Advanced flesh golem shield guardian

Both the big figures lurch forward, Gjetost spitting ash and soot and Claw noticeably slower than normal. Taking aim, Gjetost launches one of the odd spheres filled with Styx essence at the dragon.

Gjetost fluffed his save and has no resistance to fire. After Hnoss' healing, he's down 35 hp.

Gjetost moves to MN 18-19 before launching a bomb. Attack roll with the Styx bomb 20!+11+1(haste)=touch AC (I presume) 32. Confirm roll in case the bomb has an effect that can increase in severity 12+11+1=touch AC 24. Should be interesting to see what happens now, if anything...

Claw has a single action. He uses it to move to HI 19-20. He also regenerates 5 hp and is down only 22.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

Move to G20 before zapping Svipdag with an empowered Enervation. Attack roll 11+10+1(haste)=touch AC 22, damage 1d4=3x1,5=4,5=4 levels. SR check 14+14=28.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Going post by post here; first Elgan:

Elgan's firestorm doesn't seem to harm the black dragon Svipdag (the dark green huge square). However, the light green squares that represent the vomited acid pool of his breathweapon.......the acid pool is completely nullified, which is a pretty snazzy thing, because that thing did some damage to go traipsing through.

Beldan quaffs his own potion of protection from energy, then ghosts forward through the trees, still moving quickly despite his efforts to remain unseen amongst the trees thanks to Pip’s haste spell and his own ability to move quickly but quietly. He draws his crossbow as he goes.

SA: drink potion of protection from energy (acid). MA: Fast stealth 1d20 + 36 move to U13. He’ll also be watching the dragon to try to gauge whether or not it knows where he is.

Beldan can make a sense motive check to see if the Dragon gives up the fact of whether he sees him or not.

Claw hits the thing in the mouth with it and it breaks therein.......it spits it out, and seems somewhat alarmed, shaking its head, but it doesn't show any discernable effect.

The two giant things lurch into the now baked acid washed circle of the dragons' former acid pool, taking no damage.

Note: the area of the former acid pool is normal movement; any and all vegetable matter has been nullified......

Male Human Rogue 14

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

It works.....you can see his eldritch energies sucked forth from his massive body.

Pip's turn, then.....Svipdag.....

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Beldan doesn't think that Svipdag sees him.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

I gotta do a errand; back in a hour.

Male Human Rogue 14

PIPSTER!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

There's a massive thunderhead to the east of position......it's coming in fast like a midwestern U.S.A. storm, that anywhere else would only be possible on time lapsed film. It looks like it's encircling, it looks like it's going to grab the island in a metaphorically cloudy fist grasping an axe handle.

The faces of a thousand Valhallan drinkers can be imagined in the wall of that thunderhead. The lightning flickers, madly, at stacatto speed, and seems to suggest the spears and blades of a wolf age.

just building tension; nothing immediately untoward realy.

Pip's up.

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

ACK! I have not been minding the store!

Reflex 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

Pip starts his hasted bowing

1d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 361d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 231d20 + 20 ⇒ (16) + 20 = 361d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 281d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 191d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 341d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 11 + (6, 5) = 271d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 11 + (1, 4) = 241d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 11 + (3, 5) = 231d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 11 + (6, 1) = 221d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 11 + (1, 2) = 221d8 + 11 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 11 + (2, 1) = 20

Assuming the dragon is hy the first shot, the manyshot feat sends another arrow in for an extra 27 damage

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

One question: Hnoss gave you guys +6 to hit; is this in your reckoning?

Ooops! No it isn't =P

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Right on; I'll do a little math here, then move for the dragon.

It kinda takes me a bit.

Bard 8/ Troubadour of Stars 9 Epic Shredder

Hey, I can't fault anyonr for procrastination! =D

And a ginormous damage bonus! With the amount of attacks he has, it could be important.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

lol, I had to eat lunch, and now I'm wrangling a pissed off four year old who wants her way.
I'll see you guys in a few hours, because I can't do "14th level characters vs. a big ass dragon" type math's with any reliability under these circumstances.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Pip sends a barrage at the dragon; three arrows strike with profound effect. One of the dragon's eyes is out, three darts in it.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Line of acid; Hnoss and Pip are in the line.

d.c. 29 reflex save or

22d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 6, 3, 6, 2, 2, 5, 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 3, 2, 6, 5, 5, 5, 1, 6) = 79 in acid damage.

Hnoss's save
1d20 ⇒ 12

Stiggy; rest of the group.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

So Hnoss is down 79 hp.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

She charges; the line of acid bores a straight path at the dragon.

1d20 ⇒ 12 to hit;

1d8 ⇒ 2 to damage....

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

she just misses.

Male Human Rogue 14

"Damn paladins, always charging in with no consideration of safety or strategy," mutters Beldan.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Sorry. In my defense, though,.....she is from Asgard...

