Oak Sprout doesn't want to tangle directly with this thing, but she also knows that she doesn't recognize it. She draws her shiny new cold iron spear that Kragrak bought for her and backs away from the fight. "What did I say about not underestimating small things? Yes, these dangerous beasts are well-known for their ability to turn invisible and enjoyment of the art of ambush. Beyond that, I'm afraid the spirits of nature are silent."

To the temple:
"Come with me." Zakhar waves a hand and uses the other arm to support the elder couple. His eyes scan the surroundings the whole way to the temple.
"See to your wounds. I must rejoin my friends." Zakhar takes off at a jog toward the warehouse.

GM Hmm |

Castiel, this is where your GM is going to ask you a leading question. Since you see an obvious demon before you, did you activate as a swift action your smite evil ability before attacking with your glowing blade?

![]() |

This is where it is confusing for a newby... Because smite can only be used once per day.... Yes, I'd like to cast it but don't know when the day is over?
Thanks for the suggestion...

— COMBAT OVER! —
Between a Smiting Paladin and an Angry Princess, the demon breathes its last. As you turn the corner, Wetbeard and Zakhar run gasping up to you. There are a pair or sturdy locked doors to the south, and a pair of rusty doors to the north. Those rusty front doors of this large, dingy warehouse are slightly ajar, as if someone forgot to close them entirely. Sprawled across the door and the southern side of the building are thick, disgusting, purplish-black strands that pulse with malevolence.
Do you break down the southern doors are go through the open one to the north?

Lord Braggett, still mostly confused and flustered at the Quasit's antics, holds his sword aloft and cheers, "Ha, now that's what I call teamwork! I bravely draw it's attacks by feigning helpless befuddlement, and while it is distracted, you all strike... Yes, very well done, team!"
He keeps his sword out as he rides around the building, "Huzzah for Zakhar and Wetbeard! It is good to have you back." He cheers, saluting the return of his fellow Pathfinders. Turning to Castiel, he says, "We are a full team again, Sir. As such, I implore you to save your anger for the beasts within, and together we shall end this evil from the Abyss once and for all!" Braggett then rides up to the rusty doors and pulls up beside Prince, points his flaming sword towards the door and shouts, "For Saringallow and it's children, we shall prevail!" Timing has never been one of Braggett's strong suits, and after his rousing speech, he now waits in awkward silence for Princess to report back.

GM Hmm |

Okay, judging from the map, you’re all heading through the slightly rusty doors to the North! So that is what I am going for!
Castiel clears most of the nastiness from the Southern doors, and then notices that his team is gathered around the Northern doors. Princess ectoplasmically lurches inside!
INSIDE THE WAREHOUSE
Basic warehouse supplies, such as ropes, hammers, crowbars, and cargo nets, hang from the northern wall of this room. Several crates stand against the western wall. Doors stand against the east and south walls. A pulsating mass of purplish-black sludge lies along the floor near the southern wall between the two doors, and long filaments anchor the substance to the walls and ceiling. A large, strange egg sac lies at the center of the slime, with tiny legs visibly scrabbling beneath its surface. Three other nearby egg sacs have already burst!
Princess notices that there are three centipedes in the room with her, though they haven’t noticed her yet.

...out of the bile that is starting to seep out of the Northern doors arises a spider swarm! It’s a carpet of tiny spiders, each with razor sharp mandibles ready to eat you alive!
Wetbeard, Prince, Castiel, Kragak, Braggett and Kragak all made the perception to see the swarm as it emerges, and so they all get one surprise attack against it before we go into initiative! Remember that swarms like these feature creatures that are too tiny to be hit with regular weapons!
Remember that each of you has an Acid Flask from the supplies gotten from Gellion’s house!

![]() |

In touch mentally with Prince, Princess will exit, to share the information with her comrades: "A warehouse filled with objects, and a pulsating mass of purplish-black sludge on the southern wall between the doors, anchored to the walls and ceiling. A large, strange egg sac lies at the center of the slime, with tiny legs visibly scrabbling beneath its surface. Three other nearby egg sacs have already burst. And there are centipedes too. Oh, the spiders must be swarming out here..."

![]() |

Kragrak shouts, "Hundreds of spiders coming out of the crate over there! Watch out! He reaches into his pouch for something caustic to throw at the creatures. The bottle from Gellion's house is bit more rounded at the bottom than his own acid vials, so it catches most quickly on his fingers. "Only right to use this acid to help Gellion," he mutters.
However, with the positioning as it is, he realizes that if he were to hurl the flask now, some of it would splash on to Lord Braggett.
"Please step back, Lord Braggett. Don't want to get any acid on you." He readies an action to throw his acid flask on the swarm once Braggett steps back.
