It sounds like the slave might end up accidentally kill him and Bjorkus wouldn't want to risk that.

Well the slave is also taking him off assuming it's a corpse, not a living person.

Bjorkus got him stable. In theory the masked healers will fix him up.

Depending on how long this story arc goes on I might get the feat that let's you mask spellcasting with a performance.

That is a pretty cool feat, but Gabe already stabilized before Bjorkus got to him. You, uh, gave him a hoofprint. XD And managed to convince one of the slavers not to cut him up right away. Instead they're going to leave him outside the 'animal feed' room for the guy Bjorkus spoke to.

So far none of that is really saved or near the masked healers.

I'm all seriousness, the healers are pretty single-minded in their purpose and Bjorkus is confident that they'll patch Gabe up. It's not worth Bjorkus exposing his magical talents and getting us both in hot water.

Oh, no, I agree on that point. I'm just not certain Gabe will see a healer. He's going to be sent to the butchers room, but whats the guy Bjorkus spoke to going to do when he comes to 'pick Gabe up'? Maybe if 'Ares' speaks to one of the masked men to patch Gabe up before the other guy gets there or something...

I don't know at this point. I think our DM has something planned, but its always hard to tell if its the 15 levels of evil or the five levels of good. Considering Gabe is even still alive at this point, I'd have to guess the latter, since there really isn't anyway any of the party can save him and that leaves, well, NPCs like the masked folk.

If you're interested, Bjorkus, the NPC circus in our other game has reached its zenith for me. I have now lost track of who is playing how many characters which may or may not be townspeople. Combined with the fact there were about 250 posts in the gameplay thread from them in less than two days, it was a bit much.

I forgot to mention this, but most of the tower shields were lost when the Dust Digger reared it's ugly head. Gabriel and slave 12 managed to not fall so they each saved one.
