The Starfinders are able to just keep up, though Orsis pulls into the lead!

It looks like only Ratrod hit us. Velocity should have been marked as a miss. Disregarding it.

After knocking against the wall Chetna is actually lined up with a good route. She hammers the throttle and pilots like a mad woman despite the incoming fire. "I'm trying to avoiding incoming fire, but--" She weaves to avoid a junk pile. "--it's a race track and I can't really juke that much."

Correct you did not get hit. that was just a copy / paste error on my part.

Kentalch is able to strike Ratrod's vehicle with a bit of shrapnel from his cannon. The strike sends dents into the frame and treas the metal to ribbons.

TRS examines the damage of the two vehicles and determines that they should hold up fine to the finish line.

Nyizin seems more focused on his speed than getting struck as even though Alimony's shot wasn't that well lined up. It still manages to clip the racer.

Chetna uses the wall to line up their route and locks the racer into full throttle.

Nyizin is an excellent racer as she is able to keep her racer well on course after being blasted twice!

This round proves far more beneficial to the Starfinders as the varying shots slows down everyone in the race and even manages to put Ratrod to a complete stop as he slams at his controls cursing!

Velocity and the Starfinders tie as they narrowly cross the finish line.

Tying the race is enough to satisfy Radaszam, as he is vaguely amuse at the result. This twist in events provides the Starfinder Society with valuable contacts in the Salvage Union, leaving Radaszam exasperated.

Laboni apologizes to Ratrod for her previous statements. The ysoki’s pride still hurts, but the gesture compels the Salvage Union to offer Laboni some extra payment in the form of collected gear, on top of the race’s prize money. In turn, Laboni presents you with a set of graphite carbon skin armor and 400 credits from the race’s prize pool.

The Exo-Guardians do not currently have a headquarters on Absalom Station, but their leader, Zigvigix, resides in the poor but trendy neighborhood of Downlow. A long-standing member of the Exo-Guardians, Zigvigix suffered severe injuries prior to the Society’s expedition to the Scoured Stars, which prevented them from taking part. Zigvigix became overwhelmed with survivor’s guilt for not being present for the ill-fated expedition. Eventually, they took up leadership of the remaining Exo-Guardians on the advice of First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo, turning their survivor’s guilt into something constructive.

Garbage litters the ground around the district’s largest art park—a cement lot filled with undulating metal sculptures and covered in graffiti of grotesquely adorable creatures. The sounds of music and chatter drift over from the nearby clubs, chronically interrupted by the roar of the local gangsters’ engines. A heavily augmented host shirren is sitting on one of the park benches, eating a simple meal of cold grub-noodles and rice candy. Their antennae perk up at the tremor of approaching footsteps. “Welcome, new Starfinders! And congratulations!” the shirren’s voice telepathically projects. “My speech-name is Zigvigix, but feel free to call me Ziggy, if that would be easier for you. Have some rice candy to celebrate your graduation! Today is your big day!"

“When you are ready, I have two assignments I could use assistance with. The first is to help me secure a new headquarters on Absalom Station. I’ve been in talks with our station’s protectors, the Stewards, and they were kind enough to give us ownership of a warehouse here in Downlow for that purpose! The current owners no longer want it because a vicious alien took it over and kills anyone who goes inside. Once the alien is gone and the warehouse cargo has been returned to its owners, we can start installing desks and computers, so please go in and incinerate the creature!"

"One of these sounds substantially harder than the other. I'll let you guys take the easy one while I go purchase and deliver the album," Chetna grins.

"That was the best thing in...ever!" Alimony marvels. "Is this, like, a weekly event? Because I would love to do this again."

The ysoki listens intently to Ziggy's briefing. "Meet new and interesting creatures, then kill them. Sounds like the motto of that old army...We can do this. But are you sure, Chetna? Maybe we can send the drone to do that. Hey Trash, can your friend talk?"

Trying to hide his excitement about the newest SMC album, they're a bit of a guilty pleasure to the orc.

"Come on Chetna, let's all go to the warehouse, that way we'll deal with whatever is in there faster. And then we can all go and protect you from the crazy crowds waiting for the album."

"That's very considerate of you, Kentalch. Yeah, I'm not really looking forward to all of those nutty fans flocking to the store." Chetna heads with the group to the warehouse.

As you arrive in the Downlow District station security allows you through the force barrier set up around the perimeter of the warehouse.
The doors to the warehouse were forced open and no longer lock. The warehouse ceiling is 30 feet high, and a catwalk runs 15 feet above the floor. The crates and vehicle are approximately 5 feet tall, while the cylindrical containers and the crate-filled scaffolding are 10 feet tall.

Climbing the crates and scaffolding requires a successful DC 10 Athletics check. A pit in the warehouse floor is 10 feet deep. The scattered junk on the floor creates an area of difficult terrain. The lights on the catwalk are not bright enough to illuminate the area, leaving the warehouse in dim light.

Looking around the entrance noone seems to see anything out of the ordinary. Kentalch moves to a higher vantage but the warehouse is immense and will likely take a bit of searching.

Chetna quietly pulls her pistol and knife and begins to search the warehouse.

Alimony is oblivious to the viability of the stealth approach for a few seconds, until he notices his companions enacting it. He retrieves his pistol and fans out as quietly as he can.

Will continue moving west and perhaps slightly north until I see something out of the ordinary.

Chetna steps just slightly further into the room as Alimony moves around north to investigate the massive hole. Both see nothing of interest. Chetna peers down into the darkness. It must go down for several hundred feet!

This is kind of a hot cold game.

"Mind the gap," Chetna whispers to the others and indicates the hole.

Quick question: The cables on the map, do they lead up to the hole and stop as if something were there and is now gone or do the cables continue down further into the hole as if dragged there with purpose?

They do not look to be dragged there with any purpose.

Ken starts walking around the catwalk, searching for anything out of the ordinary.

Kentalch finds nothing out of the ordinary on the long catwalk.

Though as he nears the center of the room, the pile of junk shifts. it looks to have been some form of a nest.

From out of the wreckage of the smashed crate an alien of truly strange evolution rises up! What is that?! Make a life Science check DC 13 and I'll tell you. It looks like a mass of tentacles and feathers. There are spines all over the... does it even have a body? the whole thing is covered in a shimmering skin-like coating of mystical force.
