So what's our plan? It seems like we're hanging around town for one more day then heading back to the cairn? If that's accurate and you don't have any other complications in store for us Fanguar, would it be feasible to hand-wave the intervening time and just jump back into the cairn?

I can totally do that. Let me know what you guys are buying and I'll move us along.

i am ready

Does anyone know what we liquidated from Filge and what it would sell for? Not sure if there's anything for Travigan to buy without knowing how much was earned first =P

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

sorry i dunno, though i would like to know what is my share anyway :)

The Exchange

Sorry I made a post about this this morning. There is 550gp for the party. For whatever.

Maybe scrolls and potions to fight those wind warriors?

Cheers

How about a wand of cure light? I think we're a little short, but maybe we can all pool some cash to make up the difference.

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

a wand of CLW would be lovely but i have no cash to give unfortunatly

HP 35/35, Temp HP , ArmoryHP 64/64, ArmoryDR 5, AC 18/20, Fort +4, Ref +8, Will +7, Perception +12* Portal 12/12, Active Effects:

I have 150 gp. That gets us pretty close.

The Exchange

Instead DM Fanguar could we get a part charged wand. Say 20 charges = 300 gp and that leaves 250gp for potions and scrolls.

1 Scroll of cats grace (150gp)
4 scrolls of magic weapon (100gp)

I think they are neutral or I would suggest prot vs evil. What do you all think?

Cheers

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

Fine with me. although the CL of the cast's grace will be so low i don't think it would be worth it. i'd rather put the 150 gp in the wand of CLW

The Exchange

Yeah I just was trying to think of a good solution to the Reflex saves of sonic attacks and flying warriors means ranged attacks. Increased dex for one fight seemed a good idea. Probably for the alchemist.

We could put it into more healing but that doesn't help us against the wind warriors. but it is much better in the long run.

Any other suggestions folks?

retired

A partial cure light wounds wand is a great idea, as are the scrolls of magic weapon. I don't know that we need to spend that last 150gp either, but if it's burning a hole in our pockets then I'd also prefer we drop that into the wand.

Partially charged wands are fine.

Honestly, the biggest issue you guys had with the last fight was that all of your daily abilities were blown. I imagine that you'll do much better with the PCs rested.

The Exchange

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Then taking the hint and going with the flow,

30 charge wand of cure light wounds and 4 magic weapon scrolls and we is on are way!

Speak now or forever ..... join the Denver broncos Offensive line.

Cheers

Sounds like a solid way to go. Let's do it!

So is it time to kick off our wind warrior rematch? This will be SUPER embarassing if we get trounced again =P

Are we pre-buffing with those scrolls of magic weapon or are they more intended for future use?

Half-orc Wolf Shaman 2, Init +2, AC 19/17, hits 17/25, F+5 R+3 W+5, Perception +8

Ulfak wants people to pre-buff. He will defer to the wisdom of Erethryn since he looks up to him.

Male Elf Oracle 3 (Hp. 24/24, AC.17, CMD. 15, Fort. +2, Refl. +3, Will. +5, Init. +2, Channel Postive Energy, 2d6, 6/6 per day.)

For Pre-buffing:

Erethyn is going to cast Bless for the Party and Shield of Faith for Ulfak. Also he is going to use 1 of the scrolls to to enhance Ulfak's scimitar. The rest will be used on a necessary basis.

Ulfak is going to be our heavy hitter so I'll be boosting him as much as possible. Preferably using your scimitar with your shield to keep up your Ac. as high as we can.

Travigan, your job is going to be to do what you do best and intimidate/demoralize the wind warriors.

The rest of us will be relegated to ranged attacks, scattered about the room and focusing on one enemy at a time.

Set up your tokens on the map how you want them. The wind warrior will be summoned as soon as someone steps onto one of the connecting walkways. When you're all set, let's fire her up.

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

Pre buffing

Shield of Faith on: Sandra, Travigan, Erethyn

Ready :)

I have a Potion of Enlarge Person. Ulfak, do you want it?

My current position on the map looks good to me.

Half-orc Wolf Shaman 2, Init +2, AC 19/17, hits 17/25, F+5 R+3 W+5, Perception +8

Yes Sandra. That would mean that he has enlarge person, longstrider, magic fang, magic weapon and shield of faith running when we start.

