Sounds like a good idea Thame. Check out the fie pit in the center there. I don't know about any scuffle at the docks. We searched there once already when we first arrived. Dosn't hurt to go over it again though.

oh and forgot to give Lara guidance for the disale device check for the lockbox.

Disable Device, Take 20: 20 + 9 = 29

Lara rolls her eyes at Thame's grin, and dutifully retrieves her lockpicks. She inserts the picks into the lock, and almost instantly, the Taldan begins scowling. Some time later, after she's let out a few muttered curses, she finally pops the lock. Lara breathes an exasperated sigh and opens the lid, then motions to Kragg. "These look like they belong with a holy-man of some sort," she says, motioning at a number of small bags, each of which contains incense, powdered silver, and a pouch containing diamond dust.

Kragg, since Guidance only lasts 1 round, and Disable Device takes at least 2, I'm not sure that's much help. Or I don't know, maybe it being cast anew every round for a minute still works. Either way, my initial rolls resulted in a wall of dice rolls that took until like Attempt #10 before I hit 24 (25 if Guidance helps), so Take 20 is just easier.

Male dwarf Cleric 7 Holy Vindicator 1 hp 61. saves 10/4/13 AC 23/11/23 Current:28

Kragg looks at the items found in the lockbox and let's out a low whistle. That is some find there. Indeed some of those are reagents for some impressive holy spells. I myself in all my years have not been blessed with such understanding or gifts from Abadar myself yet I know of them. Perhaps if I stay in his graces long enough he will bless me with further understanding of his ways. . Looking at the silver Kragg continues. Those reagents I could use given proper time and inclination. Yet I find myself drawn thin at the moment with wanting to restore the books, the chapel, and be ready in case we come across other locals that we must converse with as well.

Lara, guidance lasts for a minute or until used. Also as a cantrip I can spam it within reason.

Female Human (Taldan) Bard 8 (archaeologist) Portrait

Yeah, sorry, one minute duration not one round. It was the "until used" part that always threw me when the action was a multi-round action.

Checking the outskirts of the colony reveals nothing new until you reach the north...

A13. Pitted Land
North of the colony, but well within sight, is a small field. Inundating the meadow is a series of large holes dug in at an angle. Piles of dirt surround each hole. A large copse of trees grows due east of this location. Two dozen or more holes in this area. With a detailed search of the field, you discover fragments of leathery eggshells in a few of the holes, sized for a Small creature—and one hole that contains a human skeleton bereft of clothing or equipment.

DC 18 Perception:
You notices that burrowing tunnels connect some of the holes.

DC 20 Perception or DC 15 Heal:

You notice the bones are pitted as if exposed to acid. A finger on one of the skeleton’s hands still wears a copper-colored ring engraved with arcane symbol
