverOcean
Askra removes the creatures head, covering herself with dark bronze blood. After carving through the skin and cracking the base of the neck, the creatures head snaps off and blood gushed out covering much of the floor. Kaad pounds the creature's body with a hammer.
@Kaad yes, you may do as you please with the corpse as well.
Palomia carefully drags Relas a bit out of the way of the spreading pool of blood. She looks up and gives Askra a dirty look...
Palomia Kasic
As Askra's work on the creature sends blood pooling and splattering around the immediate vicinity, Palomia starts to speak. "Is that really necess..." she suddenly stops and stares at the creature's severed head, now in Askra's hands. Her face pales.
"It just...looked at me and smiled, like there's some great big joke and it's the only one who gets the punchline..."
Askra Taw
Satisfied with her grim work, Ask takes a while to register Jean's warning. She holds the grisly trophy up to the learned woman.
"Um, so is this going to wake up and try to bite its way out of my pack Jean?" - not for the first time the Kellid seems completely unsure of the situation.
Askra Taw
Askra juts her bottom lip in thought as she watches Kaad's mighty thews appreciatively.
[b]"I'm not so sure I want to do that. Having the head might be useful - maybe if it reforms we can keep it quiescent by keeping the head in a... box? I'd be curious to see just how it reforms. Jean?[b]"
Askra Taw
Ask just stares in surprise, clearly unsure and waiting for Jean to confirm or deny possession, resurrections or the possibility of a box being useful.
Palomia Kasic
Palomia simply gapes in amazement at the bizarre turn things have taken. They're crazy...they're all crazy and we're all going to die down here... she thinks, almost detachedly.
"Hello? If we're going to sit here and wait for that thing to revive, would someone pass me that wand so I can get Relas back on his feet? I'd like to have a fighting chance of living the next time around..."
TheRiverOcean
sorry guys, it looks like we're a bit stuck so i'm going to move us right along.
Jean stands up and calls out to Askra and Kaad.
"Askra, if you take part of that creature with us you are risking our lives. This is not the kind of magic that you can just toy with. Kaad, stop wasting your breath, it doesn't matter if you grind that thing's bones to dust. Whats worse is that that device on the ceiling means someone knows exactly where we are. And Fijit, I've studied plenty about magic with Khonnir, and even some things he wasn't willing to study, trust me, we need to leave until we can find out more about this."
Figit cringes looking at the corpse as she listens to Jean.
"Well how about that! Ya know, I just remembered we DID pass by a door with a black panel. Oh, sorry Palo. Here I'll fix Relas up for ye."
Figit hits Relas with the Wand of Cure Light Wounds.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Relas slowly rises and shakes his head.
@Jean please note the gold spent for the wand, we havent done that yet, I believe everyone pitched in. Also, someone please keep track of the charges.
Askra gives Jean a dirty look, then looks down at her blood soaked head.
"Welp, it's not too pretty anyway is it?"
Askra drops the head and pats some blood off her clothes.
"By the way, is anyone else hungry?"
Kaad looks at Jean then back down at the corpse. He smashes it one more time before hefting his hammer over his shoulder and grumbling as he heads towards the exit. The party leaves the room and takes a left down the hallway past the room with the lightly humming purple rectangle and the glowing table. Fidget leads them to a doorway with a black panel.
"Black panel, black card."
She says then swipes the card and the door quickly slides open.
A large metal desk with blinking lights and strange glowing panels sits atop a raised area on the east side of this room near a circular table. Two couches covered with black material sit to the south a pair of black metal pillars. Splatters of dried blood stain the floor and walls near a pair of doors to the north, while here and there patches of rust-red mold and fungus cling to the southern wall. The room itself is brightly lit by glowing panels on the ceiling.
Palomia Kasic
Palomia seems relieved to have Relas back on his feet again, even in his battered state. "At least now we have a chance if that thing comes back," she mutters. She then raises her voice and adds, "Is there any way to lock that door behind us, maybe slow it down?"
-Posted with Wayfinder
Askra Taw
Ask sees no-one else is particularly hungry and shrugs.
"At least when it….returns…..it won't have its gear…..riiiiiight" Ask asks Jean again, feeling confident in the girl's knowledge.
BTW - we still have a cloak of protection +1 up for grabs…
Relas
I think Jean has the lowest AC at 12. And no, I think there was a stationary device in that last room with the big guy.
"Ugh...I don't think I've ever taken a beating like I have since we came to Torch...goblins and idiot highwaymen seem like a walk in the park to deal with now," Relas says, wincing as he gingerly pads over to the couches and hops up on one.
Fijit Doohickey
Fijit walks over to the metal desk, entranced by the blinking lights,
Knowledge Engineering: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
but actually mindful of any potential traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
TheRiverOcean
Fijit looks into the panels near the desk and sees lights and strange symbols flashing in an apparently random order. A type of hologram is also on the desk, showing hazy and fuzzy images of what look like rooms and every now and then a blur of tentacles flashes.
To the right of the desk is a door with a brown panel, past the desk and directly across from the entrance are two double doors, also with a brown panel.
Kaad looks over near Palomia and sees that the blood on the floor seems to continue past another door with a brown panel.
@Kaad no, this is a different room. I'm going to make up a map tonight so things make sense!
Palomia Kasic
Because I'm dumb...
Since she's so far been unable to make any sense of the strange devices they've stumbled across, Palomia decides to let Jean and Fijit focus on such things, while she tries to put herself and what she knows to other uses. Kneeling down, she tries to get a better look at the splattered blood - what did it belong to? How old were the splatters?