That gives;

AC17, +1 scythe +6 (2d6+5) and +1 bite +6 (1d6+5)

or

AC19, +1 scimitar +6 (1d8+5) and +1 bite +6 (1d4+5)

with no crits.

hmmmmmm?

Male Elf Oracle 3 (Hp. 24/24, AC.17, CMD. 15, Fort. +2, Refl. +3, Will. +5, Init. +2, Channel Postive Energy, 2d6, 6/6 per day.)

You'd actually be two handing the scythe so, 2d6+7. I'd go with the scythe then. Forgot they were immune to critical's.

Half-orc Wolf Shaman 2, Init +2, AC 19/17, hits 17/25, F+5 R+3 W+5, Perception +8

yep you are right. may need someone close behind to keep healing us. Ulfak is ready, enlarged and armed with his scythe.

Hello to all,

I am back from my trip so give me a day or two to catch up with the post in this game and the others i play in...

Sandra level in oracle

Well then, I think our resident Druid will benefit greatly from the Wisdom boost.

Now that Trapfinding is a trait and considering that I've never once used either of my current traits, I'm thinking it might be time to re-work Ratchet to be a little more functional.

GM, what do you think? Would a re-build be ok? No big changes, just thinking about going with the Visionary Researcher, rather than the Crypt Breaker archetype.

Half-orc Wolf Shaman 2, Init +2, AC 19/17, hits 17/25, F+5 R+3 W+5, Perception +8

Yes Ulfak would be better able to cast spells like flaming sphere. So the periapt would suit him. However might it not be better in the hands of someone with a low Will save?

Ratchet or Sandra perhaps.

Mostly I'm choosing spells to boost Ulfak in combat and for miscellaneous uses so far. He is meant to be a warrior first and foremost, spells are a sideline.

Cheers

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

the wisdom item should go to you ulfak :)

@Ratchet: I'm fine with tweaking.

@all: Hp is 1/2HD +1

Male Elf Oracle 3 (Hp. 24/24, AC.17, CMD. 15, Fort. +2, Refl. +3, Will. +5, Init. +2, Channel Postive Energy, 2d6, 6/6 per day.)

I just love the amount of role playing we did back in town, but it is funny to think how close we were to the end of the arc for over the past few months.

retired

No kidding Erethyn! I was expecting a larger network of chambers and passages past the wind warriors =P

Hp 93/93 AC 23 (+14 Perc; +6 Init; Fort +6, Ref +15, Will +8)

there is plenty more to go.

My RL almost finished the AP in 7-8 month before being TPK at a sub boss on their way to the final encounter.

retired

Oh, I'm sure there's loads more to go in the Adventure, but I was expecting a bigger expanse of dungeon past the door Alastor got us through. Especially with how big the room with the wind warriors was in and of itself. I just expected more delving, I suppose. Maybe it's because I joined up after all the rest of the tomb had been done.

<shrug>

Male Elf Oracle 3 (Hp. 24/24, AC.17, CMD. 15, Fort. +2, Refl. +3, Will. +5, Init. +2, Channel Postive Energy, 2d6, 6/6 per day.)

So what is everyone's eventual plans with their characters? Sticking with straight class all the way, except for Travigan. Multiclassing or prestige-classing?

retired

Dragon Disciple inbound! =D

Half-orc Wolf Shaman 2, Init +2, AC 19/17, hits 17/25, F+5 R+3 W+5, Perception +8

I like to multi-class but this is a tough AP so probably stick with druid. Fighter or ranger was on the cards but Travigan will quickly outstrip Ulfak as a dragon disciple in raw combat ability so he can be the big hitter. Also wild shaping should be fun.

Not many prestige classes for a druid. The Scarred Lands used to have a couple of powerful ones but that was 3.0E.

Cheers

Male Elf Oracle 3 (Hp. 24/24, AC.17, CMD. 15, Fort. +2, Refl. +3, Will. +5, Init. +2, Channel Postive Energy, 2d6, 6/6 per day.)

Normally I wouldn't bother with the idea of multi-classing but since we have another healing Oracle in play, I'm considering the idea a little more.
