Lindale's strikes count as magic, and if Gabriel could smite, then smite evil ignores damge reduction.

I think shadow are resistant to non-magical strikes? The incorporeality is just a problem we will have to suck up. I'm waiting to hear back whether the light was effective. I think Lindale should go after the shadow and I will go after the drow.[/ooc]

He's uncomfortable in the light, but it's not really effecting him. It's like a drow walking around in a well lit tavern, not ideal but not really painful.

"Beware the witch! She's absorbed the beast's lifeforce!" Perhaps I could learn a thing or two from her... Dalton feared those as smart - or smarter - than himself. This Drow could well be one of them. He'd prevented use of her weapon, but he could not stop her magic. He could, however, make her more vulnerable to his allies. That was his hope, anyway.

With a wave of his hand and a baritone invokation, the earth beneath the Drow's feet parted.

Dalton shifts the land underneath the drow, and she collapses into the hole. The shadow gives a wicked, hollow laugh and passes a cold, ethereal hand through Toramin again, this one leaving quite the mark as it sucks the strength away from the dwarves limbs. Arjax arcs his bow down and lands a solid arrow in the drows leg, causing her to hiss in pain. Toramin slowly lifts his hammer, feeling the weight of it drag on his weak limbs, but still manages to bring it up and around to land on the drow. As Lindale stabs forward at the shadow the drow noble finally recovers from her fall, but instead of standing up she says the same incantation she said the first time (eating another wack from Toramin) and the room drops dark...eerily dark. So dark even those with darkvision are blinded.

Not sure if there’s a negative modifier due to the low-light levels -- but after seeing that roll, it doesn't matter.

The shadow recoils in surprise as Dalton lands a solid hit on it, and it drifts away into the wall, disappearing from sight. Arjax watches the drow raise her shield to catch his arrow, the drows morale rising as Gabriel fails to rise from her magic. Toramin is having a hell of a time fighting in his drained state, not being strong enough to bang past the drows shield. Bjorkus charges and brings a blow down on the drows armor, leaving a terribly dent but not hurting any flesh. The drow narrows her eyes at the minotaur, bringing her flashing black rapier forward and sliding it in Bjorkus's leg. It's a wound that hardly bleeds, but suddenly negative energy explodes outwards from the wound and leaves a much larger hole. She grins, but her victory is short lived when Bjorkus ignores the wound and continues to fight her.
