I ask this question with every group and game I play with, and I love every answer.
If your character had a voice actor, who would they be? Time, ethnicity, and professionalism don't matter, so you could have a once great comedian, a foreign historical figure, or even a Youtuber voice your character!
Febida Stonehair would sound something like Ashley Johnson, only maybe a little deeper. Fegida is no lightweight, and she knows it!
GM, you can get in on this too! What does the story narrator sound like? Or what do you think Venture Captain Drengle Drang sounds like?
GM Tyranius |
I am going with Morgan Freeman.

Voice - kindy geeky, over the top, clumsily expressed. Bit like the science guy in agents of shield mixed w Benedict cumberbatch.
Hakuzo Akari |
I don't know actors, but I imagine Hakuzo speaks somewhat quickly, in slightly high-pitched tones. Or maybe like Fitz the aforementioned Agents guy before he went crazy.
Edit: Or maybe Usopp. I can't even decide now.

As for my voice actor, I would have to say Michael Clarke Duncan. Deep and monotonous to a degree.
Eveladane tsalion |
Hey folks. Not exactly the most impressive first round in history! Hopefully we'll get on the case and start kicking some tail - only of the dog variety, no foxes of course ;-)
GM Tyranius |
Ah no biggie. I will correct the damage line :) easy fix
Morrin the Stout |
As a quick question, how many pieces of rubble that 5lbs or less are within 15 feet of Morrin? If none are, I'll use another sling bullet.
GM Tyranius |
There are various sizes of rubble. You won't have a problem finding pieces 15 lbs or less
Morrin the Stout |
Haha, 5 lbs or less within 15 feet, so yay for lots of ammunition!
GM Tyranius |
Yes. Had to make and play a character before November 25th of last year and get a specific chronicle attached. Gm credit did not count
Morrin the Stout |
Had to get locked in, which I had managed on the last day. Woo on luck, and now waiting for the book to come out to see what new tricks I can play with. At the moment, in my area, there are three kineticists that are played. All of us are quite different too, haha.
Eveladane tsalion |
hey.
quick realism vs meta-gaming question. Looking at this combat and how we post asynchronously what happens when -
player a posts an action,
then player b, who's higher in the turner order, but posts later, kills it before player a's go comes up?
does the action get converted somehow, or does it just suck/ get written off to the chaotic swirl of combat?
kinda penalises the person who's on the case with posting promptly, which seems a bit unfair...
Morrin the Stout |
I would say that maybe both attacks hit almost near the same time, but the higher initiative person should hit first. It seems unfair, but you did get to move before me, and I kinda lurk the forums while at work, haha.
Since you are higher on the list than I, I would like to add to my post, since I can't edit now; If the Acid Splash seems to take out the red dog, my attack will be towards the green dog with the soft cover penalty.
The Dandy Hobo |
It's one of the costs of PbP games operate; for the GM, it's more advantageous to have players all post when they can and try to sort it out versus forcing each player to post in order. The latter usually causes more delays than the hassle of trying to reorganize actions.
I can't say for this GM, but for myself, I'll try to redirect targets or something as best as I can if one player's action invalidates another's. It's an art more than a science, but as I said, it's part of the nature of PbP.
GM Tyranius |
Yes if there is another target to redirect it I will. If no available target is there then it becomes instant attacks on same target. I try to do what would make the most sense to the advantage of the players since that is what their intentions were in the first place.
Morrin the Stout |
Bah, I keep on forgetting to switch the drop down selection to Morrin when posting. Sorry if there's any confusion in the Player/Character Tabs because of it!
Also, I gorgot to add my email!
Morrin the Stout |
Not going to really be around during the weekend. Some family issues came up, so if botting is needed to run the game, please do so. I should be back within 48 hours.
Febida Stonehair |
Crap crap crap. I know what those are.
GET ME OUTTA THERE!!!!
Eveladane tsalion |
Hey folks, looks like we need to actually think a bit... gulp! undead and our blunt weapon, positive energy, healer is lying a pool of blood!
Stating the obvious - morrin is going to be our saviour with his stones.
