Yeah, I wasn't planning on stripping his copse or anything. In fact, he's got a bag of holding, so we could conceivably bring him back to Golarion at some point to bury him, although without a gentle repose spell, that could be kind of gross.

It's been a great summer for me. I hope everyone else is enjoying it as well. Also a big cheer for Trout for running such a fun game. I know it can be a lot of work, but it's totally worth it.

Arasmes Silvertongue |

And thank you, Drovya, you flatter me.
Not really. The game actually is pretty fun and awesome.
..
.
And, sorry everyone for Arasmes being what's probably overly nice to the (very Evil!) petitioner (and being distracted by it)...but c'mon, he's a priest of Sarenrae. He thinks he can redeem anyone, at least in theory.

Kanthuun |

I thought that petitioner's deaths led them to just dissipate and go onwards. (To the Negative Material Plane for evil ones, unfortunately.)
Is there redemption in Hell? A very metaphysical question--Larry Niven had one answer. :)

The Elusive Trout |

Actually, even evil petitioners return to the positive energy plane when they die, if they aren't creating another outsider with their death; This is in keeping with Golarion canon. It's very His Dark Materials. Every new birth gets its soulstuff from the positive energy plane, too.
Pardon me. I am working on another post, too, but I like these discussions while I'm savoring dialogue. Who is Larry Niven, by the way?

Kanthuun |

Larry Niven is required sci-fi reading; read Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers, and The Integral Trees. Others in those series aren't as good. World of Ptaavs is pretty good. And...his 'reinterpretation' of Dante's Inferno is fascinating.

The Elusive Trout |

In keeping with Arasmes diplomatic approach, I do have to add that the scar of the action of suicide would further dot the plane. The despair of these creatures remains behind as part of the fabric of the plane and can create a concentration of negative energy, ironically enough, so part of your observation is correct, Kanthuun.

Ah. I read the Inferno old school style... wonder what the 'new' one's got.

Same here. Sophomore year of college had an excellent reading list.

Drovya Gregorovitch |

We're inside of a daemonic tree, the space we're in is roughly 20*20*20. There are fissures pumping out some nasty smoke. There is a dead petitioner, a live petitioner, and the head of a vulnadaemon. Rogar's remains are also inside, and there is the corpse of a 3rd petitioner in the doorway. There are also some soul gems that were left behind when Talon killed a cacodaemon.
I hope that helps.

Drovya Gregorovitch |

Maybe go back to where you guys were when the battle started. Baema will probably stick around for a bit longer, and we might still be able to find the wayfinder.

Drovya Gregorovitch |

So, uh, what are we doing guys? Should we detect magic on the loot to see if any of it is fancy (beside the awesomely fancy stone that is) before we head out after the wayfinder?

Talon Skyfall |

Sounds good.

Drovya Gregorovitch |

Hey Trout? How are we handling xp? Are we on the medium advancement track? Are you just going to tell us when to level up? Just curious.

Drovya Gregorovitch |

Hiya Voomer! Welcome! Can you tell us what sort of character you're going to be playing, or is it a surprise?

The Elusive Trout |

I made you guys head downstairs, and I gave you the leads, but I'm waiting on the players (I can't just do the last time because this choice is open-ended).
D: I was afraid you all just stopped wanting to play and/or died by rabbit.
I'm waiting on Voomer's character nitty gritty. It's due within the next three days or so.
And Daemon ponies are nightmares. XDD They're more bony than brony, to be sure.
It's time to level up(as I might have hinted at) as soon as you choose a course of action. Need you to be up to snuff if you're going to enjoy Abaddon's wonderment.
