Okay, got him updated.

Ok, I bought the .pdf and see some places where I made some big errors..lol. If possible I will keep my main idea, but now that I have a better grip on the skills and abilities and how they interact, would it be ok to switch some of these around a little?? Can have it up quickly as I am working on it right now.

Sure, I don't have any problem with that. :)

At any point, if when things get going, anyone feels like they want to rework something due to seeing things better or things not working the way you thought, just let me know.

Are you at max? If so, then I insist on being an alternate. (I, uh, I've gotten into some hot debates by insisting that REH is the best fiction writer there is. ^_^)

Also, I just favorited Dan's post that mentioned the man the myth the legend Magnus ver Magnuson.

By Crom only a TRUE Cimmerian can wield the Sword of the Aquilonian Kings! Unless you take me as some cur from Stygia? Those snake-worshipers would not know of good folk unless to stare into their fear-stained eyes as their wicked, curved daggers plucked out their still beating hearts for their evil rituals!

Um, I was thinking maybe someone from the northlands? Could be anywhere. Possibly Cimmeria? And maybe, Idunno, good with some weapons? Maybe, like, a sword?

Yes. I'm thinking of doing Conan. Specifically the Arnold Schwarzenegger 1982 version (the only movie in the series. Too bad they never made a sequel. Or a reboot. Or anything with Bridgette Neilson, who only got the part because the director saw her modeling without attention to minor things like, um, "can she act??" Yeah, too bad all of that never happened. =)

I'll go the random thing, because I like anything new, but I reserve the right to re-roll as needed to make something muscle-bound and good at melee. =)

The battle began with your numbers few. The bulk of your force was a day away and would be tired from the march. You knew yourselves dead, but you had to hold out so that the warriors would stand an even chance against the horde. The fight was brutal. The corpses of horses, soldiers, and other makeshift barricades piled up in front of your line, turning the fight from massed battle to deadly skirmish. Fully half of your number was slain, but you gave better than you got and it was them that routed. When the rest of your army emerged from the forest road, they found boys turned into veterans. Your company was promoted to guard the sunrise flank and those who survived became strong friends. How do you mark your membership in this august company?

Wow. Just...just whoa. That is straight, pure, 100% uncut Robert E/ Frickin' Howard right there. They were NOT kidding about staying true to his spirit.

Just one quick error that I see right away: I started with Aquilonian, having been born there, and I was given two more languages, one of which was Cimmerian. But it isn't listed.

Actually, I think we -all- have this error, since everyone only has two languages, but if we get our native plus 2 more, we should have 3, yeah?

Not in the least! Have you looked at the list of Writers/Contributors and Artists on Modiphius' Conan website ?

I just hope I can make the game worthy of it's roots.....

(And as a side note, check out the video on the lower right of the main site I linked above... A few scholars and gamers playing the playtest version of the game in R.E. Howard's home, feet from where he wrote the stories....)

I'm thinking it's Native +1 for a total of two RAW, but I like the flexibility so make it a base of Native language + 2 more is what we'll go by. Naturally adjusted for whatever talent, etc that gives you more. :)
