Ginger Axegrinder |

Ginger responds to Oliver "as long as no one does something to set these nice folk off, it could last for a long time. But I'd Sam starts mouthing off to these folk then their hospitality will probably stop. How are you holding Oliver, you got pretty beaten up today." She gives him smile, "you fought well."

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon gathers up the spoils of the travels through the underground and sells them as best he can. Once done, he distributes the proceeds among the party members.
He uses his share to purchase 55 gold pieces worth of spell scribing materials.

Ginger Axegrinder |

While the wounded are being healed Ginger steps into a private changing room and tries on her new chain shirt and grins."I like the feel of steel this will do nicely for me. She then steps out and goes to see how Anevia is doing and if they are able to fix her broken leg.

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon asks Elder Grelylocke to look at the inflamed wound caused by the Huecuva at the dwarven temple.
Hoping for a heal check to grant a +4 competence bonus for the next time I need to make a save against disease.
He spends six hours studying the spells from Millorn's spellbook and scribing a scroll of protection from evil.
scribe scroll DC 6: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
learn detect secret doors DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
learn magic missile DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
learn shocking grasp DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
learn silent image DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Haroon creates a scroll of protection from evil. He also manages to decipher the incantations from Millorn's spellbook sufficiently well to learn magic missile and silent image, both of which he copies into his own spellbook.
32.5 gp spent copying/scribing, 22.5 gp in scribing materials left over. Can try again to learn detect secret doors and shocking grasp in 1 week.
That done, he rests for eight hours in any lodging he can find.
Staying for a day sounds good to me too.

Elder Greylocke |

"Gladly. Now that we're not running for our lives with death at every corner, I think that's a great idea." Mordan carefully looks over the wounds, using his healing kit to clean it and attempt to disinfect it.
Heal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Sadly, he shakes his head. "The infection is tainted by dark magic. Perhaps the healer of Neatholm could assist us better."
Elder Greylocke will use his proceeds to purchase a new Healers Kit.
Percentile: 1d100 ⇒ 91
Sadly, the dice appear to not want me to have and or do ANYTHING. :D

Haroon Falstaff |

Thank you for trying Mordan, Haroon replies with genuine appreciation. If there's dark magic, hopefully the healer here knows how to combat it. Would you mind coming along? I, well, I'm still not used to others looking at me and seeing all this... he gestures to the once again hidden wings and tail. It would mean a lot to me.
With or without Elder Greylocke, Haroon makes his way to the healer and and inquires about assistance.

Sam Jakobs |

Sam also checks on Anevia and the blind elf after they get Hargus' situation remedied. Clinging onto the slim hope that the surly man was smart enough to make arrangements in case of his untimely demise. Which also made them realize just how little they knew about him or their injured companions. The gunslinger decided to try to amend that, starting with the friendliest of them.
Sam fingers the silver symbol of Desna hanging from their neck as they approach, putting on a reassuring smile. "So...err...since we've got time enough to talk, I was just curious and all about you. Ah...you born in the city? Got any family here?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

GM Striker |

In the morning, Chief Sull escorts you to one of the several doors that mark exits from the cavern in which Neathholm is located-the route beyond this door leads directly to the traitors' den, and past that, to the surface. He wishes you all luck in your journey, gives you the potions he promised, and tells them he eagerly awaits word of whether the crusaders wish them to join the battle above.
Lann steps forward to accompany you, While it is not too far to the traitors' lair I offer my services as an envoy and guide. You of course are always welcome to return here to Neathholm if we need to retreat, rest, and recover before making additional assaults on the traitors."
From the hamlet of Neathholm, the tunnel winds mostly in a southeast direction for about 2,000 feet (16 minutes of travel). The tunnel narrows down at this point to a 5-foot-wide passageway, the walls carved with picks and chisels.
In a hushed voice Lann speaks trying to prevent his voice from carrying farther down the tunnel. "We're very close now to the entrance to the traitors' den. The entrance lies just around that bend there, I'll wait here with the injured and let you clear out the worst of them. I'm sure we can pick off..." At this he eyes Anevia"any of them that manage to get past you."

Ginger Axegrinder |

Ginger nods and pulls out her trusty dwarven waraxe and grins at Lann "we got this covered for you." which all is spoken in a hushed tone. Giving her companions a nod Ginger leads the party into the traitors den. Her axe is hungry this morning maybe it will get a breakfast.