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!
Beldan Vale wrote:

I could take it back, if it messes you guys up; I don't want to make her a nuisance on the "final big ass fight."

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Does the Dmg Hnoss took include the defenses? (Elgan's spell, etc?)

"Ooh, Dat's gotta hurt!" Elgan squawks in bird-talk. Even in Avian form you can tell he's wincing.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Yeah; I guess that's 69 then she's down.

Nah, its all good. I was trying to be ironic, seeing ad I normally play paladins and do just that sort of thing.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

heh heh...

Male Human Rogue 14

"Rioght."

Stig hefts his earth breaker and waddles into a charge, moving almost comically fast, his short legs flying over the ground thanks to his magical boots and Pip's spell.

charge to j7, power attack. 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (12) + 39 = 51 damage 2d6 + 53 ⇒ (3, 1) + 53 = 57.
not sure if we have an inspire courage going, so didn't include those bonuses, but did include the smite evil bonus.

Male Human Wizard 17 (Conjuration specialist)

We have bardic music running, so Stig hits AC 54 (!) and does 60 points of damage.

"Let's see if this works...." Altai casts a new, unfamiliar spell on the dragon.

No move. I'm casting Feeblemind. SR check 11+14=25, and the dragon needs to make a Will 25 save with a -4 penalty for being a spellcaster and a further -4 penalty from the level drain or have his INT and CHA reduced to 1.

Advanced flesh golem shield guardian

Claw moves to HI 16-17. He regenerates 5 hp and is now down 17.

"Time to die, wyrm! Your skull will look great above the gates to my clan's halls." Gjetost charges the scaly beast, pulling this curved greatsword as he runs.

Charge to MN 7-8. Attack roll 13+21+1(haste)+3(bard)+2(charge)+6(Hnoss' smite evil)-3(power attack)=AC 43, damage 2d8+18+3(bard)+9(power attack)+16(Hnoss' smite evil)=67.

Advanced flesh golem shield guardian

Correction - Gjetost's attack does 57, not 67 points of damage.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Elgan's beady-birdie eyes go wide at the sight of Stig and Gjetost's attacks.

"Caw-CAW!" He cries enthusiastically.

Male Human Rogue 14

Beldan stealths through to R8, then raises his crossbow to fire at the dragon.
possible sneak attack with +1 shocking burst light crossbow using deadly aim, including bardic music, point blank range and smite: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (14) + 27 = 41
Damage (excluding sneak attack and shocking damage): 1d8 + 33 ⇒ (4) + 33 = 37
Sneak damage (if applicable): 7d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 1, 4, 6, 2) = 21 plus 7 points of bleed damage plus 2 points of strength damage.
Electrical: 1d6 ⇒ 6

I put stig in j8; j7 is part of the dragon;.....

Stiggy wails on Svipdag hard, breaking dragon bones with his bam stick.

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

For all intents and purposes,......Svipdag is a dumbass winged tyrannosaurus rex with a real badass projectile vomiting ability.

Gjetost takes another really gnarly chunk out of Svipdag....

Beldan puts a dart in the thing's head; it sinks deep, and Svipdag bellows horribly.

Looks like Elgan's up to bat, then Svipdag.

Yeah; I tooks some off for that. He does 22d6 with that projectile vomiting.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

omg! I mean Omigosh! Did we really just do that?!? THAT is awesome! Way to go Vatt! :)

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Oh; yeah; he's dangersome, but he's bleeding really bad.

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Ack! is it MY turn? how the time flies!

Okies, lets try THIS one on for size! :)

Elgan hawk screeches in the primordial language of creation itself, and a blue-green bolt of sizzling energy sparkles and hisses as it reaches for the idiot dragon savant.

Cast 'Baleful polymorph' I may have to still beat his SR, but there is NO way he's making the DC 20 save now! :) I think I'll turn him into a nice, slow turtle! :D

Caster Check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

He could make it.

Save
1d20 ⇒ 2

Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

Or not! :D

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Heeeeeeeee's a turtle.

Whaddya do? Stig/groups' attack.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Male Wild Elf Druid 16 (Shifter version, PHBII)

"Turtle Soup!" Elganhawk screeches joyfully!

I AM THE LORD OF ALL HELLFIRE!!!!!

Heh heh....

Hnoss hovers with her sword over the poor thing.

It's an alligator snapping turtle; and it kinda hops in the air a little bit and bites at her ineffectually.

She's all burnt up looking and scarred; something that goes away as she channels herself and everybody up to max h.p.'s.

She says, "does any of you want to do the honors? I feel....somehow....that this coup de grace is a little on the sucky side. Nonetheless you all did help me a great bit, and I'm grateful for all you've done."

A little otter trots up next to her leg, and looks on as if expectantly.

You can see the clouds now, enveloping the island.

There look to be......beautiful women, on winged horses, in those clouds, darting about like mad.
