Here is my submission for Wes Roberts. This character was originally someone else entirely, but while creating his backstory I had an idea and went with it. Hopefully someone gets the movie reference :).
I twigged onto it at "Wes Roberts". :p

ok I am wracking my brain to find a way to tie kayla into those stories.
anything I come up with just seems forced fit. I don't like that... it is ok if you would rather not tie Kayla into your stories.
I think I have seen a tie with the Dread Pirate Roberts.. I mean good ole Wesley... I mean Wes Roberts...
Here's a ranger for consideration, if it's not too late. Archer with the Skirmisher archetype. I don't know what level this is planning on going to, but won't be taking an animal companion.
As far as collaboration backstories, I'd be willing to work with you guys. Kest's had plenty of opportunity to meet others traveling through Varisia.
Kayla, that just covers Desi's beginning. Lvl0-1. I always thought of the levels-- especially when starting at higher ones-- as events. They've still got 1-2 that is a blank slate in terms of adventure and encounters. It's your call if you still want to do that.
In terms of tying in with others, if you've seen an opening, go for it. I don't mind.
I am finding openings I just don't know which way to go.
I hope to have something soon though. just need a little time.

And I've actually got five years of travel that I could have easily met anybody. So a prior history with a character wouldn't be much of a stretch for me.
was wondering if it is better to await selections first then work in the connections, just in case someone does not get in that we had a connection to.
I see a connection with Wes, and Kest very easily.
as far as the Aasimar's I need to do a little extra to make it believable. (by that, I mean not a forced introduction, I prefer the story to flow natually. the situation has to be believable to all the players involved.)

Sounds good! Aodhiel would say he's merely a servant of Ragathiel, but that he's happy to be your guide for a time, as he is all those who seek to live well.
what i find interesting..
Kayla and Aodhiel actually have a little in common.. and Ragathiel is a sound choice for Kayla as well, she just would need a little guidance into that direction.
