Tillia |

Action 1
Tillia was highly annoyed and didn't worry if it showed, she replied to the request though with little trace of it, "Our orders don't contain any instructions one way or the other but, for the sake of cooperation and obeying the dictates of our superiors I have no problem with your request." Having said what she needed to say she looked at the guard, "I believe we're ready to begin the transfer of the traitors, lead the way soldier."
Action 2
Tillia followed the guard and, as they came to each cell, she gestured for her "subordinates" to take control of them. When the guard told them that the last armiger was unavailable Tillia's expression turned cross as she said, "What do you mean the last one is being tortured by someone other than our Lord Governor!" Her words were not happy, infact she was downright pissed as she said, "You with me," she gestured at Vandomir, "the rest of you, keep this trash in line. We're going to get the last one before we leave to deliver them."
Knowledge (planes): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
As Vandomir headed to the other door Tillia grabbed his arm and said, "The visitor is a kyton, a creature from the plane of shadows. they thrive on pain and torture, somehow feeding on it at practice ritual disfiguration of themselves and others. We have to go in strong and not stop, it must believe that we aren't to be trifled with." She handed him the orders and said, "You're the most authoritative of us, you take the lead on this, I'll wait just outside in case I'm needed."

Vandomir Jarvis |

Action 1
Vandomir wasn't about to wait and let the creature continue its grisly work on the pretty girl. A kyton? A creature of shadows Tilia said? "Let's find out how it reacts to cold steel, thought Vandomir as he moved across the room drawing his mighty blade, "treat with me beast if you must," he challenged as he brought his blade down at the creature...
Charging the (hopefully) flatfooted critter.
+1 Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
+1 Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 3) + 4 = 13
he was amazed that his blade didn't do more damage as it cut into the kyton's flesh.
I'm guessing some sort of DR that isn't DR/Magic or slashing which is all I can overcome.

Caleb Cage |

Caleb's jaw drops. Could we take it? Maybe. Could we do it without someone drawing a holy symbol or something?...
bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 lie: you should leave here or could get hurt
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 ask favour, if necessary.
Caleb whistles quietly through his teeth, grabbing the minion by one arm and the chain to the string of manacled Armigers in the other. "C'mon mate, you really don't want to be here while this goes down. Let's get these guys to the entrance and make sure all the paperwork's in order." He looks the guard up and down "What's your name, anyway?"

Eirik Clausen |

Hmm… I didn’t expect Vandomir to attack so quickly, so Eirik wasn’t expecting it either. I wonder if the guards will join the fight or consider this above their pay grade unless explicitly ordered to fight. I hope for the latter – I doubt they’d be held accountable if a dispute over the precedence of credentials (we have the right to take the prisoners, the netherfiend has a right to torture her, but which exactly trumps which) gets bloody on their watch.
Eirik’s eyes widened at the sight of the creature glimpsed from the corner of his eye, then widened further as the noble wasted no time in drawing his sword on the extraplanar visitor. As Caleb and Rowan challenged the creature and Caleb began herding the three prisoners now in their care towards the door the monk stayed in the room, apparently hesitating on whether to fight or take the excuse to flee, but keeping an eye on the other guards, to see how they decided to react.
Eirik will spend this round watching if the guards and Sabo will jump, and if they do, on which side. Assuming they decide to stand aside, will join the battle next round. If they rush to protect the torturer Eirik will try to block the door to at least leave Vandomir and Rowan can work in peace.

Rowan Drovenge |

Hearing Tillia's explanation of who the visitor was caused Rowan to move quickly and catch Vandomir before he attacked. She murmured a quick prayer to ask Milani to bless his sword with goodness and the sword glowed softly as he attacked.
It was then that the condition of the woman being tortured caught the warpriest's eye. She tried to determine if she was still alive or was already dead. She looked to be in rough shape but Rowan couldn't tell for sure from this distance. As Vandomir engaged the kyton, Rowan moved towards Hortense.
heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Caleb Cage |

I realise moving Caleb off might be suboptimal, but I figure a witness might be worth avoiding while we're highly outnumbered in the Belly of the Beast.

