This thread will be used for me to post important game information, especially that which differs from the normal WoD setting, as well as a place for the players to discuss things going on in game, ask me questions, etc.

MAJOR DIFFERENCES:

The President of the United States(not Obama, or even Bush, just some guy) is a puppet to a incredibly powerful Lasombra named Jennifer. Thus, the US is officially in the hands of the Sabbat.

NYC is controlled my Assamite PC, Moridin. Beyond that, nothing in the city is different.

Boston is more or less run by the mafioso half of the Giovanni.

Atlanta is firmly in the grasp of the Sabbat.

Ok went back through and raised Auspex to 5, as I read it that allows Edgar time to "physically" interact with Lenore....

Moridin: A 5th Generation Assamite, whose sire is al-Ashrad, Amir of Alamut. He is the right hand of Ur-Shulgi, and current "Prince" of New York City. He is a strong ally of Jennifer, the Lasombra who controls the President of the Untied States and has ties to all of the major and most of the minor criminal organizations, gangs, etc around the world.

Jennifer: A 4th Generation Lasombra whose been in control of US through the manipulation of a minor aide to the President for the last 100 years.

Catherine: A 5th Generation Lasombra, whose sire is Jennifer, and is Moridin's lover. She is a powerful Abyssal Mystic as well as one of the most accomplished thieves and computer hackers on the planet.

Few more will be added in later.

Couple of other campaign notes:

al-Ashrad did indeed leave the main clan Assamites behind, but it is strongly rumored this is some sort of ploy on the part of the Judges.

The Gangrel are totally done with the Cam, and have taken to more of less mass leaving the cities and large towns behind. While normally the Garou and the Children of Caine do not get along, the Gangrel, with said exodus have begun to build up ties to various tribes and septs among the Children of Gaia.

There is a pervasive rumor that Malav has twin sister whose not been seen since the Second City. If she were found, she is said to have the power to bring back her brother.

The truth about the Salburi and what happened with Tremere is out there, if one knows where to look or who to ask.

I have finalized everything for Master Beschi so he is ready to go unless Monkeygod wants to do further tweaks.

Having so much fun I built a second character, not sure what that means, but it has been fun!

No major changes. I swapped out Investigation fro Research per your suggestion, changed around my backgrounds to take Occult Library per your suggestion and lowered my Appearance from 3 to 2 and raised my Charisma from 3 to 4 as I figured his looks have probably faded in his "somewhat" advanced age while centuries of discourse would have increase his charm (even if he is a Curmudgeon).

Made minor editing changes to the background and removed the part that referenced the Camarilla taking NY. I am avoiding any interaction with the big wig NPC's you named in the thread.

So he is ready to go.

There was no slot on my sheet for demolitions so I noted it under merits and flaws though it's neither.

Other than that, yeah I didn't like nay of the merits so I didn't take any of the flaws either.

So I guess I'm ready when you are. Let me know.

I need to include my max stat/max blood pool/ current blood pool. What are we starting out at Blood Points wise?

I am addressing the Occult Library question here so as to not clutter the game thread.

I figured the Occult library would only come into play if I was researching something. I assume you believe the mechanic should work the same way?

Setting a designated time to be online is something wlse, I can not recall the specific name for it at this time....

Does this ritual also work on screens for desktops and laptops?

Well that's what I mean. We should perhaps come up with a time when everyone is free. Obviously until then we can do what we're available to do, but maybe once a week or whatever we can all get online at the same time. Evenings are certainly fine with me.

No problem work has been crazy for me.

I would say a little more detail on his time as a Vampire. Also I did not see how his mortal life was connected to the Navajo reservation, maybe strengthen the connection there. I love that he was a bit mad before he was ever embraced. :-)

Its really not a big deal either way. While it's nice to spend XP on things you've used in game, I know that it doesn't always work that way and sometimes you wanna spend XP how you want. So try to spend XP on what you've used, but don't go out of your way to use something or bend over backwards trying to only spend your XP that way. Finally, run all expenditures by me, just in case.

No not yet, but I will shortly. Was at work all day and thus no book, lol.

Lastly, this will be the spot I award XP. I will try to keep things even, more or less, but note that as a lot the game will be RP it's not as simple as combat XP.

Sounds good. Some ST/DM's are a pain when it comes to that sort of thing. When I run game I don't force anyone to justify XP either.

No problem, I will run XP expenditures by you, drives me crazy when PC's have new powers I didn't know about.

One of the many nice things about my job is the all day internet access. :-) No worries but I do have a plan when I reach Sturbridges Chantry and the rules on Telecommunication will be applicable to that plan.

Enjoyed the Preulde, nice to actually PLAY Vamp as opposed to run it. Good thing I am not a big fan of Lure of the Flames!

Telecommunications can work on Desk and Laptops, within reason. Because on can do SOO much more with a computer than a TV, I'd have to know what you plan on doing to OK it.

As for the massive TV screen in Times Square, or one like it: I suppose it could work on such, provided you touched it. And it would have to be the screen itself, not the building or tower it's attached to.

I plan on using the power to spy on sturbridge. The screen at times square would have been an interesting idea to do something with just not sure what yet.

Looking through a few of my books last nite, I realized that I need to do something with regards to the various major events that took place over the published history of Vt?. What I'm thinking is more or less pushing everything forward by about ten years or so. Any input or advise would be appreciated.

I was going to ask you about that yestersay but I got wrapped up in prepping for my TT D&D game.

A lot of stuff took place at the end of the game there. The death of Clan Ravnos, the destruction of the Tremere Antitribu, the "return" of some of the Antedeluvians (how public that was I do not know), the Salubri Antitribu, the Harbingers of Skulls, the Maelstrom in the Underworld, plus there are number of other items as well the big one being Gehenna. I believe that you said Clan Gangrel DID defect from the Camarilla.

I am not sure if you should assume everything before Nights of Prophecy is canon and everything after is not or some other mix.

Maybe just a post here on the "status" of the the clans and the sects and anything else is rumor or heresay.

Edgar and Lenore are also a nod to Edgar Allen Poe......
Burroughs is of course a schizophrenic loosing of associations to edgar rice burroughs.....

But Malkavians are a bit mad......

I often have to work on things little peices at a time and that really makes things choppy so 10% inspiration and 90% revision......

I am looking forward to getting it just the way I want it.

I left a time-line opening for the DM as far as how long Edgar spent immediatly after the embrace in torpor before Lenore revived him, I am thinking a decade.....
