It can be hugely rewarding...or hugely frustrating. At that age, the kids literally don't know what's good for them. They shoot themselves in the foot making poor choices with bad long term consequences because they can't see that far ahead.
And they never...EVER...stop talking. Ever!
At least here in North America where kids are coddled to the point they never have to take responsibility for anything. If you're someplace more European, that part might not be as bad.
In the end, however, glimmers of adulthood start to appear when they start coming out the other side of junior school. That's the rewarding part, when they start learning from the mistakes they made and the smart ones come to realize how lucky they are that we chose to be patient with them instead of taking them out back and beating sense into them.

Dangnabit, Kanthuun, now all I can think of for the sorcerer's voice in my head is this.

Rohini Soni |

I suspected not, but since no climbers were speaking up and things were moving quickly, and Rohini isn't yet at a place where she's going to suggest that another party member climb the wall or that the party pulls a mystery lever. Fortunately, Kanthuun can cast the spell a few times a day. Rohini can only cast it once a day.

I'm just too paranoid to pull the lever that the GM points out several times, not that I think our GM would pull any sneaky tricks on us or anything ridiculous like that.

Sorry about the posting delay guys. We had my son's baptism this weekend and with all the family around I didn't have any time for posting.

The Elusive Trout |

No problem! I've actually been pretty busy these last few days. For the next two weeks, I'm teaching Sunday School for 4-year olds, I've had to write real lesson plans for the first time... for three different teachers, three different formats, and I'm overthinking it. Don't overthink it, right, Nazard? Nobody expects me to come up with a revolutionary way to teach the present progressive tense...And a lesson plan doesn't have to have as much forethought in it as the Constitution.
Anyway. Tomorrow I need to write two more and a journal entry for something... Oh! And maybe make a poster heading and get a passport photo taken. I also need to look up postmodern authentic art education so I can incorporate it in something...
The reason I was rushing you all before was because I had a little more spare time and I wanted to seize it while I had it. Even now, I've committed myself to more stuff, but I'm getting better at time management, I think.
I'll still try to post once per day. I may be unable to on Friday, however(unless it's late at night, like now).

Rohini Soni |

I'm happy with whatever pace works out.
Question: Can Rohini drop her light crossbow and draw and attack with her spear, all in one round and without prompting an attack of opportunity?

Rohini Soni |

It wouldn't make any difference because of Rohini's terrible save roll, but somehow I have the wrong saving throws on Rohini's profile. According to Hero Lab, they should be fortitude +5, reflex +2, and will +10. I'll fix Rohini's profile.

Ok, I think I understand the distinction you're making. So, you're saying that that the combination of it being above us and on a diagonal to some of us puts it more than 5' away. All that we have to do is take turns moving under its square and we should be able to hit it.
Also, I hate to bring this up, but we probably should not have gotten attacks of opportunity against the Vulnadaemon. If it was casting defensively and failed the check, the spell fizzles, but does not provoke. I should really stop rules lawyering, but I just can't. It's in my blood.

Thanks Trout. Also, please don't take any of this as criticism of your GMing. I think you run an awesome game.
