Shiva highly pissed off that the owner of this place would let patrons gett atked in his own establishment barges into the room with ricta still drawn and little lightning bolts jumping from her finger tips.
" what the hell was that and what kinda place are you running here? You have a room full of pigs that look like they will eat anything and anyone. Most of your rooms have blood in them so you better start talking or your pigs just might get dinner."

Kuriq eyes the man, in no friendly manner of course, as his eyes light an internal flame. He focuses his energy on the man.
Drawing his weapon, he aims it directly at the man as he stands along side Shiva, "I suggest you speak fool. You should consider yourself lucky I am not the man I once was. You have one chance, come clean, never return here, plead your life for the Dawnflower, or you will not like what happens to you next." He speaks sternly, and his words should not be taken lightly.
Theodric does his best to look threatening and back up Kuriq.

"Do you think that just because you come in here, threaten me, and DEMAND my leave of this place, that I am going to answer everything you want. the pigs are clean up"
as if to demonstrate this, he motions his hand, and 2 guards pick up the corpse and throw it over the balcony to the hogs as they start to devour it rather quickly
"I'm not leaving, and I suggest that next time you don't return, Shoo shoo, I'm very busy with clients, and can no longer be bothered by riff raff who no longer are welcomed"
Kuriq with your discern lies, you can tell he isn't telling a lie, but not being completely open, though with how his establishment runs, its not a surprise he isn't volunteering information

Kuriq's patience wears thin, and his anger grows as his smirks. "You had your chance." A glow of white light emanates from him as he cast his judgement on the man sitting before him. And without warning to anyone, he fires a seemingly lethal shot at the dealer. "You have failed this city, and you shall be judged!"

Elsbeth leaps towards kurig and shoves his bow that is ready to fire towards the wall.
“let’s just take a minute to think about the information we have so far, and see if there is anyone else here that may be more willing to talk to us.” she turns to the man “I apologize for this inconvenience, we are simply trying to figure out what is going on around here. Is there any information you would be willing to give us or would you mind if we looked around some more?”
Theodric silently watches at the moment, trying to figure out if they are leaving or assaulting the pesh den leader.

the man shrugs "The cloth is probably just left over from one of the bodies the hogs were fed" he takes a moment to look the group over a bit more
"you sure you aren't part of Barbassi's band, you look like you would, and you definitely act like you would be, always so brash, headstrong in you think you know best, if you aren't, they are the local hired thugs that come here with Shiver looking for a place to unwind, tell stories of their exploits or something, I can't tell when they are out of it, nor do I care."
Theodric continues to listen while he examines the cloth more thoroughly.

as the cloth comes towards Shiva and while it is examined, there is no poison, though it seems familiar from a previous article that you all might have come across
however, upon moving the cloth, Theodric catches the glimpse of something that shines in the hog pen, albeit very very faint.
"The City well, the town well, the main market well, whatever you want to call it, I know nothing of this Spider Brotherhood, as for the shiver trade specifically, Barbassi's men supply here now and then thats all I know about it, I don't know where it comes from, or who makes it"
Theodric will indeed point it out and follow up with detect magic.

Kuriq's eyes gleam. This fool is small fish, perhaps if we find the Barbassi, we would learn more of how to end this filthy trade.
"I apologize for my antics earlier, although I do advise you to rid of you self of the Shiver, nothing good can come of that. I do ask one more thing before we make leave, where can we find the Brabassi?"He calms himself down to the best of his abilities, but clearly it's evidence that his speech is somewhat forced, clenching his fist at times.

the slightly shiny bit was a ring on a partially consumed finger, the ring itself bears the Tann Family crest
"Barbassi I don't know, though maybe someone might in a place called Fever Dream Alley, they might know about him there or someone else" he shrugs slightly and starts to insists politely enough that you please leave

Shiva will pocket the ring as well without evan taking it off of the finger. Looking over at theodic "i think we should take both of these back to the sheriff person as his evidence."
With that shiva will head back out to the common room and wait for the rest of her companions before making her exit.
Theodric nods to Kuriq.
"I'm not sure we know enough yet Shiva. Maybe go to the Dream Alleys first instead?"
Theodric looks incensed at the man and assaults him with a barrage of questions. "Anything else?! What in Calistra's golden thing is going on in this town? Does this ring mean anything? Is that who you were looking for? What are you going to do about that Pesh den and their pork building body disposal?"

Kuriq attempts to calmly divulge the situation, sparing no details. "...There seems to be many unanswered question. The Barbassi and their motivations, the Dream Alley, and the coincidences that these hideous monsters appear only to leave a dead body behind. Perhaps a manifestation of the dead? By any means, I advise you to put a close on any place that has even the slightest sign of Shiver activity."
After laying his thoughts out, Kuriq suggest the next activity to seek out the Dream Alley Abs the Barbassi as they seem to be promising leads.

the captain stands, reaches over to cabinet and pulls out a scroll, unfurls it and starts to list off over 78 names of places that are known shiver dens
"we aren't able to shut down one with out 3 more taking its place, so the pesh den will stay though run out of business if you do the job that is hired of you. The ring was Frell Tann's and will be presented to his uncle when able to."
she turns her attention to Kuriq and answers "Barbassi? the local band of thugs for hire what is their connection to shiver? or for that matter anything beyond just being muscle thugs?"
Hearing Kuriq's calming voice Theodric backs down.
