Meligaster convenes with Cinro and Shamsiel. "Sham, I trust you. Besides, we have better things to do than buy snake oil. Shall we proceed to the theater?"


8-07 Map DungeonMaster

The heroes ignore the cider. Do you go to the Theater where you were told he went? If so do you use the front door or one of the side doors, one on right, one on second floor left, or back door? Only the front door is unlocked, so disable device of 15 to enter through otherwise
As you all leave the Merchant gives cider to a random citizen
The citizen downs it and he seems okay.

There are exactly four ciders slightly separated from the rest of the ciders, obviously the ciders are behind the counter it is as only those four ciders have been tampered with, as if those very four specific ciders were meant for you.


As the group approaches the Theater, Meligaster points at the various doors, turning to face his comrades. "We should post someone at each point of exit, and send someone more charming than myself through the front door, to chat with our comrade. What say you, gentlemen?"

Just when he's about to follow the rest to the theatre, Drek notices the four ciders apart from the rest. He faces the seller with a suspicious look, and signals the others to come back.

"Wait. Why are these four apart from the rest? What were you trying to do, uh?"

"There are four of us, and I think three exits?" The half-elf doesn't remember exactly. "Maybe two in front, two in back?"

He returns to the merchant when Drek'Thar notices something. "Huuh... That's strange."

The seller responds to Drek Those four are special The Merchant is very shady looking too and kind of a mystery, looks like that Merchant from RE4.
Okay how are you all approaching the Theater?

"Special, huh?" Cinro stares at the merchant but soon gives up and turns to his companions. "Forget the merchant, we should follow the other guy."

We don't have anyone who can pick a lock, so I say we just barge in through the front doors.


Harcourt nods at the front door, pointing at it and nudging Cinro. "Why don't you go make yourself acquainted with our quarry, comrade. I'll wait near the back, ready for him, should he attempt to be uncooperative."

The burly soldier circles the building, waiting near the rear exit, weapon drawn.

Cinro nods, take a deep breath and warily enters the theater, his hand on the handle of the scimitar.

While the rest keep walking, Drek stops just a bit more with the merchant. "What's special about them? Can i smell them?"

He will smell them if allowed. If not allowed, or if not told what's with them for once, he will leave.

Drek, how long do you wait? The theater is 200 feet away, which means you can be 200 feet away from your allies

As Cinro opens the door, two people with longbows fire at him, like they had it ready hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (10) = 15
hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (14) = 19.

These guys are 100 feet away as they are on stage. that was surprise round, now init init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (12) = 15

You can stay here if you'd like and take your time smelling them but regardless if you do or not they don't smell odd or anyting.
And then you run up to catch up to your allies showing up the theater a little late you are 10 feet behind Cinro who opened the door, Shamsiel is 5 ft behind Cinro.
Alright, if you beat a 15 init, you may act, enemies 100 feet from you armed with longbow, seat for you to duck behind as cover, flight of stairs for you to go up.

Meligaster bellows a roar, more annoyed than truly angry, but also not one to pass up a chance to roar at someone trying to kill him. He dashes toward the archers, slapping his shield with his axe and bellowing at the enemies. "Stand down, or this blade will be in your gullet soon enough, lads! We've no quarrel with you, but no wish to become flesh quivers, either!"

and botting people

He Maligaster moves up and strikes the next guy hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (2) = 7
dmg: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

The last bandit tries to hit He Maligaster hit: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (5) = 8

All heroes are up again One bandit up on stage and you know that merchant he know arrives at the front of the door, so you archers now have someone behind you.


Meligaster maintains his assault on one of the bandits, bringing his axe back up to catch the man in the leg.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Cinro moves back to the front doors and shoots another couple of blasts into the merchant - attack first, ask questions later.

Reeling from the attack, Shamsiel calls upon his angelic blood to heal some of these wounds. He then fires another bolt of eldritch energy at one of the bowmen.

He Maligaster takes down the guy on stage with a single strike and Cinro can't hit, but Shamsiel does blast the merchant in the leg.
Drek'Thar can't hit the dead guy on stage so he goes after the merchant
con: 1 + 1d20 ⇒ 1 + (10) = 11 and He is freezing, but he tries to attack Shamsiel with greatsword
hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
hit disadvantage: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
dmg: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8
Heroes are up again and the merchant is bleeding badly.

I think the last attack hit Shamsiel and he may be down. Does a tie on AC go to the defender?? Otherwise, the 15 hits and he takes 8hp, knocking him unconscious.

Shamsiel is down, anyone wish to get him up? Also looting the bodies finds no treasure only bows and arrows and shortswords, while the merchant having a greatsword. And no clues on the bodies to show who they may have worked for.

Can we not kill the merchant? We should probably interrogate him - that's why I tried to grapple him.

The heroes didn't kill the merchant, as they dealt non-lethal damage to him as they actually knocked him out and he has a massive headache when he wakes up.

Cinro rips some cloth from the merchant and bandages Shamsiel's wounds.

Stabilizing Shamsiel: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 He's stable.

After that he wakes the merchant up. "Why did you follow and ambush us?"

You were too close to solving the the murder, which is bigger than you. I'm not the one who killed him, but I was hired. You want info on the investigation find Omast Frum, the first guard to arrive one scene and ask him about the White Swords. But I'm not allowed to tell you any more. He can be found at the South Tower of Truanu's wall.
The Merchant then realizes he is partly unclothed and screams
Okay, who is approaching the tower and talking to Omast Frum? Still getting use to what the group wants, so I won't force you to roleplay out this part, but I assume someone wants to

You bring the assassin to the guards and place him under arrest. You then travel to the South Tower of located near Trunau's inner wall.
When you get there Omast is very drunk and has a beer in his hand. It was my job to look after Rodrik and I failed though he actually slurs his words. Then he takes another drink of his beer. I was away for five minutes, just a few rooms away and he is dead.

Okay, I guess you're right. Anyway I have been trying to clean up strange graffti all over Trunau, not sure if it is connected, but worth a try, white sword in the commons, barterstones, hopespring, sanctuary and the south tower, must be a secret message or a group. Also he meet a strange half-orc about a week ago named Katrezra.
He cheers up Drinks anyone, bloodstone brew for everyone. And Katreza can be fround at the Sanctuary normally. bloodstone brew is an artificially cherry flavored dark lager

Tyari Varvatos, a female human Cleric of Iomedae walk up to you. She is a very beautiful blonde female, tall and psychically fit, but not body built strong. She gives you all a smile, introduces herself with a friendly pleasant voice. I'm sorry, but Katreza is not here, he usually is, but he disappeared a few days ago without telling anyone.
