You ARE the Razmir-ish guy! I recall the phrase "living god" being thrown out there, which is what Razmir is. I can rarely affect the map placements (until they allow the mobile app or browser to do so), so Weiman should have been 20 closer when he cast (so he could catch himself.) Will assemble computer internet and get my move posted, since it requires more typing and previewing than I want to do from a phone.)
Weiman Callbazzern-Walk
|
Ah, thanks! I should really note that my inability to affect the map ~95% of the time more often. I'm usually in Tektite games, though, so I think he's noticed it, do ho ho.
Round 1/8 of Haste
Weiman, having done his singular in-combat job, moves to continuing his "win over all other Small-sized Humanoids" mission. He leaps over-top the table. Acro, high jump (40 ft move): 1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 16 + 4 = 39
"Ass! Ass! Ass!" He points with his shortsword (which he draws as part of one of these moves) and gestures to the creatures he's yet to even think about identifying.

Weiman Callbazzern-Walk

Weiman shrugs out a "I don't think they resist anything..." before getting distracted by the existence of the female halfling. He double moves over and bows, "Fear not, ass I am Weiman Callbazzern, ass-sayer. Now, what's a pretty gem like you doing in a place like this?"
Weiman has a Wayfinder, though he's just being hammy. Also, all y'all pit-standing-near folk have to make the slightly easier reflex to not fall in the pit if you end your turn next to it.
Xian Taiko

Taiko sheeted his two sword and take a 5ft. step out of the pit, waiting for being able to take his bow.
We will shoot it don't worry Pan'

Yeah, I moved, and then had to deal with a 4-year-old that had a fight with the toilet, and lost (well, really everyone lost) and I forgot to post.

Taiko sheathes his swords and readies to grab his bow.
Des drops his blade and fires an arrow into the pit, striking the last tarnspawn.

I forgot but I believe that if this creature don't have a climb speed it loses its dexterity ! So I can sneak attack it ! If that's right add the following damages please GM
Sneak: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 4, 1) = 15
Weiman Callbazzern-Walk

Given that it's a large creature (who has two perpendicular points to brace on, I'd be amazed if it could fail even an accelerated climb if it had a climb speed.
Weiman tries to cheer up the halfling lady with turbo-puns in what I think is the 3rd round of Haste, "Come on, don't be so down. Pretty ladies being all sad really puts me down in the pits!" Weiman has no real combat options beyond flanking and haste, so he'll try to distract the female from the unhappy situation.

Round 4 of Haste
"You stay here, princess; Weiman the Ass-Sayer hass buisnass to attend to." He'll dart off to threaten the beast and keep it adjacent to the pit.
I think it needed a reflex to not fall back in once it got to the top, since it ended its turn at an edge (though I might be misremembering the map. If it falls back in before my turn, Weiman will Hastily attempt to get the halfling's name, reason for being here, and what she wants for dinner tonight.

Panfalcon pelts the beast with another acid ray!
Weiman continues to chat up the femal halfling, then swings and misses the tarnspawn.
Desmond fires arrows at the tarnspawn, but misses!
Sahrek misses as well!
Taiko slices into the creature from out of nowhere and cuts it down!
Out of Combat!
The halfling crawls out from under the table, visibly shaking. "Ah, thank you! Thank you! I thought I was a goner. Are you the folks Osprey sent? I'm Courone Adle."
Xian Taiko
|
Satisfied with his last strike Taiko smiled.
He cleaned his blade a came to the halfling. Bowing to her
You're welcome Adle san. I am Xian Taiko and we are the men and women Osprey sama sent to you.
Can you explain to us what going on here ? and how these strange creatures came here to attack you ?
Aponyaye Msomi
|
Since Aponyaye still has a healing hex charge that no one wanted, he will use it on the halfling as she crawls out from under the table. "There you are! All better, haha!"
If you need healing, I will use your wand for you; if you don't have your own I don't mind using mine. Just roll them yourself and let me know how many charges if you used my wand.
"Yes, we are the Pathfidners Osprey sent to find you. My name is Aponyaye Msomi, a doctor and student at the Magaambya Academy. Are you well?" Aponyaye starts performing a routine physical on the halfling.
| GM Tektite |
The halfling responds to Taiko. “Those things are… Well, I’m not sure, really. They’ve been coming out of the tarn for the past three nights, but their numbers have grown each night. We’ve already lost a dozen miners, and these… tarn-spawned horrors have never been this bold. Even the weather’s been getting worse. And I think it all comes down to these.” She brushes a few notes from a low work bench and pulls aside a gunny sack. Beneath shines a perfect silver ingot, it’s surface peppered with a flowing, swirling script.
“I’ve identified the writing,” Adle continues. “It’s Celestial, the language of angels. From what little I’ve translated, it looks like a ward. Two names come up again and again: Aroden, and something called Nicoroux.”
Smiling at Aponyaye, she says. "Yes. Thank you very much, thank all of you."
Weiman Callbazzern-Walk

Weiman slides over to the roasted pig to the south and acquires a haunch. "You never did say what you wanted for dinner tonight, Miss Adle." After returning with a snack...

Weiman looks quickly over to anyone who stood near one of the pits with a look of worry after the ingot is introduced. "Aah! Did any of you see any imps in those magic holes earlier?!?"

Aponyaye nods at Adle's interpretation. His head jerks when he hears the name Nicoroux. "Nicoroux was a powerful pit fiend who vanished nearly 1,000 years ago. That is an ill foreboding if your translation is correct."
Weiman Callbazzern-Walk

Weiman looks unhappy at the unraveling of his joke. "Ugh, ass fun ass a box of Rocs..."
Desmond Aesculus

Desmond places his bow back over his shoulder and collects his falchion. He notices the wounds on Sahrek and removes his wand of cure light wounds.
"Here you go, boy. A couple of taps ought to set you right."

"Guess I could use a bit of healing, myself."

Desmond also sets about trying to find his missed arrows. "Waste not, and all that."
1 finds 2 doesn't find: 4d2 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2) = 5
He finds three of his missed shots.
He asks the Halfling, "Miss Adle, where did you get this silver ingot?"
Aponyaye Msomi
|
Oh, haha, sorry Weiman! I completely missed your post somehow! I guess I was just excited about making that DC 30 check.
| GM Tektite |
Adel thinks for moment. “I think the church of Aroden bound something here, below the lake. Something big. These bricks were part of that binding, and when the miners dredged them out of the lake it was like pulling bars from a prison window: this Nicoroux can’t escape yet, but I think it’s reaching out with those tarnspawn, and I think if it claims enough miners, it’ll be able to break free." She sighs, clearly thinking of the implications.
"There’s an old Arodenite temple nearby. If anything explains how to restore the binding, it’ll be in that temple. There’s, uh… There is a slight problem, though. If this is indeed a binding for some powerful creature, we’ll need all the original elements to reseal it. My bar is only the first the miners recovered. They’ve uncovered five more over the past few weeks. We need those bars before we can do anything. Most everyone has been holing up in the public house since the attacks started—it’s the sturdiest building in town. We need to get the rest of these ingots from the miners before we do anything.” As she finishes, you all hear a some loud moans, just like the tarnspawns you put down, in the distance.
Xian Taiko
|
Great, another tarnspawns to fight...
May be these creature try to take these bricks ? To protect them or to destroy them but I we want to do it ourselve we must hurry to protect it from them, isn't it ?
