The Winds of Fate |

The doors are not locked, so it will be easy enough to burst in. The barracks ceiling isn't high enough to allow anyone in on horseback though. If you open both doors, the entrance will be 10 ft across, 5 ft for just one door.
The troll will obviously hear the doors bust open, so no surprise round. Everyone may go ahead and roll their initiative and post their first round actions. The barracks is 40 ft long, double bunks line either side of the room. Two long tables are in the center, both 5 ft across and 10 ft long and have benches pushed under them. Their is a 5 ft clearance on either side of the tables and the bunks near them. The troll is chopping up the body on the far table, about 25 ft from the doorway, the trollhounds are chained to the stone wall on the far side of the barracks but appear to have about 20 ft of chain to range out on.

Are you taking any more actions on the bodies?

Finnegan "Devilbow" Rook |

What Andrea said.
Finnegan quickly moves forward, pulling out a flask of acid, and begins dumping it on one of the trollhounds. "Let's make sure these things don't come back and get us from behind."

Othniel Laurentius |

"I've got this. Save the flasks for live ones." Othniel says, before taking a few moments to fire bursts of acid into the troll and trollhounds, just to be sure.

The Winds of Fate |

For those of you who care to cast it, nothing magical is detected in this room.
After the battle and subsequent defilement of the corpses, you have time to looks around the room a bit more. The trollhounds had nothing on them except their collars, the troll wore little beside some ragged furs and an old, patched leather butcher's apron and was armed with a large sized meat cleaver. The remains of the corpse on the table are completely naked. Likely so the trollhounds wouldn't get any strings or threads stuck in their teeth.
The bunk beds lining the room have nothing in them aside from the remains of rotted mattresses and blankets. All of the footlockers have been smashed open. Think Link and pots. There are tatters of what were likely regimental pennants and flags bearing coat of arms. The fireplace at the end of the hall is massive, easily able to hold a whole roast boar inside of it.
Aside from the doors you entered through, the only other entrance/exit appears to be trap door set off in the corner of the room on the opposite side from the fireplace.

Othniel Laurentius |

Othniel moves up and crouches silently next to Finnegan.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Radomir Shax |

"Oof.. Should we take some healing first?" Radomir groans, stoically trying to hide is pain and how serious his wounds are. "Many of us have been seriously wounded, and it would not be wise to proceed with half our strength."

The Winds of Fate |

The trapdoors are untrapped and you are able to open them with some difficulty since they are old, heavy wood and the hinges are quite rusty. No lights can be seen from the cellar and it is pitch black to anyone without and form of enhanced vision. From what you can view from the top of the stairs down are shattered wooden crates and clay pots that were likely used to once store provisions in for the fort and everything is covered in a thick layer of dust and cobwebs, suggesting that the tall trolls didn't bother to venture down into the low ceilinged (5ft high) cellar).

Alexander Orlovsky |

Wise words, Councilor. Alexander says as he examines the building. Shall we try to find a way in or observe for a while and see what they do? He frowns as he looks around the area, Perhaps find a place to ambush anyone coming out?

The Winds of Fate |

Locations around you include: The gatehouse/guardhouse tower you all entered through. The other tower cliffside tower on the far side has been slowly crumbling over the edge for many years now and is likely not stable enough to enter. The third was damaged and partially buried by a landside over a century ago and the mountain is where a fourth tower would have been located.
Then, you have the barracks/mess hall you are currently in with the storeroom underneath it and portions of the thick stone wall seem stable enough to bear your weight. That is the extent of the buildings that you can see/still exist. You could attempt to climb up the mountain a bit if you wanted higher vantage point. It is fairly steep and rocky though with sparse vegetation and stunted trees trying to grow.

Radomir Shax |

Radomir nods in agreement with Andrea. "I can stand outside, creating diversion. Maybe with some illusions, if anyone here can make those. Then, when they come rushing out, I pull back, drawing them further in.... and then we close the pincers and our trap?'

The Winds of Fate |

If you are willing to wait a few hours, the next sentry will indeed come out to relieve the other troll. It will come out of the cave and you have enough time to set up whatever positions you want to be in to ambush it. Go ahead give intits, surprise and first round actions and your approximate locations.