all i can do is cast a summon monster. could do a fiendish dog. fire resist 5 and trip attack. does that seem worth it? will only last a couple of rounds, and i'm low on the initiative totem pole...
hazuko can you pull febida out the way, also didn't she keep hold of the CLW wand, assuming you've got decent UMD maybe you can bring her round - for that matter use it on the skellies? what other spells have you got?
swashbucklers, any blunt weapons? or just hoping for high damage rolls?
Erm, i dunno how tough these guys are, if they're 1hd then we can probably tough it out, but if they've got more HP's than that we might be in real trouble...
actually i'm about to post most of this IC, but i thought i'd ask and see what people thought here too.
The Dandy Hobo |
@Eve: Oddly, I should have grabbed a cestus but did not... faux pas on my part. However, I can use my whip to trip the skeletons. All things considered, though, Dandy won't hit his stride until level 3, so he's very weak right now!
As far as Summon, the Fiendish dog sounds great.
Oddly, the bottleneck may come in handy to some degree, but gotta get Febida out of the way first; another reason I used my whip from my position instead of get closer, so we could have room to drag Febida out!
Kel Na' Yaa |
Sadly, all I've got is this dueling sword. I'm going be relying on Opportune Parry and Riposte.
Morrin the Stout |
So, how are we on moving Febida with the repositioning or draging maneuvers? I do have a potion of CLW or much to our dwarf's chagrin, Troll Oil.....
Hakuzo Akari |
Yeah, we're in a tough spot. I have Grease, Enlarge Person, Message, Daze, Ray of Frost, and Light. Most of those won't be very helpful but I think I made a good choice of bloodline (remember, Hakuzo said his father was a vampire).
I think I should not be the one to drag Febida, as I am not only weak but I have a cunning plan I will elaborate on soon. I can't tell if I can use UMD untrained at all. I really should put a rank or two there, though.
Morrin the Stout |
Trying a drag maneuver, as that should take Febida out of the way.
Eveladane tsalion |
@ hazuko -yeah, good backstory and generally good spells. However, right now nothing that quite fits. and yeah UMD is worth investing in.
@ kel - maybe you stay on the defensive and try to hold the line... not good if they are doing aura damage though?
@ morrin - seems crazy for you to be pulling hebida out as your our main damage dealer. The drag/reposition rules are for foes, but presumably you can just move her as an action?
healing wise - didn't dandy pick up some smelling salts? But if we want her out the way this round it needs to be you.
Then maybe next round dandy can give hakuzo the salts and he can bring her round?
just looking at summons the dog doesn't come with trip anymore, therefore i'm going to do a pony - more hp and although they're rubbish at least it's hooves are blunt...
i don't know about you guys, but i'm used to PFS fights being easy (4 modules all lvl 1) - this is a bit of a change!
Morrin the Stout |
Oh, I live for encounters like this! We are beginning pathfinders, so we shouldn't be all powerhouses, with exception of two certain classes which are majorly overpowered at level 1....
Morrin has smelling salts, troll oil, and a potion of CLW, but he's pulled out the potion and will be force feeding it to Febida.
Febida Stonehair |
Wait a second, Hakuzo, is your sorcerer bloodline Undead?
If it is, that skeleton needs to make a fort save with its Cha mod instead of its nonexistent Con mod!
Some undead are susceptible to your mind-affecting spells. Corporeal undead that were once humanoids are treated as humanoids for the purposes of determining which spells affect them.
This means Hakuzo can affect them with Daze!
Hey Hakuzo, can you put a statblock up? That way we don't have to question it.
GM Tyranius |
Ok thanks. Got the save rolled in gameplay.
Eveladane tsalion |
Pony stats - if useful
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/animals/horse/pony/summon ed-creature-pony-horse
Hp 13 AC 11 f5 r 4 w 0
2 hooves -3 d3
Fire resist 5, summoned for 2 rounds...
GM Tyranius |
Mostly right except that ponies don't have Fire resistance
This is a direct link from the summon monster spell
Eveladane tsalion |
here it says they're summoned with either celestial or fiendish template. I'm LN and would prefer fiendish (for the fire resist...)

But GM is boss!
GM Tyranius |
Nope you are correct. I missed the template addition. With you being neutral. So it is cold and fire.
