Hey guys, I'm going to be gone from Friday afternoon to late Sunday. I'll be on a snowshoeing hiking trip in Northern Vermont, where my connectivity is spotty at best. I'm guessing I won't be posting until I get back.

I just found, purchased ($6.00) and am playing a delightfully cheezy 1990's PC game--the same game I played to pass the time on my wedding day morning, Masters of Magic. Awesome!!!

I need to find the manual for MoM...it's complicated and there's a lot I forget. There are many options (races, magic specialization, etc). If you don't know the game, you NEED the manual as a lot is not intuitive
I don't know about you all, but having Kappi to keep the Rimepelt is keeping me as the GM says very entertained.
With the that being said, Kappi, you need to microwave those dice, or other things that can't be mentioned here. Haha!
Agreed on all accounts. I've got one character who can't roll above a 9 in an Iron Gods game (Ali is in it too). It's brutal.

My apologies for being MIA last week. Nearly every bit of last week's time was swallowed by frenetic apartment/house-hunting excursions.
On the plus side, the fam has secured a new residence beginning May 1, so 1) that frenetic pace should slow a bit, at least until the end of April; and 2) my wife can continue to work at her job in the city, which she absolutely loves.
I will get a post up later today and move things along. Thank you for your patience. :-)

oh em effing gee.
I had the best weekend at GameOnicon. BOTH repeat BOTH of my children (son of 14 and daughter of 12) have been bitten by The Pathfinder Society Bug. In fact, after one session, my daughter said "I think I'd like to try GMing..."
*sniff*
and in our last session, we needed a pregen to make the table legal. I went to take it saying "I'll play it, but only if you two don't want the extra character..." and my son said "I'll do it dad. I need the practice."

This absolutely cinches it...we're going to GenCon 2017. Now if I can only get my wife to play PFS!!
(and both kids are asking when we play at home/with our home gangs next, S!!)

Wow! Pretty cool to get your whole family involved in something you love.
I may have overstated the success just a bit. My son did enjoy it, but he felt it was a LOT all at once. Conventions may not be for him--but our periodic PFS games should work great (and that's more than I'd hoped for at the beginning...) but my daughter and I should be hitting GenCon2017. :-) Still happy.
Looking back, last thing I gave xp for was the gate encounter. So, some housekeeping:
1500 for the BackStreet-Alley Boys
1500 for the mirror man
1000 for the food delivery
1500 for the winter wolf encounter, plus 500 more for a damned creative solution. :-)
School is out next week. I'll be around (no exaggeration, the stack of papers I have to correct is more than 2,000 pages long.) I might not be quite as fast as normal, but I'll be here. As always, if I'm the player and I'm taking too long, either message me somehow or bot me.
I'm vacationing out of town the week of 4/24, back on Sunday night 5/1. I'll be sporadic, but still posting. I'll have phone only, so no moving of any pogs for me--someone will have to do that for me.

Hope your move is going well Thunderspirit. My family just closed on a house earlier today. I'm still working this weekend, but are slowly starting to move things over with the Lions's share of moving being done on Tuesday when my "weekend" starts.
And I just put an offer on a house (for those whom I grew up with it's just down the road from Yolanda's old place.)

My new job is a watch officer in the National Watch Center. Pretty cool, but yeah it's 24/7. I wouldn't mind so much but it's back and forth. A month on days then a month on nights.

Sorry guys, I've been super distracted. House hunting (not going well, we lost out on a house we bid 5% OVER asking with no closing concessions), my instructor retiring, and 2,000 pages (yes TWO THOUSAND) of correcting to do, I've fallen behind.
Hopefully TS's move went smoothly...
Incidentally, I've been using Slack for more fast paced chatter for Crimson Throne. I use it (to less extent) with TS and his crazy midwestern and Canadian friends). you guys should jump in. I've sent the invites.

Thoroughly overwhelmed, of course. Sh!t everywhere at both houses. >.>
And the hospital stay, however brief, scared the crap out of me...as I suppose it should, right?

I have SVT (hereditary), and it flared up on May 1 in the middle of loading the truck. No biggie, usually lasts 10-15 min. This time was considerably longer (over an hour), which has happened before but only 1 time. After about an hour my left arm started feeling numb and my wife called 911 — better safe than sorry, right?
EMTs couldn't record a pulse cos the heart was going too fast (machine tracked it at about 240 when they hooked me up). About the time the EMTs got me into the ambulance, it finally subsided, total of about 90 min. Took me in to make sure it wasn't something else; CT scan and echocardio came back clean, so doctor is pretty sure that's the culprit. Kept me overnight for observation.
So the move took us that day and a half longer than it should've, plus cost us having to rent the truck a second day. Haven't seen the bill yet, LOL. But I got a good scare out of the numb arm and no desire to return to the hospital anytime soon.
if that wasn't a heart attack, seeing the bill may just cause one.
