And here we go!

I decided that selecting quickly is a much better use of everyones time then spending weeks with direct messages on build details etc., and , at least when I was in recruitment threads, the quicker the decision the less unpleaseant feelings so!

In the Hybrid Skill Monkey DPR Beatstick position:

In the Beatstick position, we have Eric Kostroff in his epic quest for Blood, Brains, and Glory!

In which he will be assisted, presumable also from the frontlines, by
Roberta Crask

But how to keep them alive in such a lovely place with so many lovely ways to die? Why, the Inn and Out secured the services of the able Anatoli Ghrym,, and expert for much more the sexually transmitted diseases!

Brainpower? Why, winner of the all Abyssal true name spelling bee, Willow Nevardimpth is here.

But how about some buffing and flexibility, as well as setting people on fire? While nowhere near as hot as Shamira, Mr. Ashleaf May perhaps suceed in catching her eye, if he dares to go for that.

And last but not least our player newbie! Can Cenna Kellen Survive as a fairly normal human with familial attachments? Will his list making abiltiies ensure his survival? We will find out.

Everyone else, thanks for the submissions!

Players, please use the next week + some spare time to plot your interparty optimization (skill, spell and stuff wise) in the discussion thread, while I get some maps done!

Thank you and have fun everyone!

Since Ashlead and Cenna took an unexpected vacation, 2 new recruitment spots are open.
The party has found possible Demon Nazis who stole their boat, bested the self styled supreme S#~*lord of Alyushinyrra (and there was much rejoicing) and is now negotiating he a half Balor half Soviet Speznaz colonel to get another boat.

Same level and all as before?

Yeap

Hi Mightypion/Rorek, remember your Infernal lawyer friend from the Damned Troop?

After consideration, I'd like to have a go in your game. I'll choose a build other than the lawyer, though. Want to address the innkeeper theme.

Yeah, current party is 2 oracles (one healer one battle) 1 witch and a brawler. Something that does damage at range and is mildly dex based should fit in well.

Ranged damage you say? Well allow me re-submit Rebecca Ludolf for consideration. A gunslinger built to make use of the Spell Cartridges feat.

For a brief moment I wanted to suggest, let's make a party of oracles. A Seeker Wood Oracle would fit your requirements.

But I had a rough character sketch flowing around for a while and will adjust this. It's most likely Nature Fang based, who can pick Trapfinding via slayer talent

Silver Crusade

dotting. looks interesting. How do you feel about guns?

Have a few ideas whirling atm.

Would you be against an eldritch knight build? I had a fun idea for one making use of the spellslinger wizard archetype.

Go nuts, anything PFS legal definitly goes.

Also, Alyushinnyrra is a major metropolis, you are "citizens", and even Mosin Nagants (the faction the party is currently negotiating with are literally Russian world war 2 vets) are available, although they are more appropriately priced.

I do look for rough equivalence between the full casters and the full martials in the group though, compare your prospective DPR with Rebecca (the brawlers), it should not be much larger then hers.

Swapped out deadly aim for quick draw, helps balance out the DPR and it's more thematic anyway.

How much background story do you need? I am currently on vacation and won't have the time to write a lot.

Does the party need a trap finder? If so, do you allow the trait of the same name?

Background wise, a reason to be in the Abyss and not be immidiatly "I NEED TO GTFO!". Exile, smuggling, manumissioned pow, a lot of things can work here.

Trapfinding trait is find, I think the party currently doesnt have one.

I do not use traps that much, as I dont find them that fun to interact with.

Silver Crusade

for What its worth, my favorite Spell Cartridge build was a TWFing pistol using bloodrager. Was a hoot.

Here is my submission. Its not a particularly terrifying build, which may come back to bite me in the abyss. But Its something I've been thinking of trying for a while.

I do probably intent to go into spell Cartridges myself in a level. Though thats still undecided on how much I want to focus on spells for his damage. Either way, the build really hits its stride at level 9. haha.

Character Sheet Still a work in progress, but the concept is there.

Concept- A self confident mage seeking magical prowess with a kick for adrenaline and danger. The entire reason for being in the Abyss is to garner this knowledge by whatever means he can. He holds little love for demons, in fact, he detests most of them. However, no other place in the realms can offer such a quick avenue to the power he seeks. Ergo, he chose to come here to bypass potentially decades if not a century of "slow and boring" study.

Probably not particularly welcome in some circles, and has had to go into hiding before in his youth.

Roberta has that Rogue level and has put ranks into Disable device and the Rogue skills.

I keep trying to make a kineticist work, but I just can’t find something I like. Argh. Could switch over to a ranged Magus or Ranger concept, maybe.

You could always try an Aether Kineticist with a Rogue level.

Ranged pickpocketing and Disable device. Since an Aether Kineticist blasts with loose objects you could work out how to use blessed items in the blast?

I've been keeping an eye on this thread because it sounds like a fun read, but here's an excerpt from Occult Adventures about the Telekinetic Blast.

Occult Adventures pg 15" wrote:
Alternatively, you can loosen the strands of aether in order to deal damage to both the object and the target as though you had thrown the object yourself (instead of dealing your normal blast damage). You substitute your Constitution modifier for your Strength modifier if throwing the object would have added your Strength modifier on the damage roll, and you don’t take the –4 penalty on the attack roll for throwing an object that wasn’t designed to be thrown. In this case, the object’s special effects apply (including effects from its materials), and if the object is a weapon, you must be proficient with it and able to wield it with one hand; otherwise, the item deals damage as a one-handed improvised weapon for a creature of your size.

Just be prepared to break a lot of items....

Silver Crusade

kineticist would def be a fun one.