Eirik Clausen |

Since Fabian is being nice, let's move Thrym into melee range once he observes the guards are not intervening - can only move or attack on a surprise round, and since Eirik needs to move... let's just hope the weird thing doesn't have a nasty PBAoE to surprise us back ;^) Assuming Eirik has the moves, let's set up a flank with Vandomir for the next round.

You channeling Thrym with your Ulfen disguise? :)

Tillia |

Action 1
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
When she heard the fight begin Tillia rolled her eyes, so much for getting them out of here without violence. Oh well, they couldn't leave the last one here at the mercy of the kyton in the room. She told her friends, "Be careful, we need good or silver weapons to hurt her, and she has a strong natural resistance to all magics."
If I can avoid getting my allies in the area of effect.
With that said Tillia stepped in far enough to get a view of the kyton and cast a spell, glittering dust coating her form and tryingto get into her eyes.
I cast glitterdust, no SR dc 16 will negates blindness.
If I can't get the kyton without hitting my friends.
With that said Tillia stepped in far enough to get a view of the kyton and cast a spell, a beam of cold blue light flew at the kyton.
Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d3 ⇒ 2

Caleb initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Eirik initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Rowan initiative: 12 = 12
Tillia initiative: 15 = 15
Vandomir initiative: 11 = 11
enemies initiative: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12

Rowan Drovenge |

Now that Vandomir's weapon was blessed, Rowan knew that he would need her help as well. Calling on Milani's blessing to imbue Rowan's morningstar with the essence of good, the warpriest prepared to defend Hortense against any further torture.
will use another good blessing
I would also like to activate the +1 enhancement on the morningstar as it is Rowan's sacred weapon. It says that this is a swift action so it should be possible, correct? She'll use the weapon's base damage because this is currently greater than the sacred weapon damage.

Eirik Clausen |

'Who knows how long the guards will keep on hesitating - best we dealt with this quickly,' Eirik thought as he stepped around the blade-impaled figure, shaking his hands to loosen the chains wrapped around his wrists enough to drop them over his fists like makeshift brass knuckles - for show rather than for purpose - ever as he moved in for attack.
"För förfädernas skull!" Eirik roared, remembering to keep up his Ulfen guise as he landed a heavy punch on the otherworldly creature's jaw, snapping its head back. The impact felt strange, like punching slightly yielding stone, and did nowhere near as much damage as it should - not a huge surprise, considering his recent experience with monsters resistant to uninvested weapons, but the shock-wave of Ki of the deep strike seemed less hindered by the resistance, causing flesh trails of blood to begin seeping from the wounds the creature had inflicted on itself.
5' step to get closer to a flank, full attack... The DR will be a pain again, but if I can get the bleed going... is it susceptible to Electrical damage, or does it have elemental resistances as well?
Flurry, unarmed: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Flurry, unarmed: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 I doubt this will be enough
Unarmed, damage, lethal: 1d8 + 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + (3) + (3) + 1 = 12 First bleed included

Caleb Cage |

"Nice place you got here, mumbles." Caleb continues to steer the guard further away "Must be a pain to keep clean though, with all the blood. Vinegar's good for that - I've heard. What do you do with the bodies?"
He looks around "So - Asmodean? Or just in it for the paycheck?"
Once Caleb's got the guards far enough away, he's thinking of doubling back.

Tillia |

Action 1
Tillia was ticked, her spell had failed miserably and she wasn't about to let that stand. She mumbled to herself, "Let's see how the unholy b@+&& likes this." She pulled a small bit of butter from a pouch, chanted and made a spreading gesture. The butter vanished and a patch of grease appeared beneath the kyton in the hopes of making her fall on her ass.
I cast grease placing it so it only affects the kyton. DC 15 ref to avoid falling prone. Area is considered rough terrain.

lancet to hit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24, yes
damage: 2d4 + 14 ⇒ (4, 3) + 14 = 21

Tillia |

Round 1
Well s#...
With a few words and gestures on Tillia's part the Kyton should have felt her eyes begin to be drawn towards the wizardess but the magic failed to gain any hold on the creature's mind.
SR: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Cast Lock Gaze but failed SR.
Round 2
"Well crap!" She was turning out to be of little use in this fight and it was making Tillia very unhappy. She glared in the kyton's direction and said, "Try this, you like pain so much? Why don't you go pet the torture devices over there!" Her words unleashed another spell but again the magic failed to take hold drawing a scream of frustration from the wizard, "Argh!"
SR: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Cast Unnatural Lust but failed the SR.
This fight HATES me. x_x