Valtyra Beltain |

Valtyra holds her long spear at the ready waiting to attack anyone who shows themselves to be the enemy.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon holds up the invisibility potion and speaks in a similarly hushed voice. Anyone want to have a look first, see what awaits us around the corner?

GM Striker |

Sorry the travel time was 26 min not 16.
Ahead:
Barricades made of heaped loose rocks and wooden boards bisect this cavern. Beyond the barricades, a wooden screen covers the lower half of a tunnel mouth. Two mongrelmen maintain a watch here, keeping an eye out for troublemakers from Neathholm.
Map Updated

Elder Greylocke |

Mordan follows Ginger. "Agreed. Some of us rattle significantly, best to let the quiet ones scout. Call out if you run into trouble." With that, he readies the massive wall of steel on his arm, resting it on the ground and pulling his sword out. He begins to quietly intone prayers and invocations to Iomedae for safety and courage.

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon hands the vial to Sam. It should last for three minutes, but it will end immediately if you attack them. After you take a look, maybe I can soften them up with my scale. Just let me know when you're back. Haroon stays behind Elder Greylocke and Ginger, and pulls out his Terendelev's scale.

Sam Jakobs |

"Two things. First, even if those guys are dumb as heck, they're going to notice if that screen opens and closes all by itself. So second, it'll be better for all of us if we take them out quietly first, then I go and explore the rest of this place by your plan. I can get the first one with my scale - not as loud as my gun," Sam whispers to Haroon.

Haroon Falstaff |

I'll not hinder you if you wish to parley with them, Mordan, just try to keep your distance. The rest of us can hang back and be ready to jump in if your discussion does not go well, Haroon offers in a low voice by way of a compromise. Is that agreeable to everyone else?

Sam Jakobs |

"...for the record, I just want to say that plan is a terrible idea, because there's no room for us to 'jump' in or hide," Sam comments. "Just hit them with the glitter and then we can knock them out while they're blinded, if you're squeamish about killing them." Sam says to them all. "You can be noble without being stupid, old man."

Haroon Falstaff |

Well, that's much better. Everyone ready? Once the rest of the group nods their assent and positions themselves, Haroon prepares to step out around the corner and unleash the glitter cloud from Terendelev's Scale.

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon steps around the corner and unleashes the glitterdust from Terendelev's Scale, centered directly between the two guards.

GM Striker |

I'm retconing a bit on that scale going to make the gliterdust spell full power.
The two men are surprised by the sudden appearance of the wizard and even more so by the silent explosion of glittering dust the engulfs them.
Will Save DC 13: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Will Save DC 13: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Coughing and spluttering they shout out an alarm! "Intruders! More of that lot from Neatholm are here!" The guards brandish their clubs and move to take cover behind the barricades.
Sam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Ginger: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 0 + 2 = 13

Mongrelman 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Mongrelman 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Since they are going last I doubt they will do anything to you so just do your actions and roll. If they some how manage to survive round 1 I'll update the map with positions.

Sam Jakobs |

Just since I wanted to post Sam's surprise round action before these guys can shout their alarm.
The gunslinger blasts the first mongrelfolk to open his mouth to raise the alarm with an arrow of electricity.
Sparking Scale: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Elder Greylocke |

Mordan rushes forward, swinging the magic Morningstar swinging down in an arc. Mordan pulls the blow though, trying for a knockout blow rather than braining the mongrelman.
Non-Lethal attack: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Non-Lethal damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
And the dice are back to where I expect. :D

Valtyra Beltain |

Valtyra quickly moves up to engage the mongrelmen with her long spear.

Haroon Falstaff |

Waiting on Ginger before I declare my action.

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon moves to a position with line of sight and lobs an acid dart at one of the guardsmen. Preferably one that is not yet in melee.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Haroon Falstaff |

Haroon hustles forward, muttering Quickly, quickly. We don't want to be here when their friends arrive...

Ginger Axegrinder |

Ginger comes in after Oliver and sees the two men only half ready. [b]"You men half to options surrender and stay quiet or not and wish you had." Her axe drips blood when she says the this.
intimidate: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 natural 20 the dice are liking me..I think I just jinxed it.

Elder Greylocke |

With a heavy sigh, Mordan will rush the closest one. Using his speed and their surprise to his advantage he aims for the head hoping to knock the mislead creature out rather than kill. In a soft voice, he calls out "This does not have to end badly. Return to your home, ask for forgiveness from your gods and families. There are demons afoot, clouding your judgment with honeyed words and gilded tongues. Do not let them goad you into dying, for your soul is all they want in the end."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
