Happy Fourth of July, sorry I didn't post, I have a good excuse. Three times in the last four years, I've had kidney stones. Sunday the 03rd was my fourth. I managed to get over it without a trip to the Emergency Room, but man do I hate those things. So yesterday I took it easy.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm just at an age where "working hard" out in the garden now brings punishment 2-3 days later. Always in the summer, never in the winter. Just part of growing old, unfortunately. But I'm gonna clear out that 75'x50' overrun garden this year if it kills me.

Meanwhile, you guys are so unbeatable I had to up the Challenge Rating a little and spring some higher-level sleep arrows, screaming bolts, and slaying arrows, human on you. After all, this is the warehouse of a high-level magic-item-using guild, so they're armed to the teeth.
Gotta run a parent to a doctor's appointment this morning, will post later.

Yeah unfortunately poking me here doesn't help since I still don't get notifications for this game. Sorry for got to check manually.

Uh, Khayal, they're thieves who threatened Nasir AND Shirin. I and Yazi have absolutely no qualms about looting the place.
As for the sarcaphagus specifically Yazi doesn't want to loot it, she's concerned we're dealing with grave robbers as well.
Heck for all we know it could be empty and hide a trap door.

So somehow, magically the campaign reappeared for me today.
Nasir is fascinated by the Sarcophagus as a Pathfinder, and yeah had no problem looting these murdering, thieving bastards.

I do, thanks for the pushing posts. I've been super busy at work as of late.

Let's see, Yazi is checking for traps, and Khayal is right behind her. How bad could it be?

Hey guys bear with me. We are currently experiencing a major flood event here in Louisiana.

We made it out ok. No water in my house or any of my neighbors. I actually live across a state highway from a river that rose 7 feet in 2 days. We had a bit of a scare but that's it. I cannot say that for many people around us. I'm also in the national guard and we have been activated but my first sgt called and told me not to worry about it for now. I don't know if that means not at all, or if I'll be doing post response stuff. However, I'll try to keep up with posting. Thanks for the well wishes.

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with my First Sergeant and I’m getting activated to respond to the flood in my home state of Louisiana. I don’t really know how long I’ll be out, I hope not too long. I’ll have my phone so I *might* be able to post. I’m really sorry for the delay and I’ll get back into posting asap. Thanks, Niles

Totally understand. Do what you have got to do brother.

Stay safe, Hajar/GM Niles. Keep your socks dry and find a 10-ft pole as soon as you get to your emergency relief station. Stay away from cars on top of hills - they're booby-trapped, and stay away from trees above the waterline - spiders and snakes. Zip-lock bag all your stuff in your ACUs in case you end up in the water.
But do NOT drive the HMMWV straight into the deep water at speed: the radiator fan hits that water and shrapnels the engine block behind it. Really ticks off the motor pool SGT when you tow the HMMWV back.
And remember - when the young woman says she's got a baby in the house and needs a ride over the river to go back to her after she's done her shopping trip, she's lying. There is no baby in the house, she just wants a free ride across the river on the FMTV.

You let something permanently fuse/possess your hand, the first feat gives you +1 to attack and damage with that hand, bonuses to skills, and a once per day Quickdraw, the second one cuts down the penalty on TWF attacks with that hand by 2 AND if you're unconscious, paralyzed, or stunned the hand can act on its own:
• The hand can retrieve or pick up an item or weapon as a
standard action.
• The hand can attempt any of the following skill checks
at a –4 penalty: Disable Device, Escape Artist, Heal,
Sleight of Hand, or Use Magic Device.
• The hand can knock you prone as a free action, and
drag you while you’re prone at a speed of 5 feet as a full-
round action.
• The hand can perform any other action appropriate for
a hand and an arm, such as pouring a held potion into
your mouth or awakening you from a sleep spell.
• The hand can make a single melee or ranged attack with
a light or one-handed weapon as a full-round action.
The third one lets the hand detach and work as a scout (if it gets destroyed it can regenerate).
Theres also one that gives you darkvision and can't be flanked, another gives you a knowledge skill as a class skill and once per day can add half their level onto a hand related check.

I think our paladin would perform immediate preventive surgery on that option.

Currently at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) which is a fancy way of saying I'm sending emails and answering the phone. This might not continue, but for now I have pc/internet access.

Good memories. What's the update to EM2000, the reporting/coordination software?