Caleb Cage |

The guard just kept walking not even daring a look behind him, knowing full well that things were not going to be OK.
sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
as in "these crazy new guys are going to die", or "we're going to have to fight these crazy new guys?" not sure if cover has broken.
Eirik Clausen |

Whoa, the damage… time to spend a Ki point for extra attacks.
Eirik’s expression turned grim at the sight of the noble almost falling before the first attack. Had they bitten more than they could chew? Or had that been a mere lucky break for the fiend? They were committed to the battle now, though – even if the creature would let them leave, the guards might very well decide to pick the winning side and turn on them.
Channeling his inner strength into a burst of speed, the monk launched a flurry of blows on the enemy’s unprotected back, muttering curses as its preternaturally tough flesh blunted his blows again.
Flurry, unarmed: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 Let’s use a Stunning Blow here, just in case it will work
Flurry, unarmed: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Flurry, unarmed: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Unarmed, damage, lethal: 1d8 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + (1) + 1 = 5
Unarmed, damage, lethal: 1d8 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (5) + 1 = 8
Unarmed, damage, lethal: 1d8 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + (2) + 1 = 9
Bleed, damage, 2nd round: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Damn... First attack might well hit, but if it does damage, it's 1 point of Lightning. The second would actually penetrate the DR, but is 17 enough to even hit? Though assuming Rowan steps up, Eirik will get flanking bonuses… The third, at least, should do something regardless. Though with the DR, not much.

Kyton's full AC is 19.

Game on!

Vandomir Jarvis |

Action 1
Vandomir could feel his life ebbing out of him. He coughed, the salty taste of his blood in his mouth, and the frothy bubbles told him the wound had pierced his lungs and stomach. If this was the last thing he did, he was going to go down strong.
He cried out, "not, on my watch, b@*!%!" He swing his greatsword at the demon...
+1 Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
+1 Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4) + 4 = 10
...and collapsed to the floor, not even knowing he had struck his enemy a grievous blow.
Stabilize: 1d20 + 0 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 0 - 1 = 17 Success

Rowan Drovenge |

Seeing Vandomir fall gave Rowan no choice but to step up and take his place. "Milani, guide your servant's hand." As she spoke, she brought her blessed and sacred morningstar down on the kyton.
attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 8 + (4) = 19 added my action point to hit, but if Rowan doesn't have one (can't remember what level she was when she used her last one) then she misses
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
It appeared that the kyton was going to dodge away from Rowan's attack but at the last moment, the morningstar jerked in the warpriest's hand giving the extra momentum needed to make contact. The creature screeched in anger as the good-infused weapon burned its soul.
Rowan re-positioned herself for her next attack saying, Praise Milani!"

Fabian Benavente |

She drew two weapons and made two attacks?
And that weapon crits on a 18-20 and does 3x damage.
Eh, not quite, I made a mistake. :(
It's a 19-20, x3 weapon.
I will 'fix' things in the turn recap so the ranger is not 'staggered' at the end of the last turn recap.

lancet to hit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23, hit
damage: 2d4 + 14 ⇒ (2, 4) + 14 = 20

Vandomir Jarvis |

Vandomir intends to take a 5' step to the NE as Rowan moves to the East, so we'd be flanking.
Vandomir moved to his left around the creature's side, hoping to gain an advantage. Once he and Rowan stood opposite the outsider, he swung his blade...
+1 Greatsword: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
+1 Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
But did a minimal amount of damage to the creature.

Caleb Cage |

"Oh blast." Caleb patted himself down "I left my badge back there. Here - hold this." he hands over the lead chain to mumbles and takes off back to the fight "I'll be back in a moment!"

Rowan Drovenge |

Rowan saw Eirik go down but knew there was nothing she could do until the kyton had been dealt with. She hoped he'd be able to stabilize himself until she could get to him.
When Vandomir moved, Rowan made sure she was in flanking position with the him. Taking advantage of the kyton being distracted, Rowan struck out once again with her morningstar.
attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
The warpriest caught the kyton's exposed back and delivered the maximum amount of damage she was capable of.
