You are able to determine the potions to be Cure Moderate Wounds.
If anyone else wants to attempt identifying the gear, feel free to do so.
It takes 3 hours to trek through the cavern systems. The tunnels turn into a ruined state of manufactured stone. Expertly worked walls and ceilings that reach 20ft in height, and floors that have masterfully worked stone tiles. Reddish stains coat any metallic surfaces that were once here, and the smell of earth and mold is prevalent in the air.
Twin doors etched with scenes of dwarven glory stand atop a raised marbled dais. Flanking this remarkable entrance, two mammoth statues of dwarven warriors hold out their hands in a silent welcome. Deep lines carved into the statues might have once been inlaid with various metals, though they are now empty. Ochre graffiti covers much of the fine architecture.
Map is updated.

Boftil back to full health
At the sight of the desecrated statues, Boftil spits on the ground. "Stinkin' orcs! Anyone mind if I go back and smash their corpses around a bit more? I didn't really get enough of me anger out on that lot!"

![]() |

The stone doors remain strong, and although the orcs have failed to break their way into the area beyond, they have thoroughly marked it as their territory with paint and other substances.
Daedin spots something hidden within the cleft in the rock wall. It appears to be some sort of lever.

The passage way appears untrapped.
This type of passageway would be used by dwarves, commonly to ambush and surprise intruders at their gate.
A porticullus lies ahead in the passage. It appears as someone has tried to bar it shut completely.
Beyond the bars of the porticullus is a deceased dwarf body.
Been brought to my attention that someone levelled up and pushed us into diet high tier. To accommodate for the fight just a bit ago, please choose a class resource to be 1 lower on. Can be a spell, rounds of rage, etc. That should rebalance it a bit :)

The deceased dwarf female on the ground beyond the smashed entryway has a uniquely designed hammer. A word is written into the hilt.

”Poor lass. We need to give her remains a proper rest.” Thorek said this as he picked up the hammer. ”Oathkeeper. By Kols a good name.”
How Old is the corpse?

![]() |

Lorian is not detecting the presence of magic.
Thorek sees that the body is actually quite old. It is in rough enough condition that getting an estimate is rough, but at least 500+ years.

"Matsu, I am sure that Thorek intends to return the weapon to the family, if they exist after all these centuries, however, I have a feeling that there is a reason a weapon with the name "Oathkeeper" is here for a reason. Let Thorek take up the mantle that this weapon was tasked to complete." Lorian said.

![]() |

As Matsu confounds Thorek, Daedin sees the hallway is untrapped in any way. Upon opening the door, the chamber goes further North, and the original entrance is south.
A solid mass of black rock shaped into an anvil overlooks a colossal chamber from atop a balcony. Resting next to the anvil, an elaborate weapon rack that resembles a row of dwarven maidens. The maiden nearest the anvil holds a stone warhammer snuggly within her grasp. The other two maidens’ hands are empty but appear designed to hold hafted objects. Flanking the anvil, two promenades lead to stairways that descend into the immense chamber below.

![]() |

After a brief investigation of the room, it appears that the other hammers are not located in this room. Past the anvil is another large chamber.
Several bas reliefs decorate the walls of this colossal chamber. The wall art depicts images of dwarven triumph—smiths forging perfect weapons, warriors defeating savage orcs, clergy venerating dwarven gods, and merchants counting glittering coins—and hundreds of these scenes cover the chamber’s walls. The only surfaces not covered in sculpture are the three sets of large stone doors to the north, east, and west.

Eyes wide with wonder, Thorek took in the scene. From wall to wall he walked, reading every inscription and thinking of every bit of lore he knew. Especially as to what purpose the missing hammers might serve...and where they might be.

The black anvil is meant to be struck by the three hammers in question. This was a ceremony usually that had some special properties behind it. What in question would happen after doing so is not known to you.
From up here, Daedin spies no traps or tracks.

![]() |

Boftil follows along behind Thorek, a look of deep thought tinged with sadness upon his gruff face. "Mate, I have ta admit that bein' amongst all this history of the old folk makes me consider me life in a different light. I've tried to cut meself off from me past for so long...but I forgot what I was missin. I'm still not sure that I'm worthy after I let me clan down but this stuff touches somethin' inside me I thought had died long ago!"

Thorek nodded. "Aye." He said quietly. "That it does. Take is as a sign." He raised his hand, showing the tattoo of Kols (the dwarven deity of oaths and duty) which was etched on it. "Long ago, I did. And am happier for having done so."

As you move up to the door on the Western side, you realize that it is not trapped, but it is indeed locked. Daedin's quick efforts make light work of the locked door.
While he works on the door, the rest of the party gets a good look at the stonework in the chamber.
• The first of these reliefs depicts a sinister dwarf toiling over a forge, his hammer emblazoned with a mark of a stone arch that contains a burning fire.
This is the holy symbol of Droskar, the Dwarven God of Toil and Cheating.
• The second relief portrays a stern dwarf pointing downward with one hand and slamming a gavel with the other, and the Dwarven word for “Oath-keeper” is written on the hammer.
You can identify the god as Kols, dwarven god of justice and oaths.
• The final relief depicts a stoic dwarf working at a forge and wielding a hammer bearing the name “Kaglemros.”
You can recognize this as Torag, chief among the dwarven pantheon and god of creation.

”Behold. First we have Droskar. The betrayer. He who was cast out of our pantheon. He is the Slavs master. Next we have the god I am sworn to. Kols. The lord of duty and paths. He wields oathkeeper, which is what is written on this hammer as well. And finally there is Torag, the Forge-Father. I wonder, the hammers we need to find, are they related to these gods?”

![]() |

Lorian did his best to keep a straight face."Then we need to search this place to see if we can find them. We will have to hammer this out. Forward to forge our destiny." he said, hoping that the Dwarves had a sense of humor.
