Kajar fires an arrow at the Taldan Knight. The arrow clatters harmlessly off of the knights armor.

Roscoe moves in towards the hobgoblins in a defensive position as Kirian tries his luck at archery once again. Unfortunately his arrow fall short into the soft sand at Gaspar's feet.

The hobgoblins begin to fan out and fire a hail of arrows at the party.

@Rilia- You healed one earlier in the scenario which dropped you down to 2 NL from resting.

Yup That would top everyone off and get rid of the NL damage. Except for the arrow Kirian just took.

Rilia gallantly rides Saint Cuthbert into the mass of hobgoblins as arrows rain down all around her. Her actions and rising song begin to inspire everyone around her.

Saint Cuthbert lurches forwardand botes the throat of the yellow furred hobgoblin, ending it's life as it lies bleeding out in the soft sand.

Sir Gaspar grimaces at the mortally wounded creature. Worthless...

Lance circles about and lashes out at the red hobgoblin. The creature swiftly ducks underneath Lance's weapon unscathed.

Jhon Doe assumes a defensive position as he creeps forward into the fray.

Sir Gaspar quickly quaffs a potion from his belt and points at Lance. You seem to be the strongest of this lot. Care to partake in some one on one combat?

Behind the Pathfinders' melee, Jamila and her Djinni are ravaging the hobgoblin troops. The Djinni's sword easily take out two or three hobgoblins a round as it floats throughout the air, while Jamila fires of gouts of electricity dropping several greenskins. The hobgoblins falls to the ground as small tendrils of smoke wisp up from their burnt skin.

Kajar sees Jhon up against the hobgoblin wearing the red silks and moves to his fellow's aid.

As he dashes across the sand he yells, "Give him back to Hell, Lance!"

Kajar brings his axe to bear with both hands into the hobgoblin.

Dashing across the soft sand Kajar brings his axe down hard against the hobgoblin in red silks. The blow splits it's armor wide open as it's chest quickly follows.

Roscoe runs right in between Saint Cuthbert's legs as he slashes his wakizashi at the green sashed hobgoblin. The hobgoblin dodges the deadly blade as it takes a step back, kicking sand in Roscoe's direction.

Kirian's aim is a little better but not enough as Saint Cuthbert and Roscoe move into his line of sight, blocking any decent shots at the hobgoblin.

The hobgoblins quickly drop their bows and draw a deadly looking scimitar. They let out a hyena-like cackle as they rush in at Roscoe and Kajar.

I assume that on his turn, Jhon will move 5' out of the way (as discussed in game thread and ooc)so that Lance can get a straight line towards the enemy. If the Goblin is not dead it does't matter, Lance will just provoke as he thunders by as a Goblin can't really stop him

Lance sees the charge lane open up and prods his stallion Flash to full charging speed as he takes a tilt at Sir Gaspar, "For Lady Gloriana! You are unworthy of being a Knight of Taldor!"

Flash immediately picks up speed and kicks across the desert sand towards the waywar Taldane betrayer.

Seen the cavalier wants to charge, and kill, Gaspar, Jhon moves away, tumbling and jumping to avoid the attacks of the goblin. Once he´s in position to flank with Kajar, he thrust the hobgoblin.

Stab, flanking: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 = 181d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

@GM Tyranius: That second attack hit. Roscoe's AC is currently 15; Roscoe didn't specify donning armor towards the last part. 3 less for no studded leather; Roscoe may be down.

Jhon Doe stumble out of the way just as Lance begins to barrel straight at him. Regaining his footing Jhon stabs his blade right through the hobgoblin's chest.

Lance barrels past Jhon, nearly trampling the swashbuckler as he makes a beeling for the corrupt knight. Gaspar readies his greatsword and braces his feet. Feeling confident that he can weather the blow the knights eyes grow wide as he sees Lance shift his lance a few more inches up. The tip of the lance cracks against Gaspar's helm, ripping his head to the side with an audible snap as his neck breaks. The knight is flung to the ground in a heap.

