So here's my idea for the builds.
Rolling stats by taking 6+2d6 seven times and drop the second to lowest. Check the bottom of the post page to see how to format a dice-roll. looks like this:
[dice=stat]2d6+6[/dice ] but without a space after dice.

This way everyone should have at least one low stat, but it's a little easier to get good ones, and you can talk here/tell me about what builds and rolls you want to use.

Gods in this setting are a little different that elsewhere, so we'll talk about deities if you want one, I'm still working on the pantheons (there are many)

you start in a smallish town, wether you grew up there, traveled there, are on laying-low, looking for adventure, looking for trouble, or just got lost.
You went to the church cause there's not much else to do this evening, perhaps you were bored, lonely, lookng for a drink, feeling in need of some spiritual fulfillment, but you end up in the tavern/church to play.

You may know another character, you may show up together or not. We're not going to be havingany fights in the tavern.

You all also know that the Priesthood of Gemidar are pretty tough and not people anyone here wants to tangle with, so nothing is going to get too out of hand.

So what I rolled was:
6,4,+6=16
5,2,+6=13

So, subtracting the 2nd lowest roll, that's: 9,11,13,14,15,16.

The rolls aren't so bad, save for the 9 haha.

I'm thinking of putting the 9 into INT, maybe make some kind of tank-y character.


There's actually some tankey characters that use Int =P

The combat roles are as follows (in ascending order of greater difficulty)

Striker: Often lacking in defenses, but with very high damage output and nasty abilities.

Defender: Sticky characters mark enemies to put penalties on enemeis that don't target the defender, nad have ways of keeping enemies pinned around them.

Leader: Give allies movement, extra attacks, buffs, and healing.

Controller: use tricks to hamper enemies by Debuffing, Hitting with status affects, messing with terrain

Most classes have a primary and secondary role (or option for 2 secondaries)
Druids are Controllers with a Defender/Striker secondary
Warlords are Leaders with a Defender secondary
Bards are Leaders with a Controller secondary

so what roles look interesting to you? or classes and we can discuss roles

So Kayla and Mary, I'd recommend adding a Ranged Leader, like a shaman or Chairlord (warlord) maybe cleric or bard
and a melee striker like. . . Well there's a BUNCH... ranger rogue fighter barbarian assassin (Druid could work as control-striking) avenger and prolly more

ooh also I did wanna talk about gods. I'm filing myself under Bahamut for now because that's where I wanna be at, basically, but if there's gonna be a different set of gods it'd be nice to know about it.


There is a different set of gods, and i am still working on the Pahthion, so i can make sure there is a diety perfect for you.
What is it about Bahamut that you want?
Bahamut: platinum dragon, god of protection valor good, anti-evil.

In the central kingdoms there is a more Greco-roman theme of the dieties, So I'll work out a sweet Protector God, or ther version of the God King (He's kinda over-hyped)

Well I'm using a character builder that's a LEETLE finnicky about the roll scores so I got it pretty close to what I needed, and then there's also racial and class bonuses, so I dropped the 12 and added 2 to dex. Basically it's just 1 point off of my original roll and I'm ok with that.

As for bahamut, I'm basically into that because he's Lawful Good and the only other Lawful Good I could find was Moradin, and I didn't wanna follow him because he was a dwarfish god and I'm an Eladrin, and we hate dwarves on principle.

Your fighter right no doesnt' have two weapons, so Funnling Fury wouldn't really word since it requires you to use two weapons, using one on each enemy. So you should pick a different encounter power.

Do you want to talk about other powers, to pick and builds, or make your character and roll with it? Dont' want to be pushy about characters, i jsut get a little into the building part sometimes. Maybe waiting till we have all out characters to discuss synergies among the party?

In My world Dragons are different, and exceptionally powerful. It takes armies to handle dragons. Dragon-born are actually the remnant of a previous epic (great world-defining time in history) We are in the third.

Shadai-kar noted worshiping the Raven Queen, and there is discussion about that since there isn't quite the same Shadowfell in this world. SO Kayla, we gots stuff to talk about and plot hooks to design.

No worries paul, I just wanted to get a look at the characters and see how the party looks.

One thing that concerns me has to do with the rolls, and the variance. Ron and Mary have tough looking build, and a total set of bonuses of +8 is alright. They maintain pretty good primary stats so no worries hitting and the bonus effects of their abilities still ride on good secondary stats.

Dan and Paul have a lower total bonus, and lower main and secondary stats. If everyone's cool with it I'd like to offer you both re-rolls on the boards that i can toss up.

It is not part of most faiths to talk aobut where the first gods came from, Leriad, Demidah, and Boreas are considered special and without origin. There are other small-gods that are children of other dieties, but the children of Demidah and her consorts are the primary dieties in the central kingdoms.

Tarterus is the plane of Chaos. Tarterus is also the God of Chaos. Elementals, elemental dieties, etc. There are similar forces that are less well known, or worshiped.

Characters and their Gods:

Dan: Eladren priest of Morridan

Kayla: as a Shadar-Kai you could follow the Moon Goddess, but nobody in the central Kingdom worships the moon correctly. You find Zeillia is most like you moon-goddess.

Mary: Cleric of a small-god, unless you like one of these primaries. We should talk about that diety, depending on what kind of church you want to be a part of.

Paul:[b/] Being from the underdark, you don't know any of these gods, and nobody knows yours. But you are drawn to the stars by something magic.

[b]Ron: you can pick one of these, or be the follower of draconic gods of old. They are all dragons, and only draconic cults follow them

Halley: As a warlord, you can also pick a god if you want one, or a few as you aren't a priest, or you can go for Elemental dieties which are "Children of Tarterus"

Yeah. I saw in the string of numbers the 11 and the 10 and wasn't sure entirely what to do, if I had to pick and choose one or whatever. But yeah, it would be the 10 on the Int, not the 11. Sorry.


The rolls were roll 2d6+6 seven times and dropped second to lowest. The one that I noted was the 15 rather than the 17 for your cha. So that was the big one.
