"Heylo"
I will only be able to transfer stats across here after work this afternoon.
I am relatively new to PFS so if someone would vet my sheet I would be much appreciated, once I have it up.
Also, what conventions do you want for speech, internal monologue, etc?
How are maps going to be made available, or are we doing without maps?

For speech I use "Bolded text with quotes." I think in italics.
When maps become relivent, I'll post a link in the Campaign header.
Also, the Gameplay Thread is up as well so you can all dot in and introduce your characters if you'd like.

![]() |

Perfect. I know some gms prefer different styles so thought I would ask.
On the maps side, I mean will you be hosting the maps on an image hosting site or the like?
We have discovered that google slides works REALLY REALLY well for maps.
I will dot in on gameplay once I have my stats up.
I will also explain in here how I am going to try and play Sana

![]() |

So Sana Salvas has crunch now.
In terms of how I intend to play her mechanically, she is a pretty typical healbot. She can pass as a party face with high Cha and Diplomacy as a class skill. As she gains levels I can spread more into that side of things if need be.
The main schtick is to use life link, and channel energy to make in combat healing as useful as possible, while also throwing out some buffs when needed.
Inportant info:
Max speed is 20ft due to lame curse.
Has a potion of CLW in her bandolier in case she gets downed so someone can get her standing again.
In terms of combat the plan was to use a sling when needed until I can invest in something a bit more useful

I have a question GM. What tense do you want us to post in?
I see your post is phrased in present tense, where Trutzburg and Antikas both seem to be writing in past tense.
If it doesn't matter that is fine too.
I personally struggle to write in the past tense :P

It doesn't matter to me. I find that the game runs smoother when folks aren't restricted by details that don't affect gameplay. In other words, write in whatever way is most comfortable for you.

![]() |

I do apologise for all the questions. I have played with some rather peculiar and particular gms to be fair.
I was curious as to whether you have heard anything from our wizard sign ups. He said he was only going to be able to play if his current game finished on time

Gimble, The Storyteller |

As soon as everyone's mostly ready, we'll continue. I'll give you until we actually reach the spire to tweek your characters, so you don't have to rush too much. Feel free to RP in the Gameplay thread in the meantime.
I've PM'd our wizard to see where his current game is at.

![]() |

I've created an alias so I can post. Working on inputting my character sheet. FYI, my new character is PFS# 106385-7.
How does running Spire for PFS work? Is everything sanctioned or only parts of it? Also, I'm used to getting gold and xp at the end of a scenario, how will that work so we can upgrade/get new equipment?

![]() |

I believe the entire thing is sanctioned.
Each level seems to be considered a scenario.
What I am more curious about is if this is event mode or campaign mode. I hear that's a thing. I have spent far too much time trying to figure out how society works, so I am pretty sure I am miss understanding a bunch of stuff.

![]() |

Well if it is event mode the chronicles we get are locked to this character. If it is campaign mode we don't technically need to follow pfs rules, and treat the game as having been with a pregen so we can apply chronicles to other characters

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Here's clarification:
We're running this just like any sanctioned module in normal event mode. The Spire consists of 16 Levels. After each level of the spire a chronicle sheet will be issued. Each Chronicle gives 3XP and up to 4 Prestige with normal progression. Some levels it is recommended to use slow progression so you don't level out of the adventure. I'll let you know if these recommendations as necessary. When finishing the spire your character should be 13th level.
I'm still waiting to hear back from our Wizard. If I don't hear from him this evening, I'll tap the waiting list. In the mean time, I'll post the next part of the intro later on.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Peeking at the wizard's gameplay thread, it looks like they are on the last battle of MoFF (I think).
I think so too. What worries me is that it looks like the session is a holdover from Gameday and is moving at that pace. I also PM'd him about 24 hours ago and haven't gotten a response. I'll give him a little more time, but I'd like to move forward.

![]() |

Twigs for piercing, little rocks for blungeoning and leaves for slashing. Do not cost anything, easily renewable. I imagine he have a sackful and will collect/restock them between journey if he runs low.

![]() |

Eventually I'll be a skirmisher. Right now will try to use reach. Next lvl will dip magus then I can use elven branch spear and elven curved blade with finesse.

![]() |

That sounds like it's gonna be a fun and deadly build.
Shard is pretty weak now but 70% of my spells are gonna be to try make him unstoppable and then Antikas will provide ranged support across the field with a few spells in between. I 'might' dip into Hunter to get a couple of the Hunter spells and some extra feats.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

I apologize for the slow pace this has started out at. The mechanics of this first part is a little different, and I think he's trying to understand where he's at and what he can see and do. I promise it won't be this slow moving forward.
I'll move on tonight after work. It'll be a little later tonight, but the pace will pick up moving forward.
Edit: This was a note I was going to write anyway. I am very aware of the slow pace this has started at. It won't stay this way.

![]() |

From what I can tell, Antikas' light arrow won't get inside until rd 3 so I'm going to try something. If I can't do it all in this rd, I will finish in 2nd. I'm not sure what spells Far has memorized.

![]() |

So far, Far is the only one yet to act. Since Ancient Dragon Master is the DM for one of my games and post at least once per day, it might be IRL.

Gimble, The Storyteller |

Thanks for the update Hadgar. I'll give him some time, sometimes real life stuff happens. I'll give him to at least to the end of this encounter before possibly finding a replacement, or we could do this first level with 5, and get a replacement for the next level.