Nice Crit! he actually had decent health. lol

The group makes quick work of the two remaining hobgoblins as Saint Cuthbert's heavy hoof smashes into their chests, caving them in.

Jamila and her Djinni continues to sweep through the hobgoblins with devastating efficiency. Seeing their numbers rapidly dwindle and Sir Gaspar dead in the sand the remaining hobgoblins flee into the desert.

Clapping the sand off her hands Jamila and her Djinni approach Lance. Glad you guys caught up with us. She peers into the water cart at the sight of the prone ex-slave-boy. What happened to Atmar?

Calling it as there is only 1 hobgoblin left with insanely low AC and HP.

"Atmar had a fall, but he will recover and he will be a free man now. Harpies attacked us, and like Gaspar, they found we had the answers to the problems they presented us"

"Now we shall finish our quest" Lance goes back to looking the dashing cavalier, very pleased to have tested himself against Gaspar.

Kajar dusts himself off and fist-bumps Jhon. "Thanks for the help, mate!"

Kajar smiles his toothy grin.

"Lance, what a move! Now that the traitor is dispatched, we can give Venture-Captain Targos his proper rights when we reach Katheer."

Roscoe does his best tough guyhalfing impression and slowly staggers his way to the fallen Gaspar to see if he has any potions on him.

Kirian's bow droops to the ground.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on!"

Roscoe limps over and very slowly begins to go through Gaspar's belongings. Unfortunately the Halfling does not find any sort of divine healing. All he finds is what Sir Gaspar is wearing.

As Kirian demands to know what is going on Jamila moves into her explanation of the plot to raid the Silken Caravan. She admits to being a janni and explains that she has known Targos Min-Katheer for over 40 years, serving as both ally and sometimes lover to the heroic Pathfinder. She states that the two of them had stumbled upon a plot by parties unknown to cripple Qadira’s economy by disrupting trade along the Silken Way. They had narrowed it down to just a few local merchants, but Targos began feeling the effects of his advanced age after suffering from heart pains and decided he would be ineffective in completing the mission. By agreement, rather than allowing Targos to slowly dwindle away from his ailments, Jamila gave him a dose of venom from a desert scorpion, and the famed venture-captain peacefully passed on to the afterlife. She and Targos felt the chances were great that the plotter would use the event of the trade route protector’s death to launch his plot. As such, she carefully ensured that all of the suspected merchants would be on the same caravan on which Targos’s body would travel with his Pathfinder escort.

Though she thought Hokama might be the plotter, it turns out it was Gaspar who murdered his partner so he could secretly pay off a pair of harpies to waylay travellers along the Silken Way in conjunction with strikes by his hired band of desert brigands. Gaspar had hoped to attract the greater harpy colonies of southern Qadira to the easy pickings of the trade route and thus seal off the route for years to come. Once Jamila realized that the Pathfinders were still alive and could help her, she broke her cover and moved to end the threat to the all-important Silken Way. The rest of the trip to Katheer is uneventful.

Upon arriving in Katheer, Targos Min-Katheer is given a hero’s funeral attended by many Pathfinders (including some of the Ten), as well as notables from the satrap’s court and a few genie-kin from the deep desert. Jamila claims Gaspar’s wares as compensation for the danger he placed her caravan under, but will gracefully offers her ring of djinni summoning over to the Pathfinder Society.

The End! Feel free to RP it out. I will have Chronicles completed tomorrow. Hope you all enjoyed even though this is an insanely unfair scenario for lower tier.

Kirian nods, takes the rose (inexplicably appearing in the desert), and solemnly places it on the venture-captain's casket.

Kajar stays for Targos Min-Katheer's rites, and drops a few rose petals on the storied Pathfinder's grave. He remembers the thieves, knights, and knaves he met along the trail leading from Trunau to the Worldwound, and points past in what feels like another lifetime.

"I'll be honored to have such a crowd at my pyre. Let us do what is best, what is right, and what is needed, friends. May we all meet again when the sun is high and the ale is cold!"
